Last Chance for Peace

Numerous nations surrendered to the Empire of Tanthan, who emerged victorious out of a relatively recent conflict with the Aligned Planets and its allies. One of the Nations that surrendered to Tanthan was the Nation of Plaid Zone. The nation was later divided among other nations in a free for all race to claim its territories during which, Tanthan claimed a significant portion of Plaid zone.

Soon, the Empire of Tanthan decided to launch an operation called "Operation Exodus" (A deceptive title), the forceful relocation of the people of Plaid zone into Tanthan. The Republic of Kyanges has attempted to negotiate for the return of these citizens to their home land, however, the Empire of Tanthan refused, saying that it lacked the funds and power to conduct another major relocation. The R.O.K. had offered to call upon all the nations in its region to assist with the return. We also offered to provide the necessary transports for Tanthan, and even offered a reasonable time table for Tanthan to regain the funds necessary, to at least, slowly return the citizens of New Plaid Zone. Tanthan has refused all of these offers. The Plaid Territories which were under control of the R.O.K. have long since been returned to Plaid zone, simply when they asked, while Tanthan has chosen to remain the conqueror.

Tanthan has also begun construction on a large floating military base which the R.O.K. and it regional allies see as a possible future threat to the balance of power between our two nations, as well as a security threat to our region of Uberasia. Negotiations with Tanthan calling for a halt on any further development or at least a scale back on the project have failed. Because it is believed that the "Arc Angel" project was initiated partially due to an arms race between our two nations, a was compromise was offered that called for a cut back of our forces, and in return, Tanthan promptly end the project. Tanthan has also rejected this proposal.

The Republic of Kyanges and its allies has been involved in intense negotiations with the Empire of Tanthan on the "Arc Angel" Project for nearly a month. (RL)
On the issue of returning Plaid zone citizens to their homeland, The R.O.K. and it allies have attempted to find a diplomatic resolution for over two years. (NS)

Due to the apparent rejection of peaceful solutions offered by Kyanges and its allies, the R.O.K. has decided to increase pressure on the Empire of Tanthan, giving it one last chance to act, or face military action.

The Republic of Kyanges has begun assembling a coalition of nations which have some past grievances with the Empire of Tanthan, and enlisted the support of the Committee of Vigilance to accomplish two strategic objectives.
The Primary objective being
-The return of Plaid zone citizens to their homeland
and the second objective being
-The removal of the "Arc Angel" threat

This ultimatum gives the Empire of Tanthan 48 hours (RL) to acknowledge that they will return the people of Plaid zone and end any further development of the "Arc Angel" project; they must also begin to act on their acknowledgments. If Tanthan shows no sign of intentions to meet either demand, military action will be taken.

We would like to state to all, that we only intend to accomplish a few goals, then pull out. Do not let Tanthan lead you to believe otherwise. The Republic of Kyanges is willing to allow any other nation, who feels that they can help peacefully resolve this issue, to contact our government, and make their proposal.

Future Tech because your playing with spaceships and planets and such, cheap maybe because if you did not actually do all those things, and you may be perhaps to small to have all that stuff, it would be unfair, but then again, I do not know what you've been up to, so I'm not one to say.

But those are just suggestions, and what do I know?

But I feel it was well written.

Oh, Aligned Planets was just the name of the nation that was defeated. They aren't really aligned planets. Lol, it sorta confused me a bit at first too.
On another note, what things? If you are refering to our military, I've been trying to cut back to realistic levels. If that wasn't what you were refering to, then umm, what did you mean?
In any case, again, thanks.

The Republic of Kyanges announces that it is interested in joining any alliance that may be able to assist us in this honorable cause.
Any nation that wishes to join our coalition in defending the opressed peoples of Plaid Zone, and liberating them from their forced homes in the Empire of Tanthan, please TG me or post your interest here.

Bump. This is an Open discussion. Please, any opinions, offers, anything?

IC:

Tanthan, even your opinions are welcome here too, as we only wish to return Plaid's people, not have an all out war with you. We have consistently labled force as a last resort. We do NOT wish to see our alliance fall apart in this way.

Announcment:

----Republic of Kyanges International News----

In a show of good will today, the Kyanges government has announced its plans to start a massive cut back on its military spending.

In a statement by the President, "The relations between Kyanges and Tanthan have been deteriorating at an alarming rate. We have stated continually, 'Bring Plaid zone's people HOME!', and we all have high hopes that Tanthan will do the right thing. Even one of Plaid's conquerers, Cherry Ridge, has shown it disapproval of what Tanthan has done with Plaid's people. That's definately saying something. We only wish to show Tanthan that we do not want war. Instead, we only want their government to make the right choice, and accept our aid in helping them [return Plaidzone's people home]."

The Capital remains hopeful that its announcment, will contribute at least a little in relieving the current international tension.

Perhaps this might be a solution for you that would be acceptable to both of your nations.

Tantham you have fairly conquered the peoples of the Plaid Zone. Spoils of war are highly understandable and you have a right to their territory you won afterall. Would you consider returning the peoples of the Plaid Zone to their homeland but remain in charge of their lands and treat it as a semi autonomous state in which you speak for in international matters. Now in return the R.O.K. will agree to provide aid and materials necessary for the region to be rebuilt after the war that was fought there. This possible solution would allow you the victories of your spoils and also appease the other parties involved. Also if the newly restored indigenous population attempts to revolt or causes large scale unrest rthey will be relocated and not allowed to return.

As far as Operation Arc Angel Tantham has the right to build any military projects it wishes. If this is a start of an arms race between you both I must only ask why? You have the same rights R.O.K. to develop such things as Tantham does. If you mended what sounds like an old rift in a strong alliance then you could both jointly develop this Arc Angel. If you can't do that I would be happy to offer both sides some technical aid in building large scale weapon systems. However before youi both shoot off doing this take the time to consider your actions. Tantham has the R.O.K. attacked you? If not not stopping your project at all or scaling it back but putting Arc Angel in operation slower should be just as acceptable. Consider your options neither of you can be right in an arguement, or perhaps you both are. Think before you start an arms race. Contact The Protectorate of Farnholst of you want to purchase some.

Farnholst:

Your proposal is currently being reviewed by the Department of Foreign Affairs here in the Kyanges Capitol and a few Tanthanite diplomats we are currently in contact with. We thank you for your efforts to resolve this peacefully, while Tanthan seems fixated on destroying an invasion he can avoid with a simple, peaceful statement. Further details on our decision will be released once the review is complete
