A festival of film, music and sport is being hosted in 7 years' time in Random Kingdom. People can buy tickets for $50 each, or $30 for government officials. If musicians or athletes would like to perform, let the RK government know. Accommodation is inclusive as when the hall is prepared, an on-site hotel will be present. The main show is "Geckos R' Us" - a fivesome of uncommon geckos that have been trained to sing in unison.
Tickets are being sold throughout Random Kingdom, and internationally. The cash will be split - one third to Random Kingdom's regeneration plans, one third to the people involved, and the last to charity.

Reading the news, Neelix decides to send a clerk to watch and observe the concert. The Clerk, Jufyt, sees this as a great opportunity to broaden his horizon, and proposes to go as an official delegate.
I will talk about this at the next Council meeting, Neelix answers. and if you do well there, you might even get an ambassadorship out of this.
With hope in his heart Jufyt steps in his car and leaves for the Airportvehicle.

No, they are entirely gecko, they just have a more developed voice, and can be trained to sing.

Most people in Slaytanicca wishing to see these legends can't afford tickets! Our government wishes to purchase a quantity, so we may raffle them off to our citizens.

In response to this, a suggestion to put 10,000,000 tickets, at a cost of about $500,000,000 in printing and shipping (payed on behalf of the government), on reserve for Slaytannica and other nations, was passed in the houses of ministry today, by the senate at 47-15. They will be offered to governments for free.

We thank you greatly for your kindness! We forsee the tickets will become the new Wonka bars in Slaytanicca.
(OOC: We have a decent living standard and a good economy, but high taxes and so not much actual personal wealth.)

The Government of Random Kingdom has taken over full management of the concert, and is planning to relocate it to the Unity Hall (venue for the LWA) once it is completed in 3 years' time. As well as Geckos R' Us, the Kingdom Orchestra, RK boy band Complex Theorem, and several guest speakers will be attending, turning the small concert into a international unity event. Tickets will still be sold at the regular price, but the government is considering offering premiums to government officials.

More news: The concert has been expanded again. This time, instead of a 1-day music event, it is now a week-long festival to celebrate the re-establishment of government, as well as unity, prosperity and good music. Bands and musicians from any nations are now welcome to perform, and will receive 10% off the ticket price. As well as music, a film festival, wrestling matches and sports events will be taking place. The bad news: the construction of the Unity Hall will now take about 7 years, because of plans to build a conservatory, sports field and on-site hotel, and ticket prices have gone up to $50. (People who have already bought tickets do not need to pay the full rate, as a sign of goodwill)

"Festering Hate", a political rap-metal band with influences including Stuck Mojo and One Minute Silence, and "Flamethrower", a particularly brutal death metal/grindcore band wish to play at your festival, but unfortunately do not know the correct channels to apply. I would be grateful for contact details, so I may pass them on to the bands.

Budding musicians: to apply, either:
send a letter giving contact details to the Random Kingdom Houses of Ministry, New Hope. Just write "RK Government" on the envelope and give it to any RK post channel - they'll understand.
send a telegram to the government.
or...
email the ministry of Public Relations. The address can be found on the side of front of anything governmental.

Excellent news! I will forward details to the bands immediately. Also applying will be "Helgaar's Reign", a Viking thrash/power band, "Crack Factory", and insane blend of speed metal, gabba and industrial, and "Amorphous Tendrils", a rock/electronicca outfit heavy on the arpegiators.

Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=377707) Geckos R' Us will not be taking part in the concert. Instead, pop band Astron Kingdom have filled in.
