Important Comminque to the International Community.
The Technocracy of Sharina is beginning construction on the Veris-Wall, which is essentially a high-tech Great Wall that will stretch along every border Sharina has throughout its holdings in Earth II, IV, and V.
Sharina Prime (Home Earth of Sharina)
Sharina Alpha = Earth V
Sharina Beta = Earth IV (Whittier's Earth IV)
Sharina Gamma = Earth II
*Sharina Prime is Sharina's home Earth, however not its original Earth. In the 1970's Sharina engaged in testing of Quantum particles, and through a series of events, Sharina was translocated into a parallel Universe. The new Earth is now Sharina's home, and that universe is full of magical energies and magic users. Sharina is the only technology nation on that Earth, as it has ecountered Shannara, Middle Earth, and Hyrule (Zelda fame) continents on its new Earth.
Sharina Colony Holdings:
Sharina Alpha = California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Alaska, West Mexico, and East Mexico.
Sharina Beta = Maine, Mass, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Rhode Island, Conn, New Jersey, Pennslyvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
Sharina Gamma = Colorado, New Mexico, Nebraska, Senegal, Gambia, western half of Guinea, Guinea Bissau, and northern half of Anarctica.
Sharina is now in the process of building the Veris-Wall, which is a solid concrete and steel wall approximately 75 feet tall and 25 feet wide. It will employ its own anti-ground and anti-air defenses to combat any forces that may attempt to cross over into Sharina's holdings.
The wall defenses are comprised of the following:
1. 30 mm COIL anti-aircraft cannons. They will be spaced approximately 150 meters apart throughout the Wall.
2. 20 mm Microwave Laser turrets to heat up incoming bombs and missiles, destroying them, as well as providing a SDI defense aganist nuke missiles. These turrets are spaced approximately 300 meters apart alongside the Wall.
3. Anti-aircraft SAM type of launchers, spaced 600 meters apart alongside the Wall.
4. 200 mm COIL anti-armor cannon turrets spaced approximately 600 meters apart along the Wall.
5. 50 mm anti-vehicle turrets spaced approximately 300 meters apart along the Wall. These turrets are meant to destroy APC's, supply trucks, light tanks, troop trucks, and so forth.
6. 10 mm Machine Gun Emplacements arrayed every 75 meters along the Wall.
7. Four sets of barbed wire running along the top of the Wall, and three sets of barbed wire running along ths front side of the Wall to discourage enemy troops from scaling the wall.
8. A 60 foot deep and 30 foot wide trench in front of the Wall to deter tanks, vehicles, and troops from rushing the Wall. The trench may be filled with water or mud to add to the difficulty of storming the Veris-Wall.
9. Underground railroads to supply ammunition, food, and supplies to the defensive platforms on the Wall.
10. Radar, SQUID, Infrared, Sonar, and assorted sensor platforms will be located several kilometers away from the Wall. These installations will be guarded by approximately 50 batteries of AA defenses per sensor station. These sensor stations will be spaced approximately 50 kilometers from each other along the contour of the Veris-Wall to provide maximum coverage.
11. Massive 2-kilometer wide fortresses will be built approximately 150 kilometers apart alongside the Wall to store supplies, house the Veris-Wall's personnel, and provide additional firepower to repel invasions.
This project is expected to cost over 10 trillion dollars, and will require approximately 15 - 20 years to complete. Sharina will devote approximately 25% of its defense budget each year towards the Veris-Wall Project, as well as pulling additional funds from its civilian budget to cover the expenses of such a massive project. Once complete, it would make crossing the Sharina border extremely difficult, if not impossible. Invasion forces would suffer massive casaulties in an attempt to overcome the Veris-Wall, much like the Germans avoided fighting the Maignot Line of the French during World War II.
The Sharina Veris-Wall will be a scaled up version of the Maignot Line and employing a high tech version of the Great Wall of China.

The Veris-Wall won't be built, as there are no NS nations existing in Sharina Prime.
Sharina Alpha:
Alaska - Yukon border at the Arctic Sea, all the way down along Sharina's border to the Texas - Mexico border right at the Gulf of Mexico. The Wall will also be built along the Guatemala - Honduras border.
Sharina Beta:
Maine - Canada border all the way down to Florida - Alabama border.
Sharina Gamma:
Fully enclose Colorado, Nebraska, and New Mexico. Senegal, Gambia, western half of Guinea, and Guinea Bissau will also be enclosed by the Veris-Wall. However, the Wall will not be built in Anarctica, as the extremely cold weather there will do the job just as well.
