Liberation of Tigria! (N00bs only RP)

Falcania

Just a little RP for n00bs to practice their RPing. NO INVASIONS FROM OTHER EXPERIENCED NATIONS. All participating nations must comply to FINIA RP Rules (http://s3.invisionfree.com/FINIA/index.php?showtopic=55) but this does not mean you must do this in other RPs. It's just a useful guideline. To join, simply post a message (see rules) stating your forces deployed into the country, your intent and your weaponry. Hogsweat and I are coordinators.

The Situation: The Falcanian colony of Tigria is under attack from unknown terrorists. We have not gathered any Intel on them but Falcanian spies are in the area and will release information as it is gathered.

The Terrain: Tigria is a small colony, a tiny island noted for its uranium mining. The island's coastline is mainly unscalable chalk cliffs, but the south-east corner coast is mainly shallow shoal perfect for landing craft. Attempts have been tried with chinook helicopters and parachutists from planes, but all aircraft have been shot down with SAMs.

The Capital City of Felina is quite near the centre of the country, and contains TNA, Tigria national airport, currently decommissioned. Most of the civilians have been killed or evacuated, but rumours of a Felina-based Militia have been heard, led by Cnl Tiger himself, ruler of Tigria under direct command of King Falcon.

In the Northeast, in the middle of the dense Granger Forest, is the uranium mining town of Cattillia, which we have no contact with.

Most of the space inbetween is plains, with little trace of flora and fauna, except the Charger Mountain range stretching from the middle of the West coast sweeping down to the middle of the south coast. Inside that is the industrial town of Produktia. We have lost contact with this town too.

Your mission: Liberate the country.

In the Grand Office, the Grand Duke sat surrounded by his ministers during one of his frequent Cabinet meetings. His Foreign Minister, Senator Reikos moved to speak;

"Sir, we have recieved news of unrest on one of the islands of Falcania, we worked with them during that riot, I think we should send aid to make our ties stronger, they could be a useful ally in the future."

"Our men seemed to work well with them yes, but is Apollina ready for such a commitment? The people will be reluctant we all know that."

"Sir, if we send just a small group of ships to start, that could test the water so to speak, perhaps just two frigates and a destroyer, maybe a submarine. We could then guage the reaction from both the Falcanians and our own public. Sir, we need to get involved in International Affairs if we are become more influential, attract more investment and wealth."

"Very well, Senator Hokis, make preparations; Senator Reikos, contact the Falcanian Government to let them know we are on our way."

Two Halifax Class Frigates and one Delhi Class Destroyer cruised towards Falcanian waters; the Falcanians should have been expecting them but they were sending out a message to make sure, the message would alert the friendly forces to thier presence and give them thier heading, straight for the island of Tigria where they would await orders and observe the coastline.

Force sent
1 Delhi Class Destroyer (with 2 ASW Sea Hawks) - 16 Surface to Surface missiles, 2 SAM launchers, 1 100mm gun and 4 30mm cannon, 4 torpedo pods, 24 mortar tubes
2 Halifax Class Frigate (with 1 ASW Sea Hawk each) - Sea Sparrow SAM, Harpoon anti-ship, 57mm cannon, Phalanx cannons

In just four more hours the forces would arrive off the coast of Tigria and await order to begin the operation code named: "Isolated Pawn". This would be the one chance to retake the island and restore the government to power before a more drastic means would be called in upon by the ruthless general Sephiroth who was busy signing a peace treaty with Aligned Planets at the moment. Moral was good and the troops eager for combat with a new kind of enemy.

We are prepared to commit troops to your aid, once we have established for ourselves the reason for this conflict. Elements of the 2nd Slaytaniccan Fleet are moving to Tigria, with marines. We hope we can successfully integrate ourselves in the effort to liberate this colony with the minimal use of force.

1000 vehicles and 1500 air crew, 3500 troops, the rest are not on there because they are non-combatant units, but 5000 men all together is not enough to even supply logistics and ships to get them over with. Air power has been greatly reduced to fit the number of aircraft on the ships along with the cargo and elmination of all non-essential ground and air units.

