Mussian SU-35 fighter-bombers pounded several ZLA terrorist camps in response to two truck bombings that took place in Mussia. Following the bombing of at least five camps Mussian soldiers and T-92 tanks entered the lawless region and took over at least two ZLA held camps. The Mussian government says that at least forty ZLA terrorists have been killed and a small number of civilians have been killed. The ZLA spokesman claims that only three ZLA members have been killed and that over thirty civilians were killed in the Mussian bombings. In regards to Mussian losses, the Mussian government says that one soldier has been killed, while the ZLA claims that ten soldiers have died half of them in what they called "booby trapped ambush". Also in yet another region of the lawless area, one of the top leaders of the ZLA was killed when a 1,000 lbs TV guided bomb hit his car. At this moment skirmishes between ZLA and Mussian forces in the lawless area is still taking place.
In the past the Mussian army had not entered the lawless area in fear that they would become bogged down and lose many soldiers. This is the first time they entering the lawless region since the VX nerve gas attack that took place in the Guferian subway station. In the attack four VX filled cylinders released VX around the subway. Two of the cylinders were placed in separate trains, while the other two cylinders were placed by a waiting area in the subway station. After a 30 minutes the cylinders started spraying out the nerve gas, which ended up killing 323 Mussians and wounding 10,000 more. The attack was on of the worst in Mussian history and operation in retaliation towards it was one of the biggest. By the end of the operation, Operation Pandora's Box over 400 ZLA terrorists or sympathizers had been killed. Mussia had lost 34 people in the fighting but the operation couldn’t continue after the ZLA ran into the mountains. To this day the Mussians have never been able to clear the ZLA out of the mountains, which most believe is where the special weapons of the ZLA are made.
