Bostonesis, Ryanius Strutonia(AP) The Kingdom of Ryanius Strutonia announced today, the successful testing of it's Satellite-Based Missile Defense System (SBMDS). After several years of development, the SBMDS has successfully neutralized every missile tested from all known missile delivery platforms, targetting the powerful, island kingdom.
"This is a great day in the history of our kingdom!" announced King Strutta, "Our nation's security has been assured for the foreseeable future!"
The announcement comes almost one year to the day after the kingdoms' admitting possession of a nuclear doomsday weapon. As a non-signatory of any nuclear non-proliferation treaties, Ryanius Strutonia is viewed as a threat by many of the world's nations. However, the Kingdom reiterates it's non-confrontational history and vehemently denies any imperialistic intentions.
"We are a peace-loving people seeking only to provide security for our kingdom and the region of KELLEYTOPIA!" added a royal spokesman.
Despite today's announcement, palace spokesmen report that strict security procedures for access to the island will not be eased at this time. However, visitors, willing to be subjected to a rigorous background check and full body cavity search, are welcome to come and enjoy the beautiful nude beaches, natural environment and gaming that is a staple of the island kingdom.
