However, 99.99% of the time I'm kind to newbies, look at Farmina. ;) She got along fine with everyone else, not to mention got half the ns world after her.

I'll be more than glad to help, I have already helped various nations, including Neo Cannen, Serafima, Taldaan, Samstag and Hataria but this idea seems very good and i'll gladly subscribe to it.

Well I'll be happy to help. I was one of those to help TFU, and one of only a few who actually bothered to try and help Sephrioth. I've also been here a long time, so I know what you can and can't get away with.

You judge that by yourselves. In Hataria's last RP people seemed to think that he improved. Serafima is well known on the forums, possibly not for war RPing but still, she's good at RPing... character RP's. I've seen Taldaan and Neo Cannen around, and they seem to be doing very well. But your choice if you believe me or not.

Thankyou for all your generous offers. But as the number of adopters:adoptees = 10:1 some new nations would be appreciated. I have done a bit of plugging, who knows?

I think it should be more detailed, such as if a newb nation comes in and say, he's an extreme right-wing nation, then we should match him with a nation of similar beliefs, so that if either should get into conflict, they'll be on the same side, and not against one another.

Has recently signed a treaty with Aligned Planets and several other states after helping them. In battles we have a main ground force and two aircrafts.

I'd be interested in getting a twin, or older sibling, roleplaying mentor, whatever terminology you'd want to use. As for this nation, In Character, it's future tech, but not too futuretech, I hope. Here's a basic summary:

The race of the Nyeedk superficially resemble enlargened and short winged fruit bats, who evolved on a low gravity moon of a gas giant whose primary is known on earth as Betelgeuse. In their language their sun is Nyi, the gas giant Kalak Ci, and their world Nyeern. The nation is actually composed of refugees, for the Nyeedk predict that their star will soon pass from the stage of a red giant, to that of a supernova. Obviously, this wouldn't exactly make for good living conditions on their planet, and thus an international coalition was formed, spreading out into space, gathering resources, and creating a ship. So was created the Kalahstain (which can variously be translated as Sky in the Rock, Guardian of Life, or a few other things...). The Kalahstain is a gigantic generation ship, and the current generations have never seen the natural red light of the sun under which their kind evolved. It's a generation ship because in all honesty they have little tech beyond modern, it's only been applied differently (If you've ever read "The High Frontier" by Gerard K. O'Neill you'll understand what I'm talking about). So it was that via what nuclear capacity the Nyeedk had that they relocated bits of several different asteroids and comets, melted them together, hollowed out the life sections, and then sent it hurling into the black depths, a stone cast into the abyss. I have yet to actually roleplay anything of this happening; I figure I can start with first contact stuff when Kalahstain pulls into orbit of earth or someplace similar.

Anyways, as to politically, the Nyeedk are currently rather expansionist, simply because they believe themselves the only survivors of their species. However, they aren't as warlike as humans, and would prefer to expand economically, and by claiming unused space rocks. Used to living in space and on the move, the current generation of the Nyeedk don't have as much concept of territory or the need for land, so I'm not sure if they'll get involved in war RP much. They currently have no alliances with anyone, and travel freely from region to region (hey, at least I have a decent IC excuse for that), and have little in the way of military save antimeteorite defenses. They believe in the freemarket, and in democracy, and aren't particularly left or right wing; they currently care too much about just surviving for their to be too much in fighting and disagreement between Parties.

I hope that was understandable, and that someone has any sort of advice at all...

I'm fairly new to RP'ing and could use some help, I'm sure. I've restricted my attempts to the UN Stranger's Bar and regional events that are off-board, but those have slowed down so.....

Understand creating characters, staying in character, and maintaining a certain reality (i.e., no godmoding) etc. but am not too good at giving any kind of direction to a thread whatsoever. Also, can't war RP as I can barely tell you the difference between an aircraft carrier and a cruiser (one has a runway and planes and the other doesn't) so I sorely need assistance in that area. And keep in mind I could only think of aircraft carrier and had to ask a co-worker for another example of a military ship :) (sad, I know...) I also don't really understand how to use the numbers you get from the economy calculators or how to figure out what I can spend, etc. HELP!

At the moment the home computer is being fixed, so for now I don't have IM or any of those and I'm only online at work or sometimes on the weekend if I head out to the cybercafe or library.

About my nation:

We are a Scandinavian Liberal Paradise, no drug laws and legalized, although regulated, prostitution. Very little governmental corruption and a 69% income tax rate. We have outlawed elections, at least for the present (read: until I figure out what the hell I'm doing). So, I guess we're pretty far over to the left *grin*

Population is 316 million, civil rights: superb; economy: reasonable; and political freedoms: very good.

Anyway, I'm up for twinning. When I began I was crap but a lot of people helped me out. I did everything on, puppetwanking, godmodding....but I got cured.
