Station Commander Mike Dullaghen was in a panic. The entire station was. Eugoria's longtime enemy the Chi had finally done it. They had attacked Eugoria, and the orbital defense station Nypto was their target. They had snuck in without a trace. The targetting sensors weren't tuned to accept the ten by ten shuttles of the agressive Chi. and now all hell was loose. There were 14,000 men aboard the Nypto, and there were nearly 25,000 confirmed Chi onboard as well. Dullaghen moved quickly to his holo-projector on the bridge and opened a line to ESDF HQ on Eugoria IV, his homeworld.
"Admiral," the Commander gasped, "these bastards are everywhere! The marine compliment has been entirely enihilated, and the MAC guns can't target their transports. We're not gonna make it sir!"
"Easy Commander, take a deep breath. These men are depending on you. Initiate Code 17-Q and find cover. DO NOT let them take the station without a fight to the death." said ESDF Grand Admiral Zukeys in a firm, reassuring voice.
"Aye sir, they won't."
"Good. Dismissed. And Commander?"
"Sir?"
"Good luck."
With that, the tranmission was cut and Dullaghen gave the order to initiate the code. After it was given, speakers over the entire station began to blare out the instructions, and men set to work arming the explosives. While they did, all of the remaining shuttle-craft on the Nypto were prepped for the massive E-Vac that would soon take place.
