Following the detonation of a nuclear device inside of the continental U.S.S., acting-President Dean has announced a state of emergency in all Shalrirorchian states, protectorates, and occupied territories. (thread: http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=375871)
U.S.S. Defense Command has been thrown into disarray by the attack near their headquarters, and by preparations for a massive counterstrike against Antarcticia. General Vladovich, commander of the Shalrirorchian Defense Force, was killed in the nuclear blast. Lt. General Sharana has been promoted and put in charge of coordinating the Shalrirorchian Defense Force. The USS civilian population is in an uproar, with several major urban centers near panic. The populations of Shalcoria and Karthas are rioting. The capital of Shalcoria is being evacuated to prevent fallout injuries from the destruction of one its' suburbs. President Tarumigan Gistarai is missing, and Shalcoria has been cut off from the rest of the world by the EMP pulse generated by the weapon detonation.
U.S.S. garrisons in Arkady and Somala are being depleted to enact martial law over the home continent of Morningstar, leaving Shalrirorchian installations around the world weakened. All inbound air traffic is being rerouted from Morningstar and Arkady.