If you want it to be a nice total number of people of 5000 I am sending including non-combat troops I will have to pull out of it on the reason of unable to support or provide logistics and transportation of the military forces which are needed.

Our term of small forces must be greatly different, usually I will send more then 10x my group of 50,000 to get the job done right, this is a TINY force of 5000 troops which is 1/100th of what I normally want to control. I feel like a 5 mil nation again!

Apollina can sent aid in this fight if a dock is taken, as we have roll on roll off ships that can transport an armoured platoon to aid in the battle for the island. This can also be used to send in supplies for other nations, which we are prepared to do if requested.

Of course I mean 5000 fighting infantry, Tanthan. Crews etc are counted as part of the vehicle. And the whole point is, it IS tiny. No offence meant. Apollina, air support is impossible as all air units will be shot down by the hidden SAMs. Sea is the only way of access to the island. Also, I would like it to be known that I find it easier with vehicles to think in terms of e.g. light tanks, heavy bombers, destroyer.
Kyanges
15-11-2004, 22:00
If I were to join this RP, I would mainly use air power. But as you said, there are many hidden SAMS.
My question is: What about Kyanges Aircraft? They are all equiped with Point Defense Lasers. No this DOES NOT make them invincible (75-80% laser sucess rate + lots of SAMs = lots of dead planes even with PDLs.), but it should increase their survival rate.
-Fighters 1 PDL
-Bombers 4 PDLs
-Cargo 4 PDLs
-Ground attack (Gunships) 5 PDLs
Is this allowed?
Next, what are the weapons allowed? Because if all weapons in our arsenal were allowed, Tanthan and I would make short work of this place. WITHOUT nukes. Tanthan and I both posess a particle cannon network. Would it be way out of line if I were to simply draw a path with them to where ever I needed to go with aircraft, or whatever?

These are just questions that I would need to have answered before I think about joining this RP. (Further Questions may come up later.)

For the record, Nothing post-future tech. This includes anything laser-based, with the sole exception of laser sights. If it says "beam" on it, it's banned. And I have put the SAMs there for a reason. In otherwords SAMs = Plane & chopper death. But, if you have a tactical mind, SAMs should not be a problem.

The Apollinan ships remained at a distance from Tigria island. Aboard the destroyer the Fleet Commander ordered his communications officer to contact each frigate, they would make a scout of the Tigrian coastline, the area suitable for the beach landings. They were to be on alert and ready to move away and/or defend themselves if needed, the ships would move in yet remain at a mildly safe distance.

Can you tell me what they see (if anything).

OK, that answers my question. Except, laser sights use a "beam" although, now I'm just getting technical, so I'll just back off on that. But when you say "post future tech" I'm not future, and probably won't be for a little while. Do you mean near future to post modern? Like 2020-beyond time frame?

We wish to know if the SAM sites on the islands are those that were placed there by your authorites, or by the rebels. If it is the former then surely the coordinates could be supplied and missile strikes could remove the threats. This, or special forces may be able to take out these sites; or a combination of the two.
Falcania

The SAMs were placed by rebels. However, nobody has landed troops on the shore. And lets assume its happening 2004.
Apollina
16-11-2004, 19:17
Well you should have an idea of where at least some SAM sites are due to the fact they shot down some of your choppers and planes, giving away thier positions. I cannot really commit that many troops due to the unrest it would cause at home (plus I have no assault ships or landing craft).

The Grand Duke sat at his desk running through some reports that had been left on his desk by his aide. The phone rang, he lay the papers down on the desk and picked up the phone;

"Yes?"

"Sir, Hokis here. The Falcanians are prepared to give lend us some landing platforms to make an initial attack on Tigria, an attack may give us a valuble ally, however may cause trouble here at home. What would you have me do?"

"Indeed. An ally would be of use, however this desicion may not be popular with the public or Senators. I am not prepared to send Apollinans to die for nothing. Having talked to my advisors on this situation, I am prepared commit one regiment, too many casualties will mean a pull out however. I wish for some reassurement, will a hospital ship be on standby, will we be able to send in armour from the mainland and will thier craft be ready to pull out our troops."

