As Holy Paradise prepares for its people to vote for who shall be president in RL December 2004, the candidates will have an international debate. Here are the two main canididates:

President John Holtz: The current president of Holy Paradise. Famous for giving its colony, Holy Paradise Islands, its independence, protecting Holy Paradise's morals, winning about 6 wars, and making the economy one of the best in the world. Is favored by 76% of the population. He is famous for reuniting the country in the HP Civil War, too.
For: The death penalty
Against: Gay Marriages, Abortion, Mercy-Killing, Pornography
Religion: Roman Catholic
Party: Conservative/Republican

Sen. Jerry Makalson: One of the most popular senators in Holy Paradise history. Plans to amend the Holy Paradise Constitution to allow Gay Marriages,
Abortion, and Pornography. Plans to ban the death penalty and Mercy-killing.
Wishes to focus more on civil rights and the enviroment. He is favored by 24% of the population. He also wishes to keep Holy Paradise out of wars its allies are involved with except for Roach-Busters' wars. Wishes to provide free healthcare and education for the nation.
For: Gay marriages, abortion, pornography
Against: The death penalty, mercy-killing
Religion: Lutheran
Party: Liberal/Democratic

Yusuf Zayid from Al Jazeera in Ismira took a seat "This is a question for both candidates, what will you do to help Holy Paradise's Muslim population?"

Kyresal Vladmach Stood up from the crowd.

" How will you help diplomatic relations with Communist Nations such As Kyleralia?"

"I have a plan to build about 10 mosques in each major city in the country. Also any one who attacks a Muslim verbally or physically shall be arrested and put in jail for 10 years." President Holtz said.

"I think we are fine just the way we are. Muslims are important but they'll come no matter what we do." Senator Makalson replied.

"Although Holy Paradise is against Communism, I will reopen trade and diplomacy with any Communist nation willing to do such. I am a conservative, but alliances are important to me." President Holtz answered.

"We do not need to associate with Communist nations. They are against what we are for. I am a liberal, but Communism will stain this nation." Sen. Makalson answered.

Kyleralians watched in disbelief as News channels reported the insult to Kyleralia.

" We understand that we do have differant political views. Even though we are communist our people are happy with the government. Disturbing but expected reports trickled into The Cremlon, the legislative building of government. Some of the reports stated that citizens were burning campaign signs of The Senator. Others were describing the anger of citizens.

To appeal to the people of Kyleralia Kyleralia has Wired 5 million dollars to Holtz to help him win re-election.

Why is the President against same-sex marriage, and why is he for the death penalty?

"What makes you for or against the death penalty?"

"I am for the death penalty because violent criminals deserve no mercy in my world. The death penalty is the most reasonable punishment for these monsters." President Holtz answered.

Sen. Makalson disagreed, "The death penalty is a horrible thing. No one, no matter how violent they are, deserves to die. As the saying goes, 'An eye for an eye makes the world blind.'"

As to the burning of effigies of the Senator, Makalson had this to say, "You think that President Holtz is all great and kind? He's the one who founded the Capitalist Defense and Economic Alliances, which are very anti-Communist. Mr. President, you did this. Explain yourself."

"At the time, Senator, the world events were mostly Communist rebellions and such. In the country's best interests, I made the Capitalist Defense and Economic Alliance to help promote capitalism to the world. True the alliance is a bit anti-Communist, but aren't you being hypocritical, saying that Communism is a stain on the country but then accusing me of being anti-Communist?" President Holtz answered.

Why is the President against same-sex marriage, and why is he for the death penalty?

"I am against gay marriages because its just plain wrong. In the Bible, it clearly states homosexuality is a sin. Also, 98% of this country is Catholic, and the Catholic Church itself says gay marriages are wrong. The country does not want gay marriages, and since that's what the country wants, that's what it'll get. About me supporting the death penalty, its because violent criminals are the scum of humanity, and the death penalty is the scum remover. I think its in the world's best interests that we eliminate such monsters from the planet." President Holtz answered.

"Yes, I will. They have not wronged us in any way and I even consider them allies." President Holtz said.

"For once, I agree with my opponent." Sen. Makalson replied.

Yet another News Reporter Stood up...

" This question is for you senator"

" You say you agree with the president on considering Communist allies. However just a little while ago you stated that you didnt want anything to do with us. Why is that?

"Erm...uh...well, I realized I made a mistake, and I revised my stances. Kyleralia has helped us before. Also Kyleralia is not like some Communist nations that are more violent. When I said Communism is a stain on Holy Paradise, I was talking about the violent and oppresive Stalinists."

A large grumble went over the crowd. People smirked and made unkind remarks about the senator. The senator just looked at the crowd like he was going to poop himself.

Then A member of the crowd shouted out...

" FLIP-FLOPPER"

The crowd then almost went crazy as they chanted " Flip-Flopper, Flip Flopper, The Senator's a Flip Flopper!"

President Holtz overheard the chanting by the crowd. "How dare you people call anyone a flip-flopper! I hate elections that are dirty and slanderous due to such insults! He has changed his views! People make mistakes! I do not encourage such slander and hatred, nor will I ever." he yelled.

That ends the debates for today.

The crowd grew silent. Even though They were not chanting they all knew the senator was against communist nations and didnt want anything to do with them.

The crowd then out of nowhere started again.

