Schism: The Second RB Civil War

Roach-Busters
14-11-2004, 22:50
East Island, 50 Miles Northeast of Doomingsland Military Base

In a dimly lit room, the generals assembled and sat in their designated seats to be addressed, as a silence fell over the room. At the head of the long table, General Gilbert Golbez stood, his massive shadow towering over them. He stood at an impressive 6'5", weighed over 250 lb., and had a scrupulously waxed blond mustache, a meticulously shaved, hairless, pointed chin, fuzzy muttonchop sideburns, a long aquiline nose, glassy blue eyes like painted marbles, thick, bushy, slanted eyebrows that always looked like they were frowning, a gleaming bald head, a flat six-packed abdomen, a barrel-shaped chest, and muscular arms. He had long, tapered fingers and iron-hard, work-grimed fists capable of rendering a man unconscious with one swift blow. His uniform was decorated with virtually every medal and military honor ever conceived. In terms of both physical stature and military rank, he was the tallest man in the room.
"What did you call us here for, Golbez?" griped General Edmund Warfield. Although he and Golbez were cordial toward one another in public, neither really trusted the other.
"President J.L. can no longer be trusted," Golbez announced in his stern, raspy, booming voice. His face contorted into an expression of enmity, his eyes narrowing as they glittered with malice. "We must act in our best interest to save our country."
"Save our country?" echoed another general, repeating the words as if he had never heard them before. "What do you m-"
"J.L. is too dangerous. He is a deceptive, opportunistic traitor, an utter disgrace to this magnificent land for which scores of generations have bled, killed, and died to ensure the survival of. He has undermined centuries of our most cherished traditional values, threatening the very existence of our fair land. He is a menace."
The generals all exchanged skeptical glances, stared vacantly at Golbez for a few seconds, and burst out laughing, like a bunch of drunks in a bar who have just heard a particularly witty dirty joke.
Golbez glowered, weighing them down with his hawk-like, predatory gaze, until they regained their composure and silenced themselves.
"J.L. has desecrated our beautiful flag," Golbez continued. "To think that he, a great hero who liberated our country from the yoke of communism, only to begin coddling leftists, bending over backwards to win communists' praise, and coexist with those subhuman scumbags." He briefly summarized some of J.L.'s recent decisions, such as the legalization of the RB Communist Party, the release of all communists from prison, amnesty to communists, reparations to the families of communists who had been tortured or killed, and President J.L.'s steadfast efforts to maintain benign relations with the Marxist nations of the world. "Communism has erased millions of lives in RB alone, and hundreds of millions more worldwide! It is a scourge, a plague, an endemic virus which has infected the minds of billions, and caused incalculable suffering, vastly beyond our realms of comprehension! J.L. has witnessed its barbarity firsthand, even lost his family to it, and yet now he wants 'friendship,' 'reconciliation,' and all that hogwash. He is clearly no longer interested in our security. Appeasement and cowardice are his government's norm."
Golbez cleared his throat and continued.
"Moreover, J.L.'s purported patriotism is but a hoax," he said. "In spite of all his pro-RB fervor, he has illegally entangled our nations in our conflicts than I can count, squandered our hard-working taxpayers' money aiding other nations during crises of no concern to us, and even permits those mongrels to maintain military bases and armed forces in our country!" By now Golbez was nearly shouting. "Now, we have this odious 'Southeast Asia Treaty Organization,' which drastically erodes our sovereignty, undermines our security, and even allows coddling of communists. J.L. has gone too far this time. He is a despicable and uncaring man. He has degraded RB to a level that it can no longer be rightfully called 'RB.' Which is why I invited you gentlemen here."
Golbez placed a document on the table. He handed the general next to him a pen. "Sign your name on the bottom if you are with me, and then pass it down," he instructed.
Without a word, the general scribbled his signature and passed it on. A few minutes later, the document reached General Warfield, who paused and looked over it, pondering whether or not to sign.
"What will it be, Warfield?" Golbez asked.
Warfield stood. "No," he said, standing firm and maintaining eye contact with Golbez, refusing to budge an inch. "This is treason. Whatever J.L.'s faults may be, he is a decent, patriotic, honest man, and I cannot betray him. My country, right or wr-"
Warfield slumped to the ground, dropping to his knees and collapsing face-first onto the floor after the bullet burrowed into his forehead and pierced his brain. Smoke emanated from his head and engulfed the air above him.
Putting away his smoking revolver, Golbez pocketed the document and said, "So, it is agreed then, gentlemen, that we shall secede?"
No one spoke. Everyone nodded mutely.
Golbez grinned. The grin was wry, callous, and cynical. "Splendid," he said. "I shall mail this to 'President' J.L.' right away."

