As the military machine ground to a halt over the rough mountainous terrain The British Troops were prepared to cross the border at a moments notice. Many Kazakhstanian troops had been brought to the front. Their long trench coats and outdated technology were no match for the larger numerically and technologically superior forces of The British Empire.

Orders had come in from London about fifteen moths ago detailing the preparations for the invasion, while intelligence from MI6 was quickly gathered and re-distributed throughout the chain of command. Most reports detailed the enemy forces as nothing more than a rag tag army of poorly trained conscripts which for the most part was true.
Armed Forces: strength 80,000 to 90,000; 1996 army strength about 25,000, air force about 15,000, border troops 5,000 to 6,000, naval force in planning stage.
Major Military Units: Army has two motorized rifle divisions, one tank division, one artillery regiment. National Guard operates 25 percent of boats in Caspian Sea Flotilla. Air force has one heavy bomber regiment; one division with three fighter-bomber regiments; and single, independent reconnais-sance, fighter, and helicopter regiments.
Military Budget: estimated at US$297 million.
The China Kazakhstan border now had more than two million troops strewn across it. Frantic diplomatic messages had been sent to London and promptly ignored by His Majesty from the future colony. It wasn’t question of who would win as all knew the Empire would prove victorious. The main question now was how long would the war take?
With small skirmishes breaking out with Pantera the Revised Empire had no choice but to allocate only a small amount of the China garrison to this enterprise. Though the small amount was more than enough.

July 4th
With mass outcries from the United Nations, United States and Russia the British Empire continued ignoring their stance on the invasion of Kazakhstan. At nine in the morning over two million troops crossed the border and began the bloody battle that would ensue the nation.

Bombers screamed overhead implementing the vast Arial dance that was dog fighting. The newer PX-131’s were the pinnacle of Arial engineering and continued to mop the floor with the meagre Kazakhstan forces. The army crossing the mountainous borders began to suffer intense resistance from the defenders, with each one making up for their lack of bullets and weapons in patriotic zeal. Sadly it was not enough, in one day enough men passed into Khazakstan from China to outnumber the entire Khazakstan army at least twenty to one and the British were only facing half of that amount, the rest were forming a Warsaw like defence in their capital of Alma-ata. The British forces pushed through the Kanakhstanian lines in a large push with over powering air power in the opening hours of the assault. The 1st to 21st Chinese divisions were already moving forwards towards the capital where a quick victory would result in the surrender of the nation.

As British forces move through the nation, food, medical supplies and hospitals are being set up by British civil servants already intent on insuring the people receive as much help as necessary. His Royal Highness King George the third has already decreed his intent on allowing all British territory in Kazakhstan to enjoy the public services that everyone else in the empire has by birth right. All medical care has now been declared by His Royal Highness to be free. Food stations are being set up and recruitment for a more effective militia is already starting. With the current hostilities with the current military regieme now in control of Kazakhstan His Majesty the King has decided to visit the nation himself and pledge his effort to improving human rights.

“For too long have the people in Asia undergone the most despicable treatment. For too long have they suffered under the iron fist of Military dictators or the Stalanist regime of Soviet Russia. For too long have they been thrown into poverty when we all know that they are proud and worthy of respect and riches. For too long have we stood aside and done nothing. But NO MORE! The world no longer desires such things. The world desires peace and fair trade. Kazakhstan desires peace and fair trade. But whet they desire the most. What they NEED the most, is respect and the ability to live their lives freely. AND WE WILL GIVE IT TO THEM

The dust swirled into the air in a gentle storm of calmness. The vast iron legions of the Empire descended into the background while Rebel opposition now stood in their way. The war had raged for only a week now, with the Official government surrendering three days ago, though that was hardly the end of the fight. Rebel opposition was centred within the Capital which was by now under siege. Supplies and food resources continued to be transported in as to insure the survival of as many civilians as possible while the rebellion hid under a human shield.

General Grevious of His Majesties Highlander division was now approaching the advantage point just above the city. Walking up on top of the high hill he was masked by the swarming tide of artillery shells which made their way towards the rebel positions. “It is indeed a sad day when cowards hide behind the defenceless.” Grevious said to no one in particular. Ordering the army to advance with a simple radio command he watched as the already ruined city would be turned to dust.

Thousands of tanks, and thousands of men made their way ever closer, with hundreds dieing and many tanks detonating from the sporadic but yet amazingly accurate fire. The relentless advance however could not be stopped.

Moving into the city building after building fell into a fire of rubble while civilians ran for safety the Rebellion and Empire fought for domination. The victor was never in any question only how long it would take, but the rebels could not surrender, not while they had pride in their abilities and believed in their mad man of a dictator.

At home the news of the inbasion was the top story in every news paper with headlines such as IS THIS NECESSARY? from The Times and IS THIS JUSTICE? The Sun

Though the recent peace settlement with Pantera had appeased the populaces image of the King making every outcry only a minor one. With the slightest of touches the headlines would go away, and away they would go.
