CHANNEL 19 NEWS:

"Swoonie Woo, 'Di Dude' of Jamaica, announced today in an International Press Conference his plans for a Jamaican Empire that would stretch across the Caribbean and into parts of Africa, here are a few excerpts from the conference:

"We here in Jamaica have been doing so well in the past few years, that we want to share our wealth with our brothers and sisters in Africa, and our neighbors to the east and west."

"Our government is already in talks with Nigeria concerning annexation, and Haiti as well. We can bring these two countries up to modern levels of technology and indefinitely solve their respective problems with hunger and AIDS."

"We want to bring more blacks under the banner of Jamaica, for the betterment of our people worldwide. We also want to solve the racial tensions within South Africa and Zimbabwe by giving blacks there a haven to escape white oppression."

"We hold no ill will towards whites, we have many whites here in Jamaica whom we consider brothers and sisters."

"This not a movement of isolation, or a movement of segregation, it's a movement of elevation for the black race."

The camera switches back to the Channel 19 Anchorman:

"Wow, nice little rhyme there Swoonie.", he chuckles at his own joke, "In other news Muslim uprisings in the Arab district of Kingston have come to a standstill as Vastivan politicians intervene....

BREAKING NEWS Channel 19:

"Just three days after Haiti came under the banner of the Jamaican Empire, Nigeria has decided to do the same. Humanitarian aid and reconstruction crews will be expected to arrive there as well within the next few weeks, as Jamaica has commited itself to restoring both Haiti and Nigeria to a Jamaican status. Both of these nations respective militaries can be expected to be revamped as well, with 100,000 military personnel already assigned to Nigeria, and another 25,000 to Haiti. From the reports we've been getting it would appear as though Jamaican aid is being well recieved in Haiti, and that native Haitians already consider themselves to be Jamaicans, which under law, they now are. We can expect the same kind of response in Nigeria, as the majority of the populace their had agreed to join the Jamaican Empire. We'll have more news when it comes"

"I assure you there are no human rights violations being commited within the annexation process. Each nation is contacted beforehand and given the opportunity to accept or decline becoming apart of the Jamaican Empire, these two nations have accepted, and we are carrying out the rebuilding of their infrastructures. "We're interrupting your regulary scheduled programming of 'Fat Albert', to bring you the first video footage of our humanitarian aid workers and military personnel arriving in Haiti. Take a look."

The camera flicks to a Jamaican aid worker giving a Haitian child an immunzation shot. The aid worker injects the shot and then gives the child a piece of candy. The camera flicks again to a truckload of food and medical supplies being unloaded and distributed to a large group of poverty stricken Haitians by Jamaican aid workers. The camera flicks yet again to a large group of Haitian citizens singing/chanting in creole around the camera and Haitian women giving aid workers pecks on the cheeks. One final shot shows an aid worker holding a Haitian toddler and waving his small hand at the cameraman. The camera then goes back to the anchorman.

"We'll have more news when it comes, now back to 'Fat Albert'."

"We interrupt your regular scheduled programming of 'The Chapelle Show', to bring you some breaking news. While dramatic reforms occur in Haiti, including the rebuilding of major residential areas, schools and roads, we've just recieved our first video footage of Humanitarian Aid Workers and Jamaican military personnel arriving in Nigeria. Take a look."

The camera flicks to a Jamaican soldier shaking hands with his Nigerian counterpart and smiling, while having a limited conversation through broken english. The camera then flicks to humantiarian aid workers unloading crates of food and medical supplies in the poorest areas of the Texas size nation. The camera flicks again to a Jamaican flag being hoisted above the capital building of Nigeria, while the original flag waves below it. The camera flicks one last time to Jamaican soldiers taking a break and playing soccer with Nigerian teens in a grassy field.

The camera goes back to the Jamaican Anchorman.

"We're told that we can expect much of the same rebuilding that's going on in Haiti to begin within a few months in Nigeria. Now back to 'The Chapelle Show'."

