Swearing and pointless vulgarity is not welcome on the forums. Sure having a sailor-talking general is ok if you keep it mostly out of the forums, but having him screaming "SHIT!" right before a missile slams into his bridge or command post is not only funny, but would probably be more then realistic. Your post is full of unneeded and pointless words. Swearing is a bad habit and really shows your level of intelligence by repeating such common words over and over again to attempt to make a point.

He really shouldn't be spamming up the boards, but as my country motto say's "It's all gravy..." So let freedom of speach be freedom of speach.

But freedom of speech comes at the cost that it does not harm others, and this may harm smaller younger people.

Sorry I disagree with you. If everyone would not take what others say personally there wouldn't be a problem. This is easy to accomplish, if parents would teaching their children to hold their heads up high, learn to respect themselves and be responsible for their OWN ACTIONS by standing up and being a Man/Women and excepting responsibility of said actions there wouldn't be a problem and a lot of this Countries (USA) and the worlds troubles and problems would go away. There's an old saying "Sticks and Stones may break my bones but WORDS will never hurt me" and it works very well and if everyone would live by this saying a lot of healing could be done!

I'm just surprised that NationStates does not have a censor.

The right to freedom of speech does not include the right to be taken seriously. That is a privelege that must be earned.

Secondly, how are children being harmed by exposure to swear words? I can see how their *parents* might wish that their precious little princesses didnt swear, but all the child is likely to do as a result of seeing this is demonstrate their immaturity.

Finally, free speech exists in real life, in the US of A. This is the nationstates boards, the hosting is paid for by nationstates, and they are under *no* more obligation to display anything you may wish to post here than a newspaper is obligated to print an article you send them.
