Finding themselves with a surplus of money, recently alloted to them by the parliment as their annual 18% of the GDP, they found that they had more money than they had planned. A number of experimental projects are being brought into test phases.

1. Project Umbrella

The strategic use of blimps over vital areas, such as the mediterranean sea, for reconnaisance purposes. Such blimps would be manned by only a few people, and unarmed, but have large amounts of reconnaisance equipment. Such a blimp also uses technology similar to cell-phone towers to spread certain types of mostly harmless radiation(the kind that are all over america, etc), which the chellian military uses to detect aircraft. The Blimps would have very long flight time, and would work to detect movements over important areas. They would also have civilian uses, also.

2. Operation Rogue

The use of MARPAT style camoflague on AFV's. The use of such camoflague worked excellently on troops, and methods of putting such camoflague on AFV's has come about. Use on Flying vehicles is possible, but not seen as a good idea.

3. Other assorted projects

Use of Metal storm in tanks(the ignition process, not multiple shells in a barrel)

High Velocity, High RoF medium-calibre weapons on IFV's(56mm to 105mm).*

Single-use 155mm mortars(for the purpose of launching BONUS shells by infantry)

Reloadable Thermobaric Shell weapons on IFV's

Tactical chemical weapons*

Strategic Biological weapons*

*Moreso than already used.

The following have come into production status:

155mm mortars(Not single use, but low RoF)

Operation Rogue is in effect

The following have entered testing phase:

The use of Compressed helium 'grenades' as infantry weapons.

Hmmm, how do these Heliam grenades work? And can't that blimp network, the way you described, be used detect stealth aircraft as well?

The helium grenades are having troubles, as we are having trouble maintaining good structural integrity without making the seal too hard to break, to release the helium as quick as needed...

We dont know about the blimp network, though it is a possibility. However, we use passive radar and cell phone radiation as our primary methods of stealth detection.
