Invasion of South Korea

Premier Lee Yong-kim of Communist Koreastan walked into the Defense Council room. He was young, looking fourty, and yet already had ousted counter-revolutionary former P'yonyang regime, and placed himself as head of the Korean Worker's Party. Now, he wanted more.
"Premier Lee," said a twenty-looking aide in a military uniform, "All forces are in place for the Great Offensive."
"Good. Does Seoul have any idea?"
"No, sir."
"Good. You have done well, Lieutenant Kim."
"Thank you, Mighty Leader."
"Tell the 620th Artillery Corps to commence the bombardment of Seoul. Now."
Lieutenant Kim grew ecstatic. "Along the whole front?"
"Yes, Lietenant. Go. Order them."
"I will go at once." He rushed off to the communications room, bearing news of the order. Premier Lee continued to the Situation room. A dozen Generals and Admirals surrounded the large, mahogany table. They quickly got up from their seats, and saluted as Lee took his seat at the head of the table.
"You may be seated, gentlemen," he said.
The commanders sat down. Premier Lee, with a commanding voice, spoke, "General Suh, you work intelligence operations. What are the recent American and puppet movements along the DMZ?"
"About 21 divisions, two of them mechanized, are along the border in the First and Third Armies, Mighty Leader."
"Unchanged?"
"Right."
"Good. Now, we've placed all the big guns of the 620th Artillery Corps on the route to Seoul. I want them to blast the entire corridor clear of enemy troops. II Corps and IV Corps, with support from the 820th Armor Corps, will move in to surround Seoul. Meanwhile, we will helicopter in Special Operations forces to distract most of the ROK army. Nearly thirty infantry divisions will take part in the Seoul offensive. We must bring them quickly to their knees, before reinforcements can arrive."
"In the event that reinforcements do arrive, sir, what should we do?"
"We will dig in, and prepare for a long winter. This operation must end quickly."
"All right."
"Good. I hereby order the commencement of the Great Reunification."
The Generals started cheering. Within minutes, dozens of old, Soviet model helicopters flew in low over ROK lines. Half were lost quickly to ground fire, but a few managed to land over 1,000 Special operations troops around Seoul. They secured bridges and a road. As this happened, nearly 8,000 artillery pieces boomed along the DMZ. 2,000 tanks, mostly T-55s, roared to life, and started charging at ROK units. Nearly 700,000 infantrymen began to cross the border that had separated North and South. The hours of the divided penninsula were numbered.

Bloody hell. Not another n00b invasion. Listen Commie Koreastan, get a twin from the thread in my sig, before you go and invade the world. Theres a good n00b.
This Jamica reborn may be seizing more, as you say. But Communism is a dangerous government, which must be stopped from expanding. An iron curtain extends over the land, the more a Communist expands. Aubain has been torn apart because of communism, which is why we condemn such an action.
But the Aubainian national government sees where you are coming from, Communist Louisiana. So we will with draw our deal with the South Koreans, and let this invasion go forth. Be held however; if Koreastad intends to expand past this, I shall try my best to intervene.

ooc: sorry about the numbers
ic: Premier Lee looked at the battle reports. Condemnations were nothing new, and aid to the South was no big deal, so long as no foreign expdition landed in the Korean puppet state.
Indeed, it was going quite well. While nearly 50,000 men had been lost in the first wave, the assault continued, routing bewhildered ROK troops. The DPRK's day of glory was arriving.
And so the T-55s and T-62s approached Seoul. The dawn was just rising, but already troops were busy surrounding the city. ROK forces were surrounded. Finally, a great artillery barrage commenced. All the tubes that had been trained on armies now bore down on the great city. For over an hour they fired every shell and rocket they could, joined in by bombers and missiles. As tanks and troops entered, they found a lifeless wasteland of rubble. ROK snipers were everywhere; the city would take a while to secure. Reserve and pacification divisions were sent up as normal divisions continued the march down the penninsula. The dream of a united Communist Korea was in plain sight, and Premier Lee knew it.

