The early 21st century is a unique period in the history of humanity. The geographical constraints that once seperated us have been cast aside by the astonishing progress of technology, satellites orbiting miles above allow us to conduct real-time global communication, the atom has been torn apart and now we peer inside in wonder, finding even more worlds to explore. Modern industry, with the great strides now made thanks to automated robotics, has given us the capability to produce more, faster. The mystery of who we are, why we are, has been solved with our focus concentrated upon DNA, the structural code responsible for the makeup of everything in our universe.
Yet, if the world has been made smaller thanks to heavenly bodies, then why are there such vast differences between people, how wealthy or healthy they are. Why do some starve when there is more than enough food produced on this planet, infact enough to feed 67,000,000,000 of us? Why are some sitting in the cold, rain crashing upon their head, only wanting human contact, only wanting something to eat? Why is there so much suffering? Why can we not all enjoy the fruits of our labour equally?
Because unfortunately, there are some who seek to keep us this way, to keep us ignorant while they divide up the world, steal it's resources and drain them away, leaving nothing for the next generation. There is a system of economics in place which means that though you might be need something, if you dont have money, you dont matter. This is a world of material possesions, of outside appearances, of truly shallow values. We are being reduced to nothing, to customers. It doesnt matter if we object anymore. Those who believe that all is lost, there is hope, as long as the flame of the human spirit endures, so shall we.
With all the advances we have made, with all the power we now have, we are still nowhere near to making the human condition any better than it was when we began. It is the plan of this government, to help everyone, everywhere, regardless of race, of sex, of idealogy. We will promote peace over violence, sharing over greed, love over hate. This shall be our gift to the world.

[OOC: I think it's safe to say that at the moment, there is a new cold war in the Nationstates Multi-Verse, a new idealogical conflict. The lines are being drawn, it is now time to decide where you stand.]
