President Gistarai has returned to the capital of Shalcoria to await the election results.

"We are confident that we have served the interests of the people of Shalrirorchia. They'll retain this Adminstration if we have done our jobs." Gistarai said as he deplaned from Air Force One.

Senator Edward Wright, who is watching the election results from his hometown of Neuport, had a somewhat different perspective.

"This Administration has failed in the execution of moral values in this country. While a strong economy is important, we believe that the Shalrirorchian people are tired of the lapses of judgement from this Administration." Wright said.

News Anchor: "For analysis of the current political climate, we turn next to Carlisle Strayer at our political desk."

STRAYER: "What we have here is a backlash of sorts against the progressive policies of the President. Social conservatives are angry, and they are eager to turn Tarumigan Gistarai out of the office. On the other hand, this has turned the President's supporters out in large numbers as well. It may very well be too close to call."
