It's just that I'm preparing a thread and I seem to have become confused about what goes in here and what goes in the "NationStates" forum just above this one on the forum list.

Ahh, don't look at yourself that way. I used to be confused too.
Alright, the International Incidents (II) forum is basically the place where most things happen. In II, declarations and wars are conducted, storefronts are located, spy missions and political events occur. This is where the majority of RPers are and it's mostly modern tech.
The Nationstates Forum (NS) has changed over the last year. The NS forum used to be more information based (i.e. Factbooks, lists, ect.) RP wise, it used to be mostly diplomatic and RP treaties. However, there has been a major shift, in which the NS forum, RP wise, is dominated by space-tech and magic-tech RPs. Generally, the RPs in the NS forum are written better and are a lot longer, but tend to be extremely exclusive and closed to a few individuals.
