New Country emerges out of the Ashes.......
The Upper Congo

Thanks to the hate that was bread by the people during the Monarchy era of The Upper Gongo's history and political turmoil still rife from the fake election held last year many people revolted against their cruel masters, the most revolt being in the 2nd largest city Lake Congo, industrial powerhouse and main economic powerhouse of the Upper Congo. When the revolt came thousands of people protested and soon enough goverment soldiers fired on the unarmed protestors. 90% of the protestors fled, the rest were either killed or wounded. This was the final straw......
Three days after this atrocity there was news that a rebel force was now open for business. Soon enough they grew within numbers and they attacked the minor outpost near the borders near the south end. Caught unaware and with their pants down*so to say* 50 goverment soldiers were killed and 150 taken prisoner. Now with 5000 soldiers, men or women they were powerful enough to stage an invasion. Sweeping over 147 miles in a matter of two days they launched a major strike against Lake Gongo. Even though 200 were killed the city was safe and under rebel control. They now controled the biggest manufactuer of arms and the biggest food producer in The Upper Gongo. Also with 300 miles under their control things seemed to get worse for the King and Queen, and it did.
The King, the main general ordered a do or die attack against the rebels at their stronghold, now filled with all the defenses you could think of. 50,000 goverment soldiers followed through with the attack.... but they were disorganised and units were surrounded and either killed or captured. With his army in dissaray the royal family fled and a new goverment was installed by the House of Parliament. The whole population, unhappy with their decision rose up and toppled the goverment, placing the rebels in control of the country.

We would like to exchange embassies and a possible aid program to help your country regain its military and economical strength, we find this very important since many new countries take the step towards communism and countries like Hogsweat to see to their early needs.
Should you be interested you can send a message directly to me and I will take care of it.
PS: Should this work out, we will probably buy a substantial amount of your exports.

That is excellent news, but I am afraid I am going to need a bit more information; where can we build an embassy? Will you be exchanging one to our capital? Do we have to provide our own security? And I would also like to know if you would accept some aid from us, wether that be money or goods that is up to you.

The choice to build an embassy is yours, you can choose wherever you want it to be BUT it must be in the capital. We will accept any foriegn aid to help our country to flourish like it should. Also, you can either bring your own soldiers to protect your embassy as the area built own the embassy becomes your own soil or you can hire Upeer Congo's experienced soldiers. The choice is yours. Also I would like to establish embassies in all your capitals.*Applies to everyone who messages here*

As a new nation myself, I would like to exchange embassies and offer trade deals for The Upper Congo. I occupy areas of the Middle East so land trading should not be too hard.

Regards,
The Guild of Foreign Trade,
The Republic of Siap wishes to establish an embassy in your capitol. We can supply our own guards. On another note, we would be willing to start immediate trade. We need oil and metals. In exchange for those we can sell you rubber as well as some surplus military equipment. As a gesture of goodwill we will offer you a $10 billion aid package and a credit that will half tariffs on your goods.

The Imperium wishes to establish an embassy in the new state; in order that we can quickly build up diplomatic relations, we would also like to propose that we provide you with military hardware; such as the Whirlwind and Predator tanks, and a lump sum of money, to assure the birth of our friendship.
The Imperium awaits a reply

On the subject of Merceneries:
For 10,000, that would equal some £500,000 every 3 months. That pays for supplies and ammo. But you must supply living arrangements.
The Upper Congo accepts all proposals for trade and embassies.
Siap, I have ordered that 5 ships full of oil and metals be sent to your port which is closest to us. I will send a another 10 ships BUT but I need rubber as soon as possible to construct more vehicles. You may surply as much surplus military equipment as were are mobilizing to push the rebels out of the ports of Lindos and Tory.
After a while of ruling President Joubert ordered the mobilization of all available units. 40,000 people were sent to take the port of Lindos and only 15,000 were sent to take Tory because of it's smaller size.
To all Allies and Ambassadors..... President Joubert has granted rights of passage to all wishing to come through.

