Ultimatum to Northern Congo

Psov
26-11-2004, 05:01
The Republic of Psov will give the nation of North Congo 48 hours to call off the execution of 1000 political prisoners and to free those communists being detained. If they consider them a threat then our nation will be willing to open our arms to them. If Congo does not respond in 48 hours, or refuses to adhere to our demands we will commence military operations in North Congo, we call on other advocates of human rights to do the same.

The FCD, having peacekeeping troops inside Upper Congo, wishes to make the following statement:

We wished it didn't have to come to this, but it does at this time seem unlikely that the government agrees to your demands. In case of an invasion, the FCD troops will remain in the nation to help civilians. These troops are to be regarded as strictly neutral.

As previously stated, any attack on our troops with the intent to harm FCD citizens will be seen as an act of war, and will be responded to accordingly. The FCD doesn't want to go to war, when we only came here to keep the peace. Keep this in mind.

Unfortunatly we must team up with FCD, we consider any attack upon the Dumpsterdanian embassy or on our honour guard there an declaration of war.
We will make no attempts to leave the large complex so there will be no provocations from our side during this conflict.

You have been warned.

All neutural parties involved in the Conflict will be left untouched, though we wonder why nations so concerned with the civilians in Congo would stand by and allow the Government there to execute those very civilians.

Official Annoucement of the United States of Allanea

While we are in no way supportive of communism, we support the Psovian statement in both spirit and language. We believe that the power of the Northern Congo government over it’s citizens is limited by basic individual rights. The right not to be executed over one’s political beliefs is not conditional, and belongs to everyone – communists and even Nazis.

Again, while we are in no means supportive of Communism, we will happily aid in the removal of those prisoners out of Northern Congo and into any Communist nation they would like to move to. Moreover – while we shudder at the thought of their evil ideology- if no such nation is found, we will provide political refugee status for them in the United State.

The Government in Congo has yet to realise that their overbearing and oppresive policies so early in their nations history will lead to international outrage. Simply asking other nations to "leave them alone" will not cut it, for them or their citizens. While we would prefer not to have to spill any Congoise blood, we will pledge forces if they do not immediately cease their violent policies regarding political opposition. That is, Congo must agree to release those detained into society, or deport them to a willing country. Should you fail to respond, or adhere, we will initiate military action. Please do not force bloodshed on your nation, as well as other nations who will pledge their peoples lives for the sake of your own citizens.

While we are concerned of the wellbeing of the citizens of Upper Congo, the 1000 prisoners have been tried and found guilty of treason by the laws of their nation. We have found no proof that the sentence is unjust, and we therefore feel that we have no right to meddle in the affairs of the nation.

We feel that it is unfortunate and we would have preferred Upper Congo to reach another solution, but the nation is acting with accordance to its policies, so can do nothing but help keep the civilians of the nation safe.

It seems as if war is inevitable at this point. Let us all hope that this ends well for all parts involved. And godspeed.

Surely we are all gentlemen here and can talk to each other as such? If both the Congonese and Psovian goverment would like to engage in some sort of talks the Dumpsterdanian embassy is open to hold them.

All of us must see that diplomacy and not violence is the first line of defence, we urge both countries to sit at the table and talk this out. However, in order to prevent any further grudges on either side I request that Upper Congo halts the execution of the rebels and Psov delays or postpones it military attack.

Should both parties be un-willing then both have shown to lack the maturity and if I may say "the balls" to talk and will just resort to clubbing each other over the head with sticks.

There will be no need for talks, let alone an attack if they would simply halt the execution and allow them into another country, doing so they would no longer be threatening Congo, which is the goal isn't it? Or are there other motives for these executions?

Maybe a better understanding is required of other cultures, do you even know the conditions of the crimes these people's are accused off? We, in the Empire also don't like the way some countries function, that goes especialy for communists but we do not go on large crusades to change the world in what is seen by us as the "perfect" culture. We urge both parties to settle this by talks and not by comparing private parts.

The following crimes were commited by the 1,000 prisoners on their march towards the capital:

Raping women under the age of 20 *over 30 reported cases*
Molestation of boy's under the age of 16 *over 24 reported cases*
Looting
Burning down Public Buildings
Burning flags of ALL nations
Murdering the innocent.

The first two crimes are punishible by death alone. The last four are too punishible by death. I now rest my case.

I'm sorry but if you check the thread you said the reason for the executions were fighting against the government, and the other communists were sent to Slave Labour camps for their alignment. When were these charges brought to the attention of the international community?

It is too late. All prisoners have been executed in a manner most fitting to our court of laws. There is nothing you can do. The Communists were given a fair trial by foreign, hard-working judges and with substantial evidence were swiftly dealt with. More case of rape and molestation keep flooding in.

The Presidential Guard will not stand idly by while there country is being invaded. They will wait for your army in the beaches. All cities have been equiped with enough anti-aircraft defences to stop even an armada of bombers or fighters.

With the production rights bought in only a week all factories have churned out some 4,000 T-720 MBT's, some 400 Super Cobra Attack Helo's, 200 Volcano Mine Dispenser's and a large amount of aircraft and ammunition. GHI has promised some 500,000 troops with with our 240,000 men your 60,027 don't seem oh so mighty to me. Don't drag yourself into a war you cannot win.
