DNS Newsbroadcast

Hello, I’m Miranda Marcs and your watching DNS international, we bring you a newsflash from the Caribbean where Dumpsterdanian naval forces alongside Right Wing Collective units have started the reinforcement of the Anegada passage between Dumpsterdanian held Netherlands Antilles as far as the Virgin Islands. Since two days ago the Empire has laid claim to the entire passage and is currently enforcing that right by force, DAF spokespersons have confirmed that large minefields will be laid and patrols will ensure that no navel vessels will use the passage.

This action comes alongside the fact that many communist aggressors have used the passage to further reinforce their hold on the Caribbean and South America. All ships and aircraft have been asked to redirect to other straits or sealanes.

There has been a general warning to all traffic to avoid the Anegada passage, any ship or aircraft that is not supposed to be there will either be shot, sunk or impounded by the Empire of Dumpsterdam and there will be no compensations.

That’s it for now, come back after the break when we bring you a live feed of the DRN Vulkov being shot by stoned Chellian gunners!

Dumpsterdanian Royal Navy press statement.

Today a Jamaican freighter was sunk by combined effort of Dumpsterdanian JackRabbit and Guild Harrier ground attack aircraft in the middle of the Anegada pass. It has been determined the ship was carrying grain and over twelve sailors have been taken from the wreckage back to DRN ports and bases. Two sailors and the captain where killed during the air-attack.

And about ten minuts ago a small charter vessle owned by "Fish R'us" was struck by a underwater mine and was afterward harried out of the passage by a DRN destroyer for violating Dumpsterdanian territorial waters. Nobody was injured.

We expect more incidents to occur but have so far no major incidents have occured.

The Risban Imperial First Fleet under Grand Admiral Eric Tarda was currently already in the Caribbean, dealing with a situation in the nation of Casana (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=375800&page=2&pp=15). When the Admiral heard that Right Wing Collective ships were in the area as well doing a mission, he couldn't help but offer some assistance, seeing as how the Empire of Risban had recently joined the RWC and that Emperor Scorpius had ordered him not to release troops into Casana just yet... A transmission was sent to the Dumpsteranian fleet on a closed line.
"This is Admiral Tarda of the Risban Imperial Navy. We are currently in the area dealing with a revolution in Casana. I have orders to hold off from joining the fight in Casana right now and am willing to lend you and the RWC any help if you need it. I'll send you my current fleet numbers.
-Grand Admiral Eric Tarda
-The Empire of Risban"

The fleet stats followed.
Three Type 42 Destroyers: RIS Neptune, RIS Jamenson, RIS Aldra.
One Risban Type-1 Command Cruiser: RIS Preserverance
Two Type 23 Frigates: RIS Morning Star, RIS Baker
Ten Albion Class LPD's
One Type 45 Daring Class Destroyer: RIS Defence
Six Transport Carries.
Transporting approximately 20,000 Imperial Footsoldiers

Will Rosian shipping be affected? Because you do realize, we have over a Division and 51 ships ready to be used to break this blockade. So we ask, will Rosian shipping be affected, or will we have to open it up ourselves?

To the Rosian Minister of Defence.

All shipping will be affected, even ships registered in Dumpsterdam. We will only be allowing our own ships and that of our allies, but all these will be stopped and searched.

We apologise for any incovenience.

Alfarius Damocales,
Imperial Councillor,
Minister of Defence.

To Grand Admiral Eric Tarda

Your help would be highly appreciated, please report to St.Marten Naval base so your crews can be resupplied and briefed on current situations.

Well, Iuthian shipments will not be affected thankfully due to our lack of trade with that part of the world. Though we can't help but frown upon the agressive posturing coming from the TIOR, surely they should know whether or not this affects their trade or not.

We refuse to acknowledge your blockade, it's illegal. And though Hrstrovokia has no business in the Caribbean, Central or South America, I'm pretty sure that other ways can be found to access the region.

The fact of the matter is, this blockade is illegal. Your closing off a popular trade route and thus affecting the economies of surrounding nations. Your excuse is a joke, there's no need to shutdown the Anegada passage. What is your real agenda here?

We wish to let the nation of Hrstrovokia know that we don't give a flying fart about what they think. If its in the passage and it isn't supposed to be there, where gona sink it.

Alfarius Damocales,
Imperial Councillor,
Minister of Defence.

Nikolai Geoff, you seem quite sure about your hostile intentions against the Empire. We assure you that we will stop all vessles for now untill we can negotiate a right of passage for you should you wish.

My intentions are simple. As long as the shipping arrives where it needs to arrive at, I have no problem. Now, if you sink one ship that is Rosian, then I'll have my hostile intentions.

Official Statement from The Proletariat Commonwealth of The Island of Rose:

I request that a peaceful settlement to this blockade occurs. We are willing to offer the nation of Dumpsterdam a monetary settlement of their choosing so this blockade may end. We also offer to negotiate with the nation of Dumpsterdam a settlement that will allow Rosian and possibly Roman ships to pass through the strait. Does the nation accept?

There is a very easy way to settle this, twice a day convoys will be formed near both ends of the passage and these will, after being searched by marine forces allowed to pass the strait under Dumpsterdanian Royal Navy escort.

That is the best we can do in the light of the current situation.

The Research Marine Institute, part of the Belgrade National University, recently commissioned the vessel "Red Worm 2" to conduct scientific research in the Caribbean, therefore we wish to inform you that this Hrstrovokian ship, accompanied by a small naval escort, will be using the Anegada Passage, and that we will sail right through without the least bit of interference. Anything less shall be met with the most severe consequences, and a state of war will be considered to exist between Hrstrovokia and Dumpsterdam.

We wish you rebbies the best of luck with navigating the minefields and ducking for Lance anti ship missles. We have given you an alternative and you are not willing to take it, the consequences are yours to recieve.

We are comfortable with that, since you put these hazards there in the first place, we will hold you directly responsible for any loss of life or damage to Hrstrovokian personnel and ships. In order to decrease tensions however, the research vessel will enter the Anegada Passage alone. You may stop and search the ship if you wish, we have nothing to hide.

Of course that is acceptable, we will send a detachment of naval stormtroopers onboard via Lynx helicopter. Convoy runs are made at twelve o'clock noon and midnight, if you could time the departure of your research vessle with this the delay will be minimal.

Current situation report to DRN Headquarters in Tallarn

23.34 last night Guild Harriers attacked what seemed to be a small group of submarines surfacing in the middle of the passage. At 23.41 it became apparant that the "submarines" where actualy some sort of large sea creatures and the attack was called off. We advise to better train our land-based sonar operators.

14.29 yesterday afternoon Dumpsterdanian interceptors diverted the course of a airliner that was heading to the passage. The pilots where un-aware of the current no-fly zone above the passage, advise to employ more radar stations in diverting aircraft.

13.01 Guild Harriers and the DRN Reranderas responded to a violating of the passage near the Virgin Island, the four speedboats running the passage where not willing to stop and after having a run-in with one of the minefields the DRN Reranderas forced the last remaining boat to stop. It is believed that eleven people have died and another six have been captured.