We are prepared to assist the new government. Five companies of five hundred troops, and four companies of thirty tanks will be dispatched immediately, on the condition no harm will come of the old rulers once they are captured, and that you will allow surrender of any loyalists wishing to do so. More companies can be mobilized if necessary.
Our military use chemical warfare as standard in their actions. We will allow them to use VX and Sarin shells at their discretion, if this is acceptable to you. While ill-disciplined by many's standards, they will not use these weapons if there is perceptable danger to civilians.
We are sending a crew to construct our embassy, in order to establish diplomatic and trade relations with you. If you are in dire need of anything, including arms, we will endeavour to ship these to you immediately out of current stockpiles. Fifty tonnes of rubber will be arriving with the troops by IL-76 transport.
We hope this is satisfactory.

All help is appreciated. We are aiming to become a world super power and any help appreciated. One question, who is the general you are sending? Or are the soldiers under our control? If they are under our control then they must become part of the Foriegn Legion sent to places where help is needed the most. We have no interest in capturing the Royal Family.... They fled to Canada and there is where they will stay. If they ever do try and return we will execute them.

Lindo's has surrendered without a fight. 10,000 soldiers put down their arms and ripped off their badges showing they will no longer fight for a corrupt ego-maniac useless Monarchy. They have been sent to a P.O.W camp 37 miles North of the Capital. From there 2,000 will be sent to farms around The Upper Congo, 3,000 will be sent to go work in workshops and factories, 1,000 will be sent to work in all types of mines, another 3,000 will be sent into the Normal Army and the rest of the P.O.W's will chop down wood to make furniture and then replant more trees to help the eco-system.
The battle for Tory is intense.... a small loyalist force of 3,000 defends it. A spy plane sent 7 hours before the attack took pictures showing the enemy preparing for the attack that could ruining the ex-monarchy.
First Target for the 15,000 troops:
First Federal Bank: Defended by 700 troops.
The defence was fierce, we had to blast them out with artillery in close range. Also over 400 grenades were used to flush the enemy out of their well-prepared defenses.
Total Casualties:
Loyalists: 358 dead, 340 taken prisoner.
New Goverment Troops: 200 dead.
More news will be posted.

I have dispatched five freighters laden with rubber. I also have a few Harrier jets and some scuds which I could part with, which are being sent. We need the following metals: Aluminum, Iron, Tantalum, Tungsten, and Zinc. I also noticed you need corn, which I can provide you with easily. If you want I can send naval/ air assistance to help your strike on those ports. If it interests you I have a little excess of depleted uranium, which I could send at your request.

Also, what is the climate of your nation? Our corporation Consolidated Fruits Inc. was wondering if they could (If your country's climate is warmer) have their tropical fruit plantations there. They would need 10,000 acres which they would pay $10 million per annum as well as all of the corn they produce (about 10% of the proposed crop).

Rulers of The Upper Congo,
Our troops have reported touching down in your nation. They are lead by Jason "Nosebleed" Bollard, a very competent general who has served in Urkistan. He will be reporting to you immediately. Deployment of these forces is under your dictation, but we request they be left to fight autonomously to avoid allowing possible variations in tactics and training conflict with your own; they will, of course, fight happily alongside your own troops.
We hope we can be of service, and will mobilize more soldiers immediately if needs arise.
Yours respecfully,
Jeff C Gorevomit, Slaytanicca
OOC: Feel free to use my troops and post losses, whatever, if I'm not about. We use the ST-21 sold by Soviet Bloc; we have production rights and use this almost exclusively at the moment as our other tanks are mainly old rusty Soviet junk :) I'll post the thread when I find it. They have five chemical shells apiece - VX and Sarin these days (was mustard gas).
Infantry tend to use fully-auto shotguns and 7.62 ARs, with a scattering of flamethrowers, RPGs and SAMs. They are pretty badly disciplined and loutish but well-trained and compassionate - they won't kill civilians or deserters, for instance, and will certainly take prisoners. They might trash a few buildings for the fuck of it before they realise what they're doing, though :)

The climate of our nation varies with the climate. We have provided your company with 15,000 acres to do with what you like. Reminder, it is in the Southern Part of the country some 70 miles where the fighting is taking place so your crops will not be affected.
Also the following metals: Aluminum, Iron, Tantalum, Tungsten, and Zinc have been sent to your ports. All ships contain 700 tons of each metal. We do not need military assitance by bombardment because we need to save as many buildings as possible. We are trying to construct a small nuclear weapon and we would appreciate your uranium.