P'yongyang
News of the fall of Seoul generated celebrations in the streets. Twenty-four hours in their objective was alread accomplished; the People's Army now stood at the banks of the Han river, poised like a tiger to strike down its prey.
But news of possible foreign intervention was disturbing. If it happened, as with the Old War, the great People's army would be forced back.
A young, female voice with a heavy Korean accent began broadcasting on the radio in English (or whatever language you all speak):
"How are you doing, Africans, Boa Vistans, and Dumpsterdamians? I believe your government has not informed you well enough on the course of the war. You see, the people of Korea yearn to be unified as a socialist country. They see us as liberators from the oppressive puppet regime in the south. You will only be seen as foreigners. Foreigners are not well liked by Koreans. I beg you, turn back. Nothing is more stupid to be sent into a war to die. But, to alieve your suffering, I will now play a popular radio song. Try to enjoy yourselves before your ships are found by the Korean People's Navy and sunk." The song "War" started playing. DPRK soldiers, tuning in, stated laughing at the broadcast if they could understand it.
Meanwhile, units of the DPRK IV Corps moved in south of Seoul. They were met with a full, head on attack by the Third ROK army, and suffered the loss of nearly 10,000 men. As this happened, miles to the south, the KPA 820th Armored Corps, with numerous third enchelon motorized units, crossed the Han river with nearly 100,000 men, enveloping the Third ROK Army in a pocket around Osan. Reinforcements were brought in as DPRK forces held of the ROK 1st Army on the eastern side of the penninsula. The ROK 3rd Army was asked to surrender as its noose tightened.

Aboard the DRN Seven Provinces.
Admiral Quarren gleefully listened to the messages sent by the enemy to deter or even lower their moral. Most men where fully aware of the propaganda and Quarren had ordered that Commandeur Raditz should get on the radio and start broadcasting the latest news from all around the world to the enemy.
In Korean she started out, being fluid in more then twenty languages and a former south Korean national.
Hello Koreastan soldiers, today we bring you news from the rest of the world where the glorious soldiers from the Dumpsterdanian Empire are countering and crushing the foul threat of communism every day.
Yesterday landings where made in Uruguay by the 54th marine division to counter and destroy the pathetic attempt of the communist Brazilian government to take over the country by force. The Brazilians are forcing children and women with guns into service against the Makaar and Dumpsterdanian marines who are currently advancing and possibly even countering into Brazil.
In other news, twenty four communist rebels where executed today by members of the Dumpsterdanian Secret Service by means of strangling them in their own entrails and then hanging them from gallows. All twenty four had taken part in the Timit hostage situation but where caught when the police used a special virus to immobilise them. Many where reported to have begged for mercy from the executors but to no avail.
And in the coming weeks it is not advised to travel to the Caribbean as Dumpsterdanian forces are currently engaging communist forces from Jamaica and pushing them back to their staging area's. Military planners expect the war to last for a few more days before the glorious 6th army defeats the Jamaicans.
As you see, it is quite futile to fight against the well trained soldiers of the Dumpsterdanian Empire but we will be merciful upon anyone who surrenders or turns tail and flees from battle. Remember that most of you are more afraid of your officers then the enemy so I'll play a song to calm those nerves of yours, listen to Mon Homme and drift away...
Angelica Raditz, DRN Seven Provinces, signing out and see you tomorow.
Meanwhile the fleet was arriving near Ulchin and off-loading the first elements to prepare for its blitz tactics into enemy territory, most of the reinforcements would be here within a week.

