General information
Overview: Red Star Industries was commissioned by the government of Ottoman Khaif to design a battle-cruiser for that nation in early 2004. The ship was to have 16in guns, Tomahawk cruise missiles, a powerful SAM array, and the ability to make speeds in excess of 37 knots based upon nuclear propulsion. With these parameters in mind, RSI's design teams were set loose on the project, and soon began to turn out designs at a rate of knots for evaluation by Admiralty experts and Ottoman Khaif representatives. The Project 245 design was eventually selected as being the most appropriate, and construction begun.
