As the military machine ground to a halt over the rough mountainous terrain The British Troops were prepared to cross the border at a moments notice. Many Kazakhstanian troops had been brought to the front. Their long trench coats and outdated technology were no match for the larger numerically and technologically superior forces of The British Empire.
Orders had come in from London about fifteen moths ago detailing the preparations for the invasion, while intelligence from MI6 was quickly gathered and re-distributed throughout the chain of command. Most reports detailed the enemy forces as nothing more than a rag tag army of poorly trained conscripts which for the most part was true.
Armed Forces: strength 80,000 to 90,000; 1996 army strength about 25,000, air force about 15,000, border troops 5,000 to 6,000, naval force in planning stage.
Major Military Units: Army has two motorized rifle divisions, one tank division, one artillery regiment. National Guard operates 25 percent of boats in Caspian Sea Flotilla. Air force has one heavy bomber regiment; one division with three fighter-bomber regiments; and single, independent reconnais-sance, fighter, and helicopter regiments.
Military Budget: estimated at US$297 million.
The China Kazakhstan border now had more than two million troops strewn across it. Frantic diplomatic messages had been sent to London and promptly ignored by His Majesty from the future colony. It wasn’t question of who would win as all knew the Empire would prove victorious. The main question now was how long would the war take?
With small skirmishes breaking out with Pantera the Revised Empire had no choice but to allocate only a small amount of the China garrison to this enterprise. Though the small amount was more than enough.
July 4th
With mass outcries from the United Nations, United States and Russia the British Empire continued ignoring their stance on the invasion of Kazakhstan. At nine in the morning over two million troops crossed the border and began the bloody battle that would ensue the nation.