"Sir, I will raise these concerns with the Falcanian authorites immidiately; one regiment will be put on standby to fly out to Falcania, where they can await to sail and land on Tigria. APCs, an armoured platoon, medics and air support will also be on standby. I suggest we send two more destroyers and two more frigates to help and potentailly provide a shore attack to support our troops."

"Do it. Let them know we are prepared to aid if our concerns are addressed. Thank you Senator."

Can these craft land with APCs and tanks? And how many troops can they land? Also can the landing craft go from your mainland to the colony island or will the troops need to be helicoptered in to the sea to transfer to the landing craft?
Falcania
17-11-2004, 16:46
As far as i'm concerned a lander can take 200 men (not counting their own crews), 50 non-tank vehicles and 20 tanks. They are under your control, they can go anywhere on sea, and also in ports and landing-friendly shoals. Just say 10 lander (sailing to Apollina)

The Republic of Iracundia sends 4 companies of infantry, mostly armed with HKG37 rifles (An Iracundian variation of the HKG11 rifle). Three members in each company are armed with Dragunov SVD rifles, and serve as reconissance. Fifteen members per company, one per squad, are also armed with M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW). Each soldier is also armed with .45 Desert Eagles and 3 red phospherous grenades each.

C-5 Galaxies rented from the American army transports the companies directly into Tigria. Under cover of darkness, the C-5 Galaxies fly low enough to the sea to avoid SAMs. Modifications to the underside give the Galaxies runners instead of wheels to be able to fly this low without crashing into the sea. Results of the landing as soon as it happens.

"Good evening and welcome to the Apollinan National News. Our main headline this evening;

Having approved a military intervention on the Falcanian island of Tigria the Grand Duke made a speech that has been distributed to all Apollinan TV and radio channels. We will broadcast this statement for you now."

The picture shows the Grand Duke sat at his desk with a solemn look across his face. He motioned to speak;

"Good day my fellow Apollinans, our City has a long history of looking after our own and not interfering in other nation's affairs, however in these times, and since the opening of our borders to the world outside, things must begin to change. This must change, as if our country is to become respected and have a voice in international affairs we must act on the international stage and forge new freindships and agreements.

I am sure many of you noted the deployment of our medical personnel to help in Wrigleyivy, this mission was a success and gave us a new potential ally in the nation of Falcania. Now they are asking for our help in the form of a military intervention on the island of Tigria that is currently in revolt. My Cabinet and I feel that heeding thier call will streangthen our freindship and give us a valuble ally that will be able to aid us in any time of need. Therefore, I have approved the deployment of our Marine Commando Unit and an Armoured task force, along with support forces and medics. These forces are flying and shipping out to the Falcanian mainland as we speak, they will then cooperate with Falcanian forces to land on the island and restore control to the proper authority.

Our military will keep the public up to date with developments, also we have told the Falcanian Government that we reserve the right to pull out if we feel our postion is not tenable. Thank you, please show support for our troops, our thoughts are with them and we wish them good speed."

The screen flashed back to the newsreader.

"So Apollinan forces will be positioned overseas in an offesive role for the first time in over 175 years. Related to this, there are unconfirmed reports that the Government are preparing themselves for mass demonstrations in opposition to the Apollinan deployment overseas."

Troop Deployment

50 Medical Staff - in strategic airlift
54 Regular Infantry - in strategic airlift

Having recieved thier orders and a briefing the commandos were grearing up for the initial attack, their aim was to attack, take and hold a beach-head that would allow the heavier armour to move in.

The landing would take place in the dawn twilight; four platoons (108 men) would land in two separate craft. Along with the troops, the platoons would each have 4 Land Rovers with mounted weapons (therefore 8 in each lander). Defensive positions would be taken up about 150 to 200 yards up the beach; the landers would remain in position as this would be an initial testing probe of enemy vigilence and capability. The remaining troops and armour are preparing to move out if the beach can be secured.