Channel 19 News:

Rapid progress has been made in Haiti since four months ago when it was first brought under the wings of the Jamaican Empire. The rebuilding of roads, schools and residential areas has opened up a wide range of jobs for the Haitian working class and the economy which was previously in a slump is now starting to trudge forward as Jamaican owned businesses make their way into the country. The Haitian military, now a new branch of the Jamaican military, is also being revamped and re-armed by the military personnel stationed there.

New developments in Nigeria include the electing of a Jamaican governor, and the revamping of the educational system. Potois is now declared as the second major language in both Haiti and Nigeria.

Channel 19 News:

"Celebrations are rocking the capitals of Haiti and Nigeria in accordance with their one year anniversaries of becoming apart of the Jamaican Empire. Reconstruction and Humanitarian efforts have apparently paid off as the two annexed nations have been booming with economic activity in the past 6 months, which both benefits them and the Jamaican mainland at the same time. The numbers of AIDS cases in both nations have dramatically gone down with the help of Jamaican treatment, and awareness programs. Patriotism among the Nigerian and Haitian population is also on the rise, as the military recently stated that 3,560,000 men from the two nations combined have enlisted into the Jamaican Empire's military since annexation. This boosts the current number of the Jamaican military from, 840,000 to 4,400,000, the majority of which have been placed into infantry divisions and the remaining split off into other branches of the military. But not to get off topic, take a look at the celebrations going on in both Nigeria and Haiti."

The camera flicks to Nigerian soldiers proudly marching instep down a street of cheering civilians, as tanks follow closely behind them, roses petals are thrown at the soldiers as they make their way through the crowd. The camera flicks again and you see much of the same going on in Haiti, a Jamaican trained Haitian military convoy splits through a sea of people who hold up Jamaican flags and pictures of the 'Di Dude' Swoonie Woo. The camera flicks and you see fireworks blasting high above the city of Port Au Prince. The camera flicks one more time and you see the new dazzling skyline of Port Au Prince, a years worth of work as created a sprawling metropolis out of the once devasted city.

The camera goes back to the Anchor man:

"Wow, things sure look like their going good over there. In other news, a vicious dog attack leaves a man without a penis...."

The Imperial Empire of Belem finds it amazing how Jamaica can assume that the people within the Imperial Colonial Districts of South Africa and Rhodesia(original name given by the dutch for Zimbabwe) to being opressed. The natives of the area are given all the benefits of being a civilian within the Imperial Empire as long as they follow certain Belem decrees and the others are given all the privelleges associated with being a foriegner.

It has long been proven that the indigenous peoples of these regions are incapable of governing themselves and need Belem oversight. We also cite the rapid decline in HIV/AIDs within the country through our more then effective measures(ooc: Belem measures were basically sending Inquisitors into villages testing everyone and anyone with HIV or AIDs was executed upon the results of the tests. so the population is also about 10 million lower then current RL pops.)

"We know of your barbaric actions in Zimbabwe, and of your mistreatment of indgenious tribes in South Africa. Your crimes against humanity have not gone unnoticed and will not go without action. The land that you possess in Africa belongs within the hands of a native African, not the blood stained hands of a greedy imperialist. But be assured, all wrongs are righted within time."

There have been been no Human Rights abuses within Belem held territories. Nor would there be and our claims to the said lands are perfectly legal and binding having generously compensated the previous governments to install a Belem colonial presence within the said nations.

Diplomatic Note to Jamaica

Vastiva will take no action against Jamaicas attempts provided Jamaica keeps its attentions averted from our holdings in South Africa and Madagascar.

OOC: Not that this really matters, the multiplanar reality of the NS world means you can claim anything zillions of times and then some, but it sounded like a good IC tag, if you take my meaning.

The Imperial Roycelandian Government trusts that the expansion into these territories was carried out in a fair and democratic manner, with those who did not wish to be part of the Jamaican Empire compensated accordingly and given permission to relocate.

Roycelandia maintains a large Colonial presence in Africa (Kenya, Uganda, and The Sudan make up Roycelandian East Africa), and will not tolerate interference in this by any other Nation.

Having said that, we'd like to propose an Embassy Exchange with Jamaica...