Meanwhile, primative DPRK walkie-talkies fail to pick up the Dumpsterdamian broadcast, and the soldiers continue with their mission: eliminating the ROK Army. The streets of Tokyo swelled with onlookerss waving Japanese flags of all sizes as Prime Minister Sachiko went up to the podium to adress the masses below him and across the world on the Korean crisis. He was tall, especially amongst his people, with a lanky build. He carried no speech in his hand, he was well known for his speaking style from his heart.
For years his right wing government had been using the impressive armies of North Korea and China as an excuse to work his way out of the treaties at the end of the second world war. He swelled with pride, today he was not just vindicated amongst his people, but amongst the whole globe, for returning Japan to its once great majesty. The clamor of the crowd died almost instantly as he took a breath to begin.
"Again, as in the past, the menace of Communism has threatened the sanctity of our empire and others. We have no choice but to do what we can to stabilize the region. I call not only on our brave soldiers, but on all of our people to aid our nation in this time of trial." He shouted into the microphone, his voice was magnified by speakers all throughout the streets of Tokyo, and heard on nearly every radio and television in the nation. He was in a fury though and it seemed like everyone would have heard him fine without any equipment.
"Our navy and airforce is moving as we speak on the coast of Korea to prevent any attacks on our sovereignty. To all forces engaged in the conflict, head these words. Any and all troops and craft approaching us will be assumed hostile and annihilated."
"Further, to ensure the safety of its inhabitants, and the security of all of the region, our army has occupied the Island Providence of Jeju. Only the infinite might of our armies can protect this region from North Korean aggresion, cooporation with the South Korean government or Armed Forces is not needed or wanted, leave immediately, as you are needed on the northern front, if you do not, you shall be treated as any other enemy of our people, of our nation, of the emperor!"
He ended his speech with a roman salute, the crowds returned it back a thousand fold with chants of Banzai! Banzai! Banzai! roaring like water rushing through a broken damn, waters held back for more then 50 years.

To All Involved
We know of the hostilities occuring within the Korean Penninsula, of Communist Koreastan's moving south against capitalist South Korea. We know that these actions can be seen as expansionist/imperialistic. Also known though is that Korea has been a region where tensions has made itself known before yet the people still crave to be united once more.
With that stated we propose that all outside forces, both for and against the CK, pull out and let this remain a regional conflict betweem the two. As known, no nation currently opposing the aggressive moves hold South Korea. Also known and stated is that if it were not for the title of 'communist' many would most likely not lift a finger, a prime and one of the newest examples of this being the nation of Jamaica Reborn.
With that said, we once more ask that all nations involved other than North and South Korea withdrawl from this raising and rallying of arms. If not withdrawl, we atleast ask then for a cease of action, enacting talks between all nations.
---
Also, all nations in support of South Korea take heed: if any action is taken against holdings of Communist Louisiana, Neo-Soviet Russia will have no choice but to take part in a conflict with it's ally.
--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
(OOC: Overall, CK, I think for a new nation you're not doing too bad. I would suggest slowing the actions down though and injecting a bit more details. Go into depth why you want to unite the penninsula, go into detail about the combat, about South Korea's reaction. Though you're taking losses much more could be put into this.)

I am staying out of the war, I am not backing either side, I am maintaining the safety of Japan. The Relocated Capital of Pusan, South Korea
Hae Roh glanced over the maps before giving a deep sigh. How could this have not been seen? How the hell could intelligence fail so badly? How the hell could ROK forces have been pushed back and beaten so horribly? The man needed a drink, a cigarette, something to calm his nerves after the miracle of a campaign the North Koreans were having. Already had they brushed past Seoul and to the Han. Already had they also held up the First and Third Armies.
"Status on our forces"
One of a handful of military advisors with the President inside a hardened underground facility in Pusan, this a General by the name of Han, raised his head from the map. "Second's still gathering wholely while forces of the Forth and Fifth, though not totally together, are establishing defensive positions between Kongju-Taejon and Hwangsan-Andong. Second's been ordered to move up between Sangju and Kaeryong when they get the chance."
"What about the reservists? What are they doing?"
"They too're forming up, though they're behind the defensive line a bit."
"Let them know that they may be seeing action sooner than they thought in their lifetimes. Also enforce the thought that this is not a game, not a checkup but a fullfledged war and their home, their families are at stake."
Glancing back to the map, his mouth parted once more.
"The Air Corps?"
"We're down some due to the quick advance, what we do have though's working against the lines.
These words came from a Mr. Chan who was dressed in a simple yet dignified uniform, though his hair was a mess but he doubted that would matter now to the president.

