A Calling to all UN Delegates

Hello,

I would like to ask you for a moment to look inside yourselves, and ask a few questions. Do I want a world where I don't have to worry about the threat of war and conflict? Do I want a world where I don't have to worry about the future of our environment? Do I want a world where I don't have to worry about the elderly, mothers and their children and our personal safety?
Please pledge your support to my 'War and Peace Acts', currently under proposal at the UN. The overall act it split into resolutions, and you may approve of whichever ones you agree with:

Resolution 1: The Army
Resolution 2: Nuclear Weapons
Resolution 3: Gun Ownership
Resolution 4: The Death Penalty
Resolution 5: The Environment
Resolution 6: The Elderly
Resolution 7: The Prison System
Resolution 8: Mother and Child (currently called ‘Abortion’, but the overall topic is infact bigger)
Resolution 9: Healthcare
Resolution 10: Homosexual Marriage

So, if you what that stable world that we all so long for, then please vote for the War and Peace Act.

Stansfeldland

The Federation of Aligned Planets does not care what you want - or whether you have to worry about these minor details. We are not a member of the United Nations; yet we feel that your ideas are possibly one of the biggest security threats faced by the Free World in the past decade.

You offer NO clarification as to what each Individual Act will state, nor to what your overall intended purpose is apart from one or two vague statements. Also - how will these Acts bring about a stable world when not all countries will abide by them?

And all of the points you raise are already covered by existing United Nations resolutions.

If any Nation pledges support to you, without first knowing what you intend to do, then they must be severely lacking in the synapse centre. How do we know that you will not get us to ratify your "ideas" and then change what you actually got us to ratify? We would be none the wiser.

You, sir, remind me rather strongly - and disturbingly - of the Republic of Gilead.

The Federation of Aligned Planets officially condemn these Resolutions, on the grounds that they are purposefully unclear and misleading, with the aim of forcing the United Nations to ratify an Act that is most likely detrimental to World Security.

OOC: Doesn't this belong in the UN section?

The Federation of Aligned Planets brings up many good points.
The Empire of Risban concurs with the honorable Federation of Aligned Planets on all accounts. As an active member of the United Nations, the Empire of Risban condemns this 'War and Peace Act' and refuses to support it at all.
