The ‘Guardian’ Class Battle Station

History
The Guardian class Battle Stations were originally designed to provide high-level orbital artillery platforms for use against planet-side and space-borne targets. With the cost and size of the facilities spiralling, additional capabilities had to be included into the platforms in order to justify the expenditure.
The result was this monster.
Statistics:
Basic Dimensions
Height (Extreme): 8,300 metres
Width (Extreme): 10,500 metres
Mass: 35,000,000 Tonnes
Weaponry
(1) ‘Big Jockoff’ Ultra-Heavy Coilgun
This awe-inspiring weapon dominates the station. Larger than many warships in itself, this weapon is designed to overcome the technological superiority of other nations by sheer brute force in the smallest possible area. Capable of accelerating encased Boron-Nitride slugs at 0.25C for a distance of several light seconds, these incredibly powerful guns possess little problem in reducing 10 mile cap-ships into little more than inverted cones.
(16) MkV Heavy Coilgun Quad Turrets
Lighter versions of the principle gun, these fast firing batteries launch continuous stream of projectiles against lighter targets such as escort warships and dropships. These batteries also provide the main ortillery weapons for the platforms.
(896) Light 50mm Railgun CIWS
Point defence system designed to engage incoming missiles, fighters and boarding craft. Capable of very high rates of fire and all angles of approach to the station are covered by numerous weapons arcs. Simple but effective technology.
(800) MkII 16-Cell MR Missile Launching System
Versatile missile launching systems designed to launch a variety of different weapons for all modes of warfare. Designed for maximum flexibility and survivability, the entire launching gear can be jettisoned if the station is at risk.
Defences
Lacking Shielding technology, these Freethinker constructs rely upon high levels of armour protection and other survival features to remain battle worthy.
The armour schemes consist of 2 metres thick plates over a reinforced titanium alloy frame. Built within the armour are multiple sensor nets and cooling systems designed to provide damage reports as well as take away some of the damage caused by energy weapons. Within the station, multiple bulkheads and an internal framework provide some defence against structural integrity failure.
Powerplants and Propulsion
The station is powered by a TIS-designed Heavy Fusion reactor with antimatter injectors. Reserve solar arrays are also employed.
Fusion- based thrusters have bee included in the design, mostly to allow the station to turn to aim the ‘Big Jockoff’ in the direction of enemies and ground targets. Limited movement within the orbital plane is also possible.
Onboard Facilities
Designed to be able to support full fleet manoeuvres, the station has no less than four fully equipped docks for large-scale maintenance and repair of vessels up to two kilometres in length. 12 further docking ports are located around the station, and with rotation a single station can keep supply and maintain a fleet of up to twenty four vessels whilst on-station.
The station carries up to 192 fighters in four specially designed bays. Up to seventy light craft can be stored in each of the four dockyard landing bays as well.
The station has a standard crew of 22,000 personnel, along with 4800 Marines (in Freethinker service); although the station could theoretically hold four times this number in an emergency.

OOC: Okay, bit short but a little pressed for time. Comments and constructive criticism welcome :D. Just remember to be CIVIL.
