Front page article from the Taldaani Independent:

Last night, a new terrorist group emerged in Taldaan. Calling themselves the Movement for a New Taldaan, they hijacked the Taldaani News Network for around twenty minutes before police arrested the two members who broke into the broadcasting room and held the newsreaders and workers hostage. Eric Streeton, one of the two men being held by the Taldaani Police Force in an unknown location, delivered a chilling ultimatum to the Taldaani Government:
"Taldaan has gone too far," he said, "Taldaan has become a travesty of what it should be. Civil rights are spiralling out of control, at the expense of the moral principles and correct thinking which make nations great.
Taldaan has pushed equal rights for the lesser peoples down our throats for far too long. We are forced to live side by side with inferior peoples. We are even stopped from denouncing them for what they are: sub-human. Every day, more immigrants come to Taldaan, to attach themselves to our nation like parasites. We must resist the tide.
We must also stop rewarding the lazy and the stupid with our social security system and free health and education. There is nothing wrong with the principles, simply with the method. They should not be given to those who contribute nothing, they must instead be given to the rich men who deserve them.
Finally, we must stop the tide of deviants. Homosexuals, communists, trade unionists. They are evil. We must wipe out every one of them.
So, good right-thinking people of Taldaan. We must rise up. Overthrow the government, to be replaced with those who will make Taldaan great. Hack down the red flag over the Government Hall. Abolish those travesties our corrupt, communist government set up. Victory or death!"

So far, no official government response has been made. However, rumours say that, while being a member of this organisation will not be illegal, any crimes motivated by this organisation will be dealt with more severely than is usual.

ooc: Everyone is free to comment or whatever, but I don't want them wiped out. I have a few ideas for these guys.

It saddens us to see organisations such as these exist outside as well as within our borders. Be sure to call on us if they provide a serious threat in the future.

Communist Louisiana supports the current government of Taladaan and will not hesitate to send in forces to crush any terrorist organization.

Thank you for your offers of support in this trying hour. We only hope that the situation never gets that bad.

The President stood watching, waiting for the news camera to begin it's live broadcast to the people of Taldaan. He had decided he would tell them his feelings, and what would be done about the MNT. The cameraman began the countdown, and the lights in the studio went off, except those shining on him. He began his speech.

"People of Taldaan, comrades. It is with the greatest regret that I announce that the stories about the Movement for a New Taldaan are true. Last night's broadcast was not a hoax. No doubt you had already heard this. No doubt you also know what they stand for.
I say this to you, people of Taldaan: we will not be moved by one extremist group. We will keep Taldaan on the path which has served us all so well, which has kept us free and happy. We will never sacrifice that which we have stood by for all these years, as to do so would be to kill everything we believe in, to kill Taldaan. I love this country, I always have, and I will be cold in my grave before I see it become what the MNT wants.
I urge all MNT members to reconsider their alliegances. Simply being a member is not a crime, and so long as members do not commit crimes, they will not be punished."