It was semi-dark, in 20 or 30 minuites the sun would begin to creep over the horizon. The four platoons of the Grand Commando unit were in thier respective landers ready to steam to the beach and set up thier defensive positions. Three destroyers stood by to deliver indirect supporting fire from thier 100mm cannons.

In one lander one platoon commander loaded up a flare, this would be the signal to set off to hit the beach. It was lighter now, but still not daylight, he raised his arm an let off the flare. As it soared high over the heads of the Commandos, the Falcanian lander operators fired up the engines and began to gain momentum for the beach landing.

As the huge landing platforms hit the beach, a number of marines, along with snipers, jumped out to take up defensive flanking positions to the landing sites; others prepared the vehicles to disembark. As the vehicles rolled off the 108 men would move up the beach, staying vigilent, to take up defensive positions as per the plan.

The radio on the mainland crackled, Major General Yanis was on the radio like a shot;

"Base, this is beach team, we have defensive positions as requested, no resistence encoutered as of yet. What would you have us do? Over."

"Beach team this is base, remain in defensive positions, the rest of the force is to be readied to move out to your positions. They will be there by mid-morning. Do not let any approach, if they look like civilians or freindlies then take no risks, tell them to lie down and search them; if they look like a threat, do what you need to do to secure your safety. Out."

The rest of the combat troops were then ordered to load up onto the transports and move out to hit the secured beach. From here they can set up an initial base camp, which will enable them a place to coordinate supplies and movements until a more solid base could be found.

The C-5 Galaxies sent by Iracundia approached the coastline, not knowing the SAMs would destroy them before they even land one soldier on the coast. Five miles off the coast, when the SAMs are about to fire, each plane recieves a message from headquarters at Iracundia.

"SAM alert. SAM alert. Will not be able to land. Return to base. Repeat. Return to base. Sieze attack."

Each plane made a wide arc, turning around 180 degrees in the process. The planes went back to Iracundia without an attack. The initial attack would have to happen another way.

OK, here it comes, my first attempt at role-playing.

Frederick was nervous. He’d been delivering messages to and from the Council for months now, but this part still made him uncomfortable. He’d read the information about the Tigrian situation aloud to the assembled councillors, stepped outside, and, presumably, they were now debating what to do with it. It was the waiting that got to him. They could take a painfully long time when they wanted to, but he couldn’t think that. No. He had known messengers that had disappeared when they delivered particularly bad messages, but they had all complained about the Council beforehand, so Frederick had no intention of complaining, or even thinking of complaining, or even thinking of something that was worthy of complaining about. He should be fine though, this message was quite good. In fact, it was…
“Come back in” came the voice from the speakers. He obligingly stepped through the wooden doors, which had swung open, into the Council room. The Councillors sat around a circular table, which sat in the middle of the room. It wasn’t impressive; the walls were covered in propoga… information posters and maps, and the men seated around the table looked perfectly normal. But it was the knowledge that this was the most powerful room in Stewronia that made it impressive. “We have decided” said the man with the biggest seat, at the other end of the table. “We will take this opportunity to aid the Tigrian people from the oppressive grip of the terrorists holding the colony under siege. Take this; it has details of the forces we wish to deploy.” The man closest to Frederick handed him a slip of paper covered in writing. “Take it to the generals and have them deploy it immediately, and prepare the news reports for a statement. We shall make one at 6 o’clock precisely. That is all”. Frederick saluted and turned to leave the room.
“One more thing… send in the next man”.
As Frederick left the room he nodded to the man standing by door. The man nodded back and walked into the room. Frederick smiled as he walked down the corridor, he didn’t seem to be disappearing.
The other man was standing facing the circular table now. “Have that man removed. He is a traitor. You’re the new Chief Messenger, congratulations”.

Since the initial landings a makeshift camp had been set up about 700m in from the shore, Camp Zaarkis would be held by four platoons of Commandos while the rest of the forces moved out to the edge of the capital. Major General Yanis, having arrived in the camp, set out his plan to his Platoon and Regimental Commanders.