Taejon Airforce Base, South Korea
Kim Ku sat in the cockpit of an American made F-4 Phantom. A heavy two-engined fighter bomber which first saw the light of gunfire over another section of the Asian continent, though old it was still used to great abundance, and with great skill. And today it would be used again with great skill. Those along with F-16s and AH-01F and J Cobra attack helicopters. The pilot gave a breath then closed his eyes to relax. He would have a few moments atleast, seeing as crews still had to fuel the pup up and attach a few more missiles. A few moments though...
---
Over the skies of Osan
A squadron of fully armed Phantoms followed by a set of Falcons were going low over the trees. Engines roared though it didn't matter. Shouts and yells of men on the ground confirmed where they were headed. Osan. To the Third Army. Hell only knew what they were going against.
"Red One to all flights...five miles out. Tighten up and prepare to let loose. Our boys need it, as does our nation."
Reports from the flight leaders came back. Red One's pilot, a halfbreed Asian-Caucasian by the name of Nikolas Han Morris gave a breath before making sure the mask was over his face. Eyes then glanced to the readouts. Fingers wrapped around the flight stick. A pat from the hand of the WO behind him gave him a bit of reassurance. Then again the WO was key to dropping the eighteen general purpose bombs.
"Ready?"
"Roger roger."
"Good.
A flip of the switch.
"Good luck, ladies."
The triple decade old design rose up as it was given more throttle. The pilot could see the gunfire between North and South forces as he tilted the stick back raising the aircraft before putting it in a shallow drive. Below trees passed by as did armor and men. Slight clicks could be heard as the WO did his job and locks gave way. Bombs fell in batches of three over enemy forces. Batches from twelve seperate aircraft. Falcons too screeched over the enemy positions in pairs of two. Each dropped six 200lb Mk82-styled weapons as the pilots also let loose 20mm autocannon rounds.
As quick as aircraft came and dropped their loads they scrambled and raises into the air to help dodge any AA and SAMs launched.
Within minutes another three squadrons of -4s combined with a squadron of -16s would arrive to do the same. Pilots would catch the burning wreckage of one Phantom who happened to lose all luck
---
On the ground
Forces were pulling back, not out of fright, but in order to better defend themselves. Tanks and men went in referse as they fired off. The battle would go into the city.
--- --- ---
(OOC: Note I've still to get numbers on the exact sizes of these forces, and what I'm thinking the sizes of the First and Third are after being pinned down. Also sorry for the quality not being the greatest at the moment, I'm a little rusty you could say. Also, CK, give me a bit more detail when it comes to what you consider the battle between First army and against Third army and make it believeable. You've someone to go against you now. I need something to work with and you're not too descriptive so..kinda in the dark.)

OCC: *Yawn* Another 2nd Korean War with the North trying to forcefully unite the South.. Oh, what the hell..
Official Response of the Dreisden State Government:
The acts of unprovoked aggression as displayed by the North Korean government has been met with horror and anger through the administration of this state. The North appeases to the world that it seeks to unite the Peninsula. It is a noble cause. However, no unification of any country can be justified through the bloodshed that the North has displayed.
The South seeks to keep its sovereignty and refuse acceptance of integration with the North under the guidance of Communism or its Socialist equivalent. The government of Dreisden hereby lends its support to the government of South Korea and its peoples. We will send what is necessary to defend the ROK from the active aggressions of its Northern neighbor. Our military forces have been put on high alert and will be mobilized. We will send aid in all forms to ensure that the borders of the South remain sovereign to the ROK and that the waves of Northern aggression be turned back.

Well comrade, in that case, we will happily let you keep the island. We will just continue to move forces onto Tsushima since Cheju is apart of South Korea. As already stated the conflict is going to happen in Korea and Korea only. I know damn well your gonna try to hold the island of Cheju even if the war ended. You will leave the island or I will be fire bombing 1 major city every hour in Japan.
Cheju is not a part of Korea though, it is completely seperate from it. You claim that we were all being to harsh on north Korea for only wanting south korea, but the same does not apply to us for taking one province? Did you even ask south Korea's opinion on this?

