TIR Fleet Rendevous Point
Kliff Teller was nervous. Today was the day, the day when his hard built organization, The Imperial Rebellion, would show those morons in the Parliment that the Galactic Empire was nothing to be trifled with. Kliff was still disgusted at his nation's refusal to join the obviously grand alliance, they had been brain-washed ny rebel propaganda and lies. Kilff was sure of it. He checked his watch one more time. He kicked the deck beneath his feet, the deck which belonged to the former XNV Monsoon, and was now the IRS Empire. Kliff smiled, "Move the fleet in. We have a surprise for the Xessies."

Greg Sullivan tugged on his collar. He was walking into the reactor chamber of a Bradbury class battleship, a reactor chamber surrounded by marines armed with BR-737 Flechette rifles. He swallowed and tightened his grip on his package. He took a deep breath and entered the chamber, and he froze. Standing there in full white and silver dress uniform glory was a woman.
"Good you're here. I'm late for a meeting on the surface so get that thing installed." She ordered promptly.
"You're not XPDC, you're Navy." Greg said, "What are you doing here?"
The officer sighed, "I told you I have a meeting. If you mean what I'm doing in the reactor core, I'm waiting for you because the normal guy got shipped off to medbay with some nasty burns." She paused, "What are you waiting for. Get to work!"
Greg was suprised by her abruptness, and didn't think twice about installing the device. As soon as he was finished the officer left, muttering something about an Admiral. Greg stopped to admire her figure. He continued out of the ship. I hope she's on the surface when this thing goes on. he thought, It'd be a shame if she died with the rest.

Kliff glanced at his watch, something he had been doing with ever increasing frequency. It's finally time, he thought, All that hard work and planning is about to pay off.
"Captain Teller, it's time. Should I send the signal?"
Kliff looked at the young recruit and smiled, "Yes, send the signal."
Gateway Orbit
The newly installed device in one of the reactor chambers of the XPDV Nylund sat patiently waiting for the signal. When it arrived nobody would have noticed. No lights turned on, no sounds were emmited. All that happened was the release of a virus into the ships network, a virus identical to the others which were released into the nine other battleships in Gateway orbit.
The virus crept it's way through the network till it found it's target, the weapon control systems. It quickly silenced any alarms and bypassed the firewalls and gained control of the firepower of the battleship. It targeted all military ships in range, and transmitted that it was ready to begin. Seconds later the virus's nine brothers reported the same, and in unison they unleashed their fury upon the unsuspecting ships.
Blue beams of LinAc fire scorched through unshielded hull, Heterodyne lasers blasted globs of molten metal into the void and brilliant anti-matter detonations lit the sky like miniature suns. In that first devastating volley the viruses had crippled the defenses of Gateway, the few remaining ships would be easy prey for the approaching TIR fleet. The virus had one last task to do however, it could sense the crew struggling to release it's grasp on the system, so it hurried. It had spared two Ragnorok missiles from it's volley, it was now time to activate them. The virus sent the detonation signal, and in an instant the virus and the ship's crew vanished in an anti-matter funeral pyre.

From Hyperspace the Fleet of Ra came out. His ships moved with slow speed towards the gateway. The Largest of the ships, at least twice the size, had a stargate on board, which opened presently, to allow a prasesion of guards, as well as a boy who looked no more then 16. They walked to the bridge, and he looked apon the opposition. They had been decimated by the Rebel attack, and the Goa'uld moved through the area, fireing apon all ships in its way. As the Fleet had come out close to the Gateway, they where ahead of the rebel forces, who Ra ordered fire to be stoped against them. He smiled, soon they would have helped another nation to gain their own desines, to join the Empire. Soon.......
OOC Ok, suggestion, tell the people when the thread starts! I only found this because I was worried, and went looking. Ok, calm down.

OOC: I said I would start it "tommorow" last Thursday, meaning I would start it last Friday. Which I did. I guess I need to be more specific then.
IC post to replace this later today.

OOC: Unified Sith I'd be more than happy to have you in this thread. I hope you find the time.
As for my tardiness in my post, it's because I've got a lot going on right now. I'll do my best to keep posting regularily but real-life does come first.