"Right, I want four platoons to remain in Zaarkis to defend the camp and secure our supply lines should we need to stay around here for a longer period of time. The rest of our forces will move out to the main city in the centre of the island, Felina; an armoured spearhead will be followed up by our Commandos and infantry. We shall take up a position outside the city and observe paths to move in and restore order. We may be contacted by forces loyal to the Falcanian Government, however if approached you must remain vigalent, treat all with caution. Thank you Gentlemen, we move out at noon."

To: Stewronian Military Authorities
From: Senator Hokis, Apollinan Defence Minister
We have recived news that your nation is to send military aid to the island of Tigria. If you wish for transport from the mainland we have ten, large scale, landers, operated by the Falcanian military; however you may have your own assault ships of course.

We do not know your plan of action, however we would be happy to allow a Stewronian camp near to ours, Camp Zaarkis. Sharing a camp may bring up some problems with space and authority, but we are happy for you to base yourselves near to us and maintain communictions to coordinate our movements. This will also reduce the chance of mistaken identity and damaging freindly fire.

To: Apollinan Military HQ

We thank you for your offer of friendship and ask for the loan of those landers you mentioned. We would also be interested in setting up a camp near to yours, but your men would have to keep seperate from ours, as we beliebe there would be a conflict of interests. We would also be interested in preventing any friendly fire incidents by keeping open communications. Our forces will begin transportation within 24 hours.

We would also like to know who told you that we were planning to aid in the liberation of Tigeria. We would like to talk to them.

Got to leave it now, but I'll write up my first moves tommorrow night.

Oops, sorry, I did not know that your arrival was unknown, I kind of assumed that you would have to get to the island via Falcina so would have told them you were coming. Also with tanks being involoved on Falcinian soil i again assumed you would have let them know you were coming as it would unlikely be a covert operation with an armoured taskforce such as that. If you still want an official reply I will do my best to come up with an excuse for knowing the info; sorry for my assumptions.

With the assault using the Galaxies failing, the nation of Iracundia needs althernate modes of transportation to get to Tigria. (For all other newbies out there... This is important. Know how you're going to get there. Otherwise you get a 'spawn soldiers' kind of situation.) We are asking for any nation to provide ships or other methods of transporting about 500 men

Could I get some info on Felina before I start an attack, like, how big, population etc. Thanks.

As the Apollinan taskforce moved into visual range of the outskirts of the main city, Felina, Platoon Commander Zagorikis radioed in to the Major General in Camp Zaarkis.

"Base, come in, this is Strike Force, come in base. Over."

A Corpral answered,

"Strike Force this is base, what can we do for you? Over."

"We are approaching Felina, we are entering visual range now, what are the Major General's orders? Over."

"Your orders are to remain outside the city until you are issued with further orders. If you come under attack defend yourselves but do not pursue. Good luck. Out."

The Apollinan force would set up camp about a mile from the city, the base would be centred around an abandoned farm. Tanks would be placed on the periphary in shifts and there would be peripheral patrols in Land Rovers (with IR visuals). A number of heavy machine gun nests would be set up just behind the tanks with regular shifts. They would remain there through the night.

The large ships arrived off the coast of Tigria, the ships arranged in a V formation looked at the area in which they would soon land, on the beaches a few miles infront of them.
"How's morale private?" asked the admiral.

"It's so high they are singing as they drink....." replied the soldier.

"Hahaha, that's good to hear! Let's make ourselves known though, otherwise it will take all the fun out of the war." smirked the admiral with a slight sign of madness.

The Admiral pulled out a map of the area, markings for the invasion plan and spots to recapture, given to the man before undertaking the mission. The Admiral smirked and pulled out a black marker and crossed out the invasion plan and safe zones. He circled areas of dense forests and hills.
"This is our plan!"

"Oooh...so evil, let's start this war."

The Admiral having just ruined the plans to simply get this thing over with as fast as possible radioed to the 6 large battle ships, telling them to open fire on hills with EMP shells and incendiary weapons to burn the forests down.
----------------------------------------------
On board the TBS Falcon they recieved the orders along with the other five battleships to fire, only one battleship however had a drunk commander in charge of it.

