In the asteroid fields near Nexon VI
The LSS Kariak stood watch over the asteroid fields which, just a few years ago, was the moon of Nexon VI. It was destroyed during the Great Battle, and it had shattered into pieces. However, the weapons that destroyed the moon had caused a massive amount of rare materials to appear on the asteroids, so miners had been mining the scene ever since. Of course, the occasional pirate would attack, but thats what the Kariak was for. The asteroid field was as safe as it could be. Or so they thought.
"Sir! Unidentified ships approaching!" said an ensign to the captain. "What? Show me a picture, pronto!" responded the captain.

"I...have NO clue who they are. Hail the ship."
"Roger..."
The ensign pressed a few buttons and sent the hail signal, but instead of showing their leader on-screen the ships began to open fire on the miners.
"Battle posistions! Battle posistions! All hands on deck! Go go go go go!"
The three attacking ships launched hundreds of missiles at the miners. The miners tried to fight back using their drones, but the Lightning Starian ships, no matter how much they had integrated with the Gallente ones, were still inferior to those of the five empires. Within a few minutes, all of the mining ships had been destroyed and the Kariak was at near-critical damage. Finally, the ship transmitted a message to the ship.
"Lightning Starian, transmit this message to your leaders:
We are but a scouting force of a much larger fleet. We have already managed to destroy the Amarr Empire, and we are going after the others. However, you have but a little time before we come after you. We look forward to meeting you on the battlefield."
The ships then left the system, and the Kariak sent the message to the CEO of The Lightning Star. Moments later, the ship exploded, killing all its members. The asteroid field, soon named the Kariak Miners Field in remembrance of that day, was full of corpses and open ships hulls.
