The Imperial Roycelandian Government has issued an advisory to all Camel Eaters residents visiting the Roycelandian Empire that all use of 1337 is STRICTLY forbidden in public, and penalties range from fines to 3 months imprisonment for serious offences.

Bear in mind that the Linguistic Purity Laws don't cover communications between consenting, private individuals- so using l337 in your hotel room or whatever is fine, but trying to fill in your Hotel Registration Card in l337 will get you in trouble....

There are all different levels of it, #337 (master way), l33t (normal), |33t (dumb way). Though all are fine!

Omicron Alpha has no opinion of this. Typically, people do not speak 'leet' here due to the fact that it is not profitable to do so. Nor would it be profitable to recognise such a language. Nor would it be profitable to try and use such a language as a marketing tool. I suppose a form of 'leet' soft drinks or junk food could attract their interest, but nobody's attempted such a thing. For the most part, people who use that sort of language seriously, actually live on the internet, requiring only food from the outside world. We have been unable to find any viable market there.

If this hampers businesses in some way, however, for example throwing up language barriers that have no purpose, we shall take a dim view of it. We shall let time see what the implications of this absurd development are.

I must remind your citizens that speaking 1337 in my country is strictly forbidden and often replied to with beatings or death. This is not because of any official policy, but because the locals hate it, are heavily armed by government mandate, and seem to have the inability to remember the phone number of the police. Tell all of your citizens that, for their own protection, they are not to use that language in my nation.
Not that it matters anyway, as the language they are speaking is pretty much incomprehensible to everyone else anyway.