"You....you know them phseking terro....terrorist buddies! They tis hiding oot in dem beaches! Tell SAM to....to... to blow up!" and with that the commander of the battleship TBS Falcon pasted out after passing on the orders to the second-in-command.

-----------------------------------------------
All at once the 6 large battleships began opening fire on the forests and hills and other strategic spots to hide SAMs and enemy forces. Limited by the range of the guns and the terrain the hills were being shelled with great accuracy while the forests had incendiary shells randomly fired around a mile of the beaches.

One F-22 was loaded up on the flight-deck of one of the carriers. It was to be a one-way mission.

Good evening, and welcome to the 6 o'clock news, with me, Steven O'Hearn. Our main story tonight: Stewronia sends a task force to liberate Colony.
*Cue Dramatic Music*
"Hello. The Council announced today that a task force of around 1000 men is being sent to help liberate the colony of Tigeria, a colony belonging to Falcania, which has recently been beset by a plague of violence perpetrated by capitalist terror groups.
*Cut to archive pictures of happy people working, presumably in Tigeria, followed by shots of menacing men wearing black masks*
The Council ensures us that the men will all return home safely, because of their high level of training and discipline compared to many armies, especially the terrorists who will be their opponents.
*Cut to shot of conscripts marching in time*
Mass celebrations broke out in many towns and cities at the news.
*Cut to shot of people looking happy*
That's out main headline tonight, now back to your normal televison"

The men were happy, this would be their first piece of action. They had been watching the report on the news and were so happy when they heard that they were disciplined that they smashed the TV set and threw it out the window. It wasn't just the TV set that broke, lots of other things did to. The Colonel smiled, he wished he could remember when he had been that... enthusiastic. He had considered stopping them a few hours ago, but then realised that no-one was watching, so they might as well have their fun. The orders only said to act respectable and disciplined when they reached whatever hell-hole they were off too.
"How long will we be now?", he asked the skipper of the transport, who was looking distinctly worried about the noises coming from the transport section of the ship.
"Less than a day now, do you know where you want to land?"
"Indeed I do, got the maps right here".
The Colonel gave the skipper the maps to look at and began to walk back to the transport section. He considered the idea that giving the men as much alcohol as they had wanted was a bad idea, but then brushed it away, good for the nerves. He reconsidered again when he heard a scream, a splash, and many cheers. He shook his head, and smiled, remembering the days when he too had been as hot-headed as that.
Then he stopped smiling, when he remembered who else was travelling on board. The Liberation Agents! They'd have his head for this. He hurried his step back to the make-shift barracks to try and stop what could already be termed a minor riot.

The Iracundian army would greatly appreciate Falcinian landing crafts.

The Iracundian army launches the same army mentioned before, and using the landing crafts, land on a stretch of land uncontrolled by the other nations. No resistence came from the terrorists, except for one of the crafts coming into contact with WWII era underwater mines that failed to explode. Iracundia sends a warning for other countries to look out for potential mines.

The Apollinan position was centred around an abandoned farm, with marines camping out in buildings and outside. The Commandos had set up temporary defensive positions surrounding the camp, and were taking patrols and watches in shifts through the night.

It was around 2.30am, and a squad of marines were on thier way to begin thier shift of perimeter patrols in two Land Rovers. Suddenly, fire erupted to thier right hand side, rounds spattering on the floor, a few hitting the side armour of the vehicles.

"Fall back! Back to the tank positions!"

The operators of the mounted machine gus returned a few bursts of fire at the flashes coming from the darkness. As they sped back more fire erupted from the surronding area, the squad sniper used nightvision to try and pick out targets. As he began to fire a squad mate beside him fell backwards,

"Damn it! The bugger got me in the shoulder!