" HOLTZ , HOLTZ, WE WANT PRESIDENT HOLTZ!"

President Holtz and Senator Makalson shook hands. "John, you swept the floor with me in this debate. Good job." Sen. Makalson congratulated.

Just as the Senator started walking off a members of the crowd threw papers and other strange items at the senator. The Senators walk soon became a run as he dashed off the stage. Then From no where The Kyleralian National Anthem blared from the speakers ( to the tune of the russian ).

President Holtz sighed upon hearing that Senator Makalson was insulted physically and mentally as he left made him sigh. "It was okay that people didn't have to like a person in politics, but as God as in his heaven do we have to hate each other to the point that we will attack each other?" he thought.

Day 2 of the debates:

"I don't think gun control will help as guns can be obtained illegally. I am planning to renovate the enviroment." President Holtz said.

"I support gun control, and agree with President Holtz on the enviroment." Sen. Makalson said.

A Kyleralian Reporter stood up from the crowd,

"Mr. Senator this ones for you. How Do you respond To the overwelming numbers on the polls and the hatred put against you?"

A Kyleralian Reporter stood up from the crowd,

"I am not concerned about the polls, as they are not the actual election. The hatred, though, has been aggravating and I ask that the ones sending the hatred please stop." Senator Makalson said.

Just as another reporter was starting to ask a question he was iterupted. A member of the crowd Ran out of nowhere and Waved The Kyleralian Flag and started running around The room.
Then the man shouted..

" HOLTZ, HOLTZ, WE WANT HOLTZ"

The Crowd exploded and started chanting like crazy. A few moments later Red and yellow shades were put over the lights and the Kyleralian national anthem played in the backround.

President Holtz began speaking, "Although I am flattered that you want me in office, I would like it if you stop interrupting this debate with chants and the Kyleralian National Anthem. I wish to have a clean and fair debate with Senator Makalson. You can chant in the streets and such after the debates."

However the crowd didnt stop chanting. They couldnt even here the president pleading for them to stop. All you could see Was Red and yellow lights glaring with the Kyleralian National Anthem playing. The President continued to ask them to stop but they wouldnt. The candidates looked like they could just simply run.

President Holtz and Senator Makalson left the building, guarded by the Secret Service.

The men left for the Presidental Palace, and began part 2 of day 2 of the debate.

The New part of the debate seemed to going well. It was nice and quite with only a few reporters.

" Mr.President this ones for-"

A loud bang was heard from the backround. The crowd gasped as they spotted the senator was just laying on the floor bleeding.

"Oh dear God! Secret Service! Find the man who shot Makalson and get him dead or alive!" President Holtz yelled. The secret service men rushed down the steps and rushed through the crowd, looking for the shooter. Meanwhile, Sen. Makalson was carried onto a stretcher by nearby paramedics and taken to the hospital.

It didnt stop there. As the senator was carried away to the hospital in the ambulance a car started ramming it off the road. Finally just as the ambulance almost reached the hospital It spun out of control and flipped over on its top.

Upon hearing the news, President Holtz mobilized the National guard to protect Sen. Makalson, who was amazing still alive. He was drove to the hospital in another ambulance along with the two injured paramedics. Meanwhile, the chase of the shooter continued. President Holtz himself got out his Presidental Pistol and began chasing the shooter. Sen. Makalson was one of his good friends.

Despite the presidents efforts the shooter was lost in the city. The President issued The National Guard to keep searching while he checked on The Senator.

The Ambulance finally arrived at the hospital. The Paramedics carried the senator and the injured 2 out of the ambulance. Meanwhile 2 men got out of a car that was parked near the enterance of the hospital they were entering. Just as they were about to enter the doors the car only about 7 feet away, exploded.

National Guardsmen began shooting at the two terrorists who set off the car bomb, killing them. Meanwhile 20 tanks guarded the hospital with 30 National Guardsmen guarding the room of the Senator, 10 being inside the room. President Holtz called with him 1 Secret Service agent and they began searching the city in the President's corvette.

The senator layed in the bed in critical condition. A nurse came through pushing the guards away and injected a needle into him.

" Your going to be alright Mr.Senator, just hang in there"

The nurse walked out of the room and shut the door behind her. As she walked down the hall she gave a slight smile, She had injected Poison into the senator.

Senator Makalson began to die. As the nurse left, a doctor saw the remaining contents of the needle. "She injected poison into the Senator! Shoot her!" he yelled. 5 National Guards shot her to death. Then they proceeded in shooting up her body. The doctor ran into the room and injected the antidote, saving the Senator barely.

The Senator was just hanging by a thread for his life. Then out of nowhere One of the national guard members open fire on the Senator hitting him multiple times.

The Senator died fro the gunshots as another National Guardsman came in and slit the assasin's neck, killing him. The guard then cried. When President Holtz heard the news, he became furious, and ordered all Kyleralians in the city arrested.

Telegram to Kyleralia:
We thank you for your concern. However out of suspicion and to find the shooter, we have ordered the arrest of all Kyleralians in Holy Paradise City. Please do not take this as prejudice. We only want to find the shooter and the man who attacked with his car.

President Holtz caught the shooter and the man who attacked with his car. He drove them to the Pit of Doom and threw them in, where they were chopped, sliced, and mulitated.

(OOC: Wow, President John killed him, HP!? :eek: I didn't know he had it in him! :D)