Department of Diplomacy, RB City

Chong Moua had just put on his coat when his fax machine began beeping. He snatched the sheet of paper from it and began leafing through it, hastily scanning its contents. When he did, he was so overwhelmed by shock that his knees buckled, his hand became numb, and his cup of coffee slipped from his fingers, crashing to the ground and disintegrating upon contact, shattering to hundreds of pieces. He stared vacantly at the wall, dazed, disorientated, and light-headed. A few minutes later, he snapped back to attention, ran over to the phone, and began dialing.

Presidential Palace, RB City (One hour later)

President J.L. scanned the document. It read, in part:

To us has been afforded the courage to stand steadfast in firm and confront the evils of appeasement, cowardice, and treachery. To us has been granted the privilege to secede from this now-tainted land and forge Roach-Busters anew, bringing forth a new Roach-Busters based on the ideals envisioned, embraced, and practiced by our founders. A Roach-Busters that rejects the doctrines of appeasement of communism, entangling alliances, interventionism and adventurism abroad, and undermining of security and sovereignty at home. We hereby claim the East Island sovereign territory of our new political organization, the Roach-Busters First Party. The East Island is now an independent nation governed by us, and guided by the hand of God. When time goes by, history will vindicate us, and future historians will agree unanimously that we were right. We are sorry we must go, but enough is enough. Farewell.

"Damn it," J.L. muttered, balling his hands into tight, clenched fists. For once, he was at a loss of words, unable to string a coherent sentence together, unable to voice his thoughts. He could do nothing but repeat once again, "Damn it."
"Sir?" Moua asked. "Sir, w-what should we do?"
"I don't know," J.L. said. "Military action would not look good from a global perspective. Let, letting them secede without a word of protest would show indecisiveness and cowardice. And yet...how do we know what sort of government they will form? What of the Doomingsland base on East Island soil? What if they feel compelled to extend their reach further, adding additional islands to their collection, until we are left with nothing? Damn it... resolving this without bloodshed is going to border on the impossible."
"Why not deploy a small contingent of troops to the island to capture Golbez and his collaborators?" Moua suggested.
"Maybe. But we don't know how dangerous he is. What if he retaliates against our intervention by attacking innocent citizens? We can't risk losing any innocent lives."
"As you said, sir, it will be nearly impossible to resolve this without losing any lives," Moua said.
"I know...I just..." He thought carefully. "Mr. Moua, call Lester at the Department of War. I want all our troops on full alert. Tomorrow, I will convene a meeting with Congress to discuss a possible blockade."

East Island, General Golbez's Headquarters

"I am counting on you, General Adams," Golbez said. "I expect every Doomingslandian weeded out of that base by tomorrow morning, and the base to be completely dismantled. Take no prisoners. Resort not to handcuffs, but to bullets. Their presence has sealed their doom."
"Yes, sir," Adams said, and left to begin mobilizing his squadron.
"And you," Golbez said, turning to another general. "Prepare for the invasion of the Northeast Island. I'll be expecting results."
"Yes, sir."

To be continued...

Ft. Aulus, Roach-Busters

It was a fairly normal day at the marine base of Ft. Aulus, the men had bayonet practice on criminals that they purchased from random countries, gunned down pidgeons with .50 caliber machineguns, and ate the remains. The typical Doomingslandian.

There was an entire Marine Division stationed on the large base complex, 20,000 men strong, along with attack helicopters, fighters, and armored vehicles.

A massive steel reinforced concrete wall surrounded the base, which was mostly below ground. Machineguns were hidden throughout the area, in addition to anti-tank positions. Most of this was out of sheer paranoia. It pays to be paranoid sometimes.

The base commander was a hardened general by the name of Marius Julianus. He had fought in many wars, and claimed his fair share of skulls along the way. He would prove a difficult opponent for the rebel forces about to attack the base, which was already on a heightened state of alert due to the war in Sovieten.

Like veteran hunters, the secessionist troops slowly, stealthily, and silently crept through the jungle from all different directions, encircling the Doomingslandian base.
"We must proceed with caution," General Adams said. "Doomingslandians are absolutely merciless in battle. They strive for nothing short of total victory, regardless of the expenditure in lives. They're battle-hardened, always on their guard, and armed to the teeth. This ain't gonna be easy."
He radioed the coordinates to the other parties, gave the signal, and over fifty M1A4 "King Abrams" tanks rolled into view and began pummeling the wall around the base with firepower, bombarding it with a barrage of powerful blasts, as hundreds of screaming, rampaging troops ran madly, rashly, and ballistically toward the base, armed with HSM Submachine Guns, HSR-40A Sniper Rifles, Tavor Assault Rifles, Negev Light Machine Guns, and other deadly weapons. They launched an all-out, no-holds-barred assault, charging toward the base with nothing on their minds but the pleasing thought of dying a bloody death, surrounded by the moldering corpses of their fallen enemies.