By now they had radioed in about the hostile fire, however the shots ringing out into the night air had alearted most anyway. It became clear that there were quite a number of terrorist fighters hitting the eastern and southern areas of the camp. As they passed the tank position it was clear the two Challengers were using thier standard night vision to open up on the enemy with thier co-axial machine guns. A couple of infantry 0.5cal positions had begun to fire too, as a number Commando Marine squads moved to forward positions on foot to greet the enemy.
Falcania
20-11-2004, 14:49
Abruptly another sound was added to the cacophony of fire. The sounds of SA80 fire rang out amongst the AK-47s. A Falcanian crewman shouted "It sounds like they're firing on each other!"
Apollina
20-11-2004, 19:08
As the Commandos returned fire it became apparant that they were not the only ones firing on the terrorists. Using infra red a couple of Marine positions identified groups of fighters, that were presumably Falcinian militiamen, putting fire down on enemy positions.

The Commandos continued to fire on the terrorists and did thier best to avoid hitting the militia, they mainly restricted themselves to sniper and tank machine gun fire to be sure of hitting the correct targets, but the other riflemen sent bursts of fire towards the enemy to keep the pressure on. The enemy were now under attack on 2 or three side, if not totally encircled, they could not hold out forever.

Two further Marines had been injured by the AK fire, they fell back and would be sent to Camp Zaarkis, where a field hospital had been set up, when it was safe.

The vessels of the Fascist Nationalist Tigria Liberation Fleet were going at full speed around the coast of Falcania, all the while broadcasting its message of good intent across all military frequencies, just to ensure that there would be no misunderstandings that could lead to an international incident. The troops on board the vessels were in high spirits, this being their first conflict after their selection for Special Forces training and their subsequent admission into the Fascist Special Operations Force (FSOF). The crew of the newly commissioned fleet were at full red alert, being prepared for anything.

Admiral Harper, Commander of the Fascist Nationalist Navy, stood on the bridge of the FNS Destructor, the present flagship of the fleet.

’Sir, the Island of Tigria is coming into view now, about 10 miles straight ahead.’ Captain Hammond cried across the room.

‘Pass the binoculars here then, so I might see our destination.’ The Admiral said, in a noble voice, as he walked across the room. He lifted up the binoculars and looked to where the Captain pointed.

’Captain, broadcast to all the vessels in the fleet. Prepare the forces for battle, we’ll be within range in an hour.’

The Fascist Nationalist forces are anchored around 1/2 mile from the Tigrian coast. We would like to ask if there are any ports, etc where we may dock to unload our troops, as at present we have no landers, just transport helecoptors, which we are unable to use due to the intel we have on hidden SAM sites. If there are no docks, please may you request any of the other liberation forces to assist us by sending enough landers for 600 troops + equipment.

Also, we would like to request shelter at any of your camps, preferably close to the capital city, where the FSOF troops can use their urban terrain skills to scout out and attack the enemy supply lines from behind their frontline troops, or in mountainous or woodland terrain, where we can use guerilla tactics to scout out for enemy forces and then silently "take care" of them.

We await your reply.

Admiral Harper looked over the message he had just recieved from Cnl Tiger, the leader of the Militia and Leader of Tigria before the terrorists had attacked.

'Captain, order all troops to the landing craft. Head towards the nearest beach, and then meet with Cnl Tiger's mobile convoy. You can use your skills to scout ahead, and make sure that any terrorist patrols you encounter are taken care of.' the Admiral stated down the comm-link.

'Yes sir, Admiral.' came the reply 'We will be leaving within 20 minutes.'

Harper stood at the window of the bridge, seeing the FSOF troops marching, as if on a parade ground, into their allocated craft. He picked up the loadspeaker comm-unit.

'Men, I know that this is your first tour of duty, and that many of you must be scared. However, you have trained for years to do your job, and you are the best that the Federation has to offer. Go across to Tigria, find those terrorists, and grind their scummy arses into the dust!!!'

The troops shouted in excitement, any fear of death gone in a few seconds because of the Admiral's awe enspiring declaration.

Harper replaced the comm-unit, and watched the landing craft on all the ships under his command lower into the choppy water, and felt his breast swell with pride as they started the half mile journey to Tigria.
