[ANNC News Update]

"Today it was publicly announced that Avadrian government has undertaken 'Project Longinus' the Empire's effort to independantly develop a nuclear weapon. We have been informed that the project has been proceeding for several months now and that the 'Heaven's Lance' ICBM platform has been selected as the primary delivery method for the new weapon.

It's been reported that Project Longinus has been met with outstanding success and testing should begin testing before the end of the year.

We are pleased to hear of your interest in Avadrian affairs. Once Project Longinus is completed, we would be willing to work on joint projects to further develop the technology. However all things deemed as 'stepping stones' towards a new breakthrough or what have you, will be handeled exclusively by Avadrians, using Avadrian methods, and Avadrian equipment. But in close, we look forward to the potential of future cooperation between our two nations, on such matters.

We are proud to announce that Project Longinus is nearing it's final phases and should be ready for testing within weeks. However we believe that their are no proper testing facilities or locations within Avadria and are looking towards the world community to offer a proper test site for our weapon. The financial end can be discussed after we receive offers. As well Avadria will be providing the actual supports and equipment for the test.

"Several weeks ago it was announced that the aforementioned Project Longinus would be nearing testing within a short period of time. Given recent complications with the project and the lack of a test site, the Project's head, Professor Alexander Gallahari with approval from the proper channels, has opted to split the project into three phases."

"The first phase of the weapon is a simple aerial bomb, the second is reported as being a smaller, artillery fired weapon, while the third and final phase, which the project was named after, would utilize the proposed Heaven's Lance ICBM platform."

"Phase I testing should begin within the month, followed shortly by Phase II."
