His most enlightened emperorship Alexander I is in hospital tonight as he was shot in the street by unknow gunnmen. He is conscious and in stable condition.
This confirms the odd rumours that have been circulating about the emperor walking in civilian clothing throughout the city, going about his bussiness without bodyguards.
Apparently, his emperorship was walking through a market square in the Southside, on his way to a bakery, when an armed man opened fire on him with a 9mm. The emperor returned fire with his own handgun, but was struck in the ribs with a bullet and felled. The gunnman fled, and police are investigating as we speak. If anyone has any information, please go to your local police station, as this criminal is to be tried for a string of crimes, not least of which being in possesion of illegal firearms, and crimes against the state, among many other blatantly obvious offenses.
The emperor assures you at home that he will be fine thanks to the work of the great doctors taking care of him, and it is expected he will make a relativly fast recovery............"