A young intelligence officer sprinted down the hall. He swung around a corner and pushed past several people who offered numerous expletives in response. He burst through a double wooden door and into the office of the Prime Minister who was having a meeting with Xessmithian High Command. "Sirs, Gateway's been invaded. It's orbital defences are gone." He managed to get out between gulps of air.
"What do you mean 'gone'?" Asked Fleet Admiral Armishaw, as he stepped between General Conrad and General Farnsworth of the Marine Corps and Planetary Defense Corps respectively.
The officer took a deep breath and answered, "I mean they're gone, they no longer exist."
"What destroyed them lieutenant? Those are my men and women we're talking about." Farnsworth asked quickly.
"We've only gotten sketchy reports but it appears that something took control of the Bradburys and opened fire on the rest of the defence force. After that was done the battleships then self-destructed."
"Are there any survivors?" Asked Harold Juxton, the Prime Minister, who had been silent up till now.
"Three frigates and a eight corvettes managed to make it through the gate before it was automatically shut down." The comm panel beeped, "That would be the latest brief from intelligence, I didn't want to wait to tell you."
"You did good lieutenant." Said Armishaw, he activated the intellegence brief on the panel.
A video started playing, on it several ships built around pyrimid like structures were firing at the remains of Gateway's defences. The few frigates left returned fire with everything they had but just didn't have enough firepower to do much damage. And in the center of it all was much larger vessel, at least twice the size of the others, that was easily destroying the frigates trying in vain to attack it.
"The spooks are calling the smaller capital ships Cairo-class while the big one you saw is called Thebes-class. There were also sightings of fighter and bomber/gunboat like vessels, Ramses-class and Cleopatra-class respectively. They're too small to be picked up from the high-res observation scopes on the surface." The lieutenant activated a still image, two fuzzy pictures appeared, one like a drawing of bird done by a child and the other more a blob, "We did manage to get these from a geo-synch weather satelite however. From the descriptions, the bird like one is a Ramses while the other is a Cleopatra."
"What about Gateway itself?" Asked Farnsworth.
"Planetary shields are on full, but they'll only last at that strength for a week, ten days tops, before the reactors run out of fuel. At that point they'll be down to only having theatre shields. The las update said they're evacuating all the major cities and setting up camps in mountain ranges." The lieutenant answered.
"That'll keep most of our ground troops unavailable for defense for the likely ground invasion." Conrad said thoughtfully. "We need to re-enforce Gateway at once. Armishaw, if you could moblize your fleet we could try to drive them out of the system."
"That'd be hard, they're spread through out the system on drills. I can only get a portion of my fleet mobilzed in time, and none of the ships would be dreadnaughts, they're either out on drills with the rest of the fleet or still in drydock getting touched up. Farnsworth, how fast can you shift some of your vessels to Gateway?" Armishaw asked his counterpart from the XPDC.
"Since the Xess-Gateway TCG is down and it's to risky to re-open we'd have to rig them with temporary tach drives and gate them to Icefire. And my forces in Icefire aren't heavy enough to change the situation in Gateway any."
Harold rubbed his eyes, "Arnishaw, recall your fleet and Farnsworth tell your fleet to work tripple time to make those rigs. As of now we have no other military tasks on our agenda, the defence of Gateway and her people are all that matter."
"Yes sir." The brass said.
"What should we do till they're ready?" Asked the lieutenant.
"We just have to hope they can hold Lieutenant, just hope they can hold."

Ra watched from the safty of his planet, smiling as he saw his forces cut through the opposing fleet. His ships tore through the last of the Ships in the gateway. He watched, and sent an order for them to bombard the planet before the ship landed the Stargate. He almost killed his guard when the sheilds came up. So, this fight would not be as easy as it seemed. He smiled, this would be more fun, more interesting then nothing in his way.

Meh, I'll finish it myself. It's what I planned to do when no one was interested anyway, so no big loss.

Klif swore. His allies had left, leaving him and his forces alone to finish, and there was no way he could pull a win out of this without the support. He sighed.
"Order all ships to retreat." He said slowly.
"But..." His chief-of-staff started, Klif cut him off.
"We can't take the fight to the ground like we intended to without the support." He paused and looked around the bridge, "We did however strike a devastating blow to Xessmithia. We managed to destroy Gateway's entire system defence fleet. And that is not something to laugh at. We may not be able to go all the way, but we'll be back." Kliff smirked, "Oh we'll be back."
