Kyanges

This is my first attempt at…whatever this is…Explanatory RPing?
Well, in any case, this is my attempt to legitimize somewhat my move to FT.
Any opinions you have, feel free to post. I'm pretty n00b at this, but I don't mind if you're too critical. In fact, I think that I'll welcome it.
Um, here goes part one.
The sun gleamed brightly over the small capitol of Kyanges. Cars were piled up as the road underwent yet another massive expansion. In the skies, civilian planes buzzed about. The city streets were filled with people as they made their daily mad dash to work. It was another uneventful day in the R.O.K. But while everything pointed towards a typical day, after this day, nothing would be the same.
In the Saphieron (equivalent of the White House), President Kiosan sat quietly at her desk, listening to the chatter of her advisors from across the Government. Today was the annual review, where all made their case as to what was the best thing to do next in their respective branch. The most common suggestion was to raise spending in whatever the advisors represented. However, Kiosan wasn’t interested in what her advisors had to say. None of them ever spoke the truth anyway. All tried to spin the facts in their favor, so they would receive increased spending in their departments.
[“How did this bunch of trash get into MY cabinet?”] She thought.
Like in the US, elected officials could choose their own people and kick whoever they chose, however, unlike the US, this was almost never practiced. Kiosan was beginning to regret not making that choice.
“Alright people, give me the straight facts. I only want the standard report.”
One of her analysts spoke. “Ms. President, maam, in a nut shell, the economy is reporting the biggest drop in unemployment ever recorded, the military is as usual demanding more funding, but given the cooling regional climate, I don’t think that’s going to be necessary. The Greenies are actually happy with our stance on the environment for once, and given the fact that since you took office, our nearly desert nation has returned to something of a tropical paradise; it’s not hard to see why. Leaders of that Violet Religion have been speaking out for more support for cannibalism, but uh, it’s safe to say that they won’t be getting much support. On all other matters, since you only asked for some simple answers, we’ll just say that your approval numbers are on the rise.”
“Alright then, we’ll just…”
Just as she began to speak, a bright flash bathed the capitol with a bluish glow.
“What the h3ll?...”
“Get down!”
The room erupted into action. The Talon operatives guarding the President were instantly alert, and secured the perimeter around the President. All advisors had their own detail of elite Rapier Teams as their defense.
The flash was just the beginning. In the room, there was another flash, and the greenish-bluish column of light appeared in the office. The Talon operatives began to fire at the columns, but they were quickly subdued by a sudden burst of an energy that appeared to be electricity.
Eventually, the columns of light began to materialize into human forms, while the light outside began to fade as well.
The whole room was stunned in amazement.
“Freeze!” shouted the remaining Rapiers.
“Don’t be alarmed.” Said one new “members” in the room.
The soldiers looked over at the Talon operatives on the ground, which was a strange sight, the Talons had never suffered casualties before, yet there they were. The call to be calm didn’t exactly seem well founded. The Rapier just repeated.
“I said hold it right there and don’t move!” he shouted as he stepped toward the person.
The person seemed unfazed, and took a step forward. The soldier raised his rifle higher in an attempt to seem more intimidating.
The President shouted out, “Wait, hold your fire!”
She turned to the man, “Who are you?”
The Man smiled and said, “We are Kyanges citizens, from the future. We have much to share with you.”
