OOC: The various AP classes I'm currently taking are brutally raping me in the ass. I now have absolutely no time for as many serious/actual effort-used RPs as I normally am, esp. wars and such, due to cramming for tests and trying to whittle down the massive pile of HW on my desk.

So, pretty much, the only threads I will engage in now are matters of extreme importance to NATO, at least until the year ends. Or if my teachers suffer simultaeneous heart attacks. Whichever comes first.

"Hot on the recent conquest of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the nuclear annihilation of The Dark Dimension, the government of Tyrandis has announced an end to her prescence most major international affairs.

Citing "excessive tax levies on the citizenry", Executor Xavier Davidson has decreed that Tyrandis will no longer engage in any military or humanitarian action beyond her own borders and those of NATO nations.

"Simply put," said Press Secretary Judith Falkworth during a press release, "the recent amount of Tyrandisan involvement in extranational matters has forced the administration to raise taxes to unheard-of levels in our entire history."

"As the Charter of the nation requires that 'levies, fines, and fees on the people be restrained and raised only in times of emergency', the government will no longer waste valuable treasure in overseas expeditions."

However, the move does not affect the commitment of mutual defense that Tyrandis has pledged to NATO. The Senate has recently approved a much larger, seven trillion dollar budget for the armed forces this year, nearly doubling the previous account.

Officials state that this increase in armaments was accomplished by redirecting assets earmarked for foreign affairs."
