The Greek island of Corfu, situated off the mainland in the Adriatic, is to be seized and integrated into the Soviet State of Hrstrovokia, in retaliation for the aggressive expansionism demonstrated by the Republic of Blacktower against the island of Sardinia.
The 31st Airborne Division will begin drops onto LZs on the north of Corfu, specifically Kassiopi and Stefanos. Utilizing their ability for insertion in vary methods, from HALO to minimize detection to Helicopter Assault, the 31st Airborne will secure the north of Corfu as the vanguard of Operation Valkyrie, with another 5 divisions [x1 Infantry, x1 Mechanized Infantry, x1 Artillery, x2 Army Support Group] to be transported once the ports of Stefanos and Kassiopi are under control.
As you read these words, the 31st Airborne is beginning it's ardous journey from Sekula AFB outside Belgrade to the Mediterranean island. The assault will begin with company-sized drops provided by C-130s of the TW [Transport Wing] and CH-47s of the Army Aviation Korps. These units will be assisted by close-support from A-10s and AV-8s, while F-16s stationed at Sarende AFB, Albania will attempt to dominate the air. These forces shall also be joined by BattleGroup Liberation, which is moving from Varna on the Black Sea to the Aegean. There is a very real probability that the Crimson Guard Land, Sea and Air Special Forces will be used.
If Blacktower wishes to end this conflict, they need only to withdraw from Sardinia and make a full apology to the islanders for their wrongful occupation.
