First of all The HK GMG is based off the Mk19 GL (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/mk19.htm) and I was already fammilar with both desgins.
second MINE is handheld not crew served.
third 90% of items on NS are based on RL weapons.

Lets be fair, Phoenix's one is hand-held, not on a tripod. And anyway, belt-fed grenade launchers have been used since vietnam, this HK GMG is not a first.
