I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me make a new "earth" thread, but this one will be drastically different in the fact that it will be based in Ancient times. Which time period exactley can still be discussed, by I was thinking either Midevil times, or Roman times, as these were the two most militaristic periods of the ancient world. If there would be any interest in this please let me know and if you are interested in helping please TG me. Im thinking that instead of using an entire globe it would be based in Europe. The kingdom sizes would be drastically smaller obviously.

I think that it would be a great idea to start an Earth like this. I dont think anything like it has been done before, I jsut need to know if people would join it or not.

Sounds nice... although, how about instead of basing it in Europe we make our own map for it? Might be a little more interesting, but I dont know.

Well its a tough call between Midevil times and Roman times. Because I am currently addicted to Rome:Total War, I think Im going to go with the Roman era for the Earth. That and because no one has made any input otherwise.

I fully support this idea. However, why not the whole planet? I'm itching to get my hands on the Chinese empire of old. The Great Wall as we know it was being built around the same time the Rome was going out and expanding (When ever that Hadrian's Wall was being built or something.). However, my knowledge of ancient history is terrible, and I'm probably way off, but it's still cool.

If your knowledge is terrible, you made a close guess. The Chinese started the Great Wall somewhere around 2000 B.C. If we do a Roman RP, may I be the Germanic Tribes?

you can be whomever you want. As I will explain in the main thread, this is BASED on Roman times, but not directley tied to it. So there is no real "Roman" empire persay. So you can be whoever you want really.

I'm in it alone...which means there's plenty of room to build OUR OWN Sanctuary of the gods. Let's let ancient myth rest in peace, though, and formulate something of our own.

That'll make me the God of the Sea, wouldn't it? I've already got my palace set up...and the figure chosen to represent me is already on my Flag...conveinent, eh?

Hey sure, I support it. I already have an idea of where I would like to be and what kind of style. Something like Spartans with the numbers of the Persians. Both at the height of their technological power and economic systems. Which is basically like how the Romans were until weak governmental figures and the rapid expansion of terriority caused it to all fall apart.