Second Target for the 14,800 troops:
The Tory Court of Law
The attack was precise, also it was at night when most soldiers were asleep and so the guardsmen were knocked unconscious and taken prisoner. The slepping soldiers were tied up and there weapons taken. They were taken by train to the P.O.W camp and are under strict supervision.
Further News
The Third Target for the 14,800 troops:
The Tory Public Library and School
Defended by 1,000 troops. The fighting was hand-to-hand and there were many reported casualties. Near the computer section of the library an explosive set by the loyalists killed 4 and blocked the entrance towards the main hall. Eventually an army engineer managed to clear away the rubble and send a smoke screen to shield the oncoming soldiers. The second floor fighting was incredibly intense with over 400 people wounded, but making their way to the third floor was the worst fighting with many grenades and bombs going off. The loyalists were forced to surrender when there Food Hall was surronded and all escaped routes blocked. 200 were flushed out and taken away. The School, with no garrision left was alone and so became the main headquarters for the Rebel cause. Only the city docks stand in our way and they are being repeatdly bombed and shelled by nearby battleships and artillery. It is only time until they will have to give in.
Casualties
Loyalists:
430 dead, 370 wounded and 200 prisoner
Rebels:
370 dead, 100 wounded.

I'm sorry Merchant Guilds but without ships we cannot trade.
The Goverment has granted Reeve and Son construction Company £3,000,000,000 to build the following:
9 Oil Refineries
2 Military Airports
1 Civilian Airport
Extensive upgrading of all factories, highways and railroad tracks.
Also
We are halfway through the construction of one of the biggest powerplants in Human History. It will be manned by some 23,000 people and generate 3 times more energy than we need. The rest will be sold off to countries that need it.

Thank you for the land. We are preparing to send you 1000 tons of rubber and 1000 tons of limestone. I was wondering, could we use any prisoners you have to work these new fields? It is expensive to import labor, and we would be willing to compensate you up to £5000 per prisoner.
Apologies on the uranium, but it is depleted uranium, which has no possible use for construction of nukes, but can be used for tank shells or armor piercing bullets. If you send us another shipment of the above metals (Minus tantalum and copper instead of iron) we could supply you with a few tactical nukes. Also, if you are interested we are working on a purified hydrogen bomb which leaves no radioactive waste after the explosion.

Important World Changing News!
Today, our scientists have discovered how to replace Oil and Petrolium with water and sunflower oil!
First of all, fresh water *in a full gas tank* can go 3 times more then ordinary petrolium. Fresh Water can only go 2 as far but it is less hazourdous to vehicles....... This prime discovery could change everything.......

With all of the country under his control President Joubert was riding high... his army, now 70,000 in numbers was one of the most professional and well organised armies ever to exist.....
He decided what to do with the P.O.W's, all of them were to grow corn and apples for export and regional use. With the civil war now over and with a dedicated workforce he start's rebuilding his country, we wanted it to be the best, the most efficient and most loyal. He is willing to start this from scratch.
Further News!
With two oil refineries completed we have started shipment and will be soon profiting from the large oil fields 40 km's NorthWest from the capital......
We are sending four tactical nuclear weapons as per your request. They are being sent via C-47 transport plane. We will send you the warhead detonation codes once you confirm there arrival. We have confirmed the prisoner requirements and have begun immediate construction of the plantations.

The Republic of Siap has made air/ cruise missile support available to Upper Congo. The Aircraft Carrier Scimitar has been sent escorted by 3 AEGIS cruisers, each carrying 5 cruise missiles. I was also wondering if we could set up a permanent trade relationship. I am about to aquire some uranium mines once I help someone put down a few nasty rebels.