At Western Base 100 SU-27's began taking off in rapid succesion. They were armed with 2 Sunburn missiles and 2 drop tanks on the inboard pylons. R-37 ALRAAMS were fitted to the outboard pylons. They kicked in to their cruising speed of Mach 1.8 to get to the destination: The Fleet of Communist Louisiana.
Following them, far above and hidden to an extent from the prying enemy eyes another 50 MIG-31's followed the SU-27's. They were each armed with six of the R-37 missiles. Their goal was to obliterate any unit which posed a threat to CL or Ratheia.

The Emperor has also let it be known that he sees no benefit in letting the north occupy the south as the current system was working perfectly and therefor DAF forces will resists.

A message is sent to New Swissland:
Comrade Lee informs us that we are not in any need of foreign troops at this time. While food and supplies are welcome, we pride ourselves that only Korean troops will be on the ground, thereby recieving a more favorable position among the populace of Korea.
ooc: I can't accept that. It's godmoddery.
Oh, and sorry about the numbers. I was sorta using RL units. Couple of days and it'll be more acceptable.
ic: "Premier Lee, we have encountered fierce ROK resistance, especially airborne, around Osan."
"That is no surprise. F-4s?"
"Yes."
"Good. Those MiG 21s we bought from the Russians will help out nicely."
"Should we send them in?"
"Not all of them. Just four, to give them a little headache. Send them low and have them hide behind mountains so radar doesn't spot them."
"All right."
Over the Osan pocket
Four MiG 21s took off from a remote airbase in the North, and flew down. Captain Suh Eun-kyong commanded the small force. Radio silence was an order.
Captain Suh looked out, and saw the F-4s flying high above. He gave a hand gesture, showing his flight up. At once, all four climbed up, and fired off AA-2 missiles at the ROK fighters. Suh and his flight pulled a collective Immelman manuever, and tried to get onto the tails of their enemies. When they were within range, they fired their cannons.
All across the front
The same female voice which had broacast to the foreign troops now started speaking Korean. It said, "Troops of the ROK, your government has lied to you. Your fascist, capitalist regime claims you are fighting for freedom, but you are only fighting to preserve a corrupt system where a few rich people dominate the vast majority. Your futile efforts are only prolonging the inevitable triumph of the DPRK over the puppets of the South. Why fight for a system that is only poisoning the Korean nation? Join us. We will not shoot you if you place your arms above your head. We will not take you to a POW camp. We will give you a rifle and allow you to join the glorious struggle against the Southern oligarchy. The sooner you join us, the sooner we will liberate our homeland, and the sooner you can go back to your families with glorious tales about your triumph. If you do not, you will only die or languish defeated in a POW camp."

The 7th, 8th, and 9th Red Wolf Packs begin to slowly travel through the Chetvertyy Kuril’skiy Proliv Channel, which is right under the island of Paramushir in the chain of Islands known as the Kuril Islands. They continue in a westward direction until they are directly in the center of the channel. The CLS Autin (a Shotgun Class Cruise Missile Submarine) is the first to break radio silence.
We are where the orders said to report. We must begin the operations here comrades. The lives of the brave marines are at risk if we do not follow through.
The waters seemed very peaceful at this time. The splashing of water soon changed that situation and the sound of small rocket engines filled the air. In less than 5 minutes some 35 cruise missiles were in the air heading towards the island of Paramushir. They began to slam into multiple targets throughout the small island. Minutes later the same sounds filled the air again as another 35 cruise missiles were launched again at the exact same targets within Paramushir. The sounds of explosions filled the air and they were soon drowned out by the sounds of more than a hundred aircraft filled the air. The first wave of 40 F-117A Nighthawk's were soon over the island blowing up roads and bridges as well as other key targets. The 40 F-117A Nighthawk's swooped down then as quickly as they arrived, they were gone.
F-117A Nighthawk's plane #7- It looks like the cruise missiles have done a number on the island. Were ready for the eagles, repeat ready for the eagles.
The second wave of 40 F-117A Nighthawk's escorted 75 C-141 Starlifter’s. As soon as the cargo planes were directly over the beaches of the island, the hatches opened and a flood of CL Red Marine Paratroopers began to exit the massive aircraft. The sky was soon filled with some 12,600 of these Marines.