Hello, Skar, old friend. I have a job for you. It will be arduous, incredibly dangerous, risky, and more formidable than any other challenge you have ever faced during your career. A lesser man could not accomplish this mission. You are perhaps the only man skillful enough to accomplish this. Your objective is the assassination of General Gilbert Golbez. It won't be easy. He has over 100,000 troops, including tens of thousands surrounding his headquarters, a small but lethal airforce, and squadrons of tanks, antiaircraft artillery, and much more. Should you succeed, I will pay you the sum of one trillion dollars. Please notify me if you are interested.

"My fellow Inkanans. Today an act of treason was commited against one of our closest allies, Roach-Busters. This is not something we shall stand for. I have asked Defense Council to send manpower and material to RB, the decision took no longer than 2 hours. As you hear this one hundred C-56 Transports are bringing the 3rd Imperial Parabrigade along with weapons to Roach-Busters. We must tell these rebels that we are not weak, democracies like RB and Inkana will not stand for such acts of Treason. Good night, and Allah Bless."

Ft. Aulus

The thick concrete walls held for a few hours, long enough for the men manning them to pull back to better positions. A few were killed when the walls collapsed. When the rebels entered the base, they'd initialy find it empty. Or was it?

Suddenly, fire from concealed bunkers errupted, filling the gap in the wall with lead. The M1A4s were met with fire from M10A1 Imperators. The weak 120mm ETC rounds from the King would be no match, especialy since there were 100 more Imperators than Kings. The massive 145mm shells flew from the tanks, colliding with the M1A4s. A contingent of M11 Legionnaries also layed down fire on the gap, pouring thousands of 25mm HEI rounds from their GAU12 gattling guns.

Over 20,000 marines poured all of their fire on the gap, making advancing nearly impossible, especialy with all of the mines planted. If any rebel was unfortunate enough to advance beyond that carnage, he would be impaled by several marines with bayonets, decapitated, and his head thrown at his comrades. Only a small number of marines were initialy killed.

"Oh, sh**, retreat!"
Nearly choking with panic, the rebels turned tail and fled, scrambling out of there as quickly as they could. One of them tripped, and was immediately trampled to death by hordes of his scurrying comrades. Another stepped on a mine, activating it and generating an explosion that sent limbs flying and blood spurting everywhere. All around them lay bloody, mutilated, dying allies, as well as hundreds of dead rebels. These Doomingslandians were clearly not the kind of people you wanted to f*** with.
"Damn it, call in an air strike!" bellowed General Adams.
Minutes later, 25 of each of the following took flight and began their journey to the Doomingslanian base to launch their counterattack: SZ-1 "Vulture" fighter aircraft; F-102 "Numen VI" ZFighter Jet; F/A-91B "Savage" Multi-Role Aircraft; Skyshark SZ-3; F3000 “Rapier” Air Superiority Fighter; and F/A-32 Tomahawk Advanced Tactical Fighter Aircraft.

He then put the paper down and burrowed his face into his hands. He then sent a telegram to RB.

Army Chief Hal Luxton monitored the reports coming in of the second Civil War in Roach-Busters.

"Damn them," Luxton muttered. General Antonius Santius, a former Sancaphrax Army general who was advising the Sarzonian army and served as a liaison between the rank-and-file in uniform and the suits in the soon-to-be military command complex in Saugerties walked up to Luxton.

"What's wrong Hal?"

"There's another civil war over in Roach-Busters. Seems J.L.'s in over his head. Again."

"No time to panic, Hal."

"We've only got 7,500 troops and a few tanks over there. We just finished rebuilding our base over there that damn Ruskin demolished."

"Seventy five hundred troops that have been newly trained and equipped," Santius reminded Luskin. He wasn't hired to revitalize the Sarzonian army for nothing. His training methods and his dialogue with Vice President for Defense John Newman led to a massive influx of new equipment and training for an army that lagged behind the Navy for a long time.

"Who's commanding over there," Santius asked.

"Colonel Ruth Hunt," Luxton replied.

Santius grimaced. Hunt had little combat experience, but then again, only Lt. General Dent had much combat experience, and that was battling Branwynian rebels. And his exploits weren't that successful until the Granzian army and Mauiwowean forces came into the picture. He figured Hunt would have to do.

"Very well. We're going to have to figure out how to get our army some combat experience somehow," Santius said. "Now's as good a time as any."

Luxton grimaced. For a consultant, Santius knew how to push his buttons to get him to do what the foreign-born general wanted.

"All right. I'll call J.L."

He called the Roach-Busters president and told him the army and Colonel Hunt would be on the way to offer their help. She had 500 D-15 StormForce tanks and some of the hand-held missile launchers they began to develop after capturing some of the Branwynian rebel launchers. She would take the Sarzonian army into combat and hopefully begin to make a name for the army that was similar to the one the navy already had.

HP missiles skidded through the air, crashing into the rebel jets with meticulous accuracy. Explosions lit up the sky like fireworks, and damaged jets tumbled to the earth and skidded across the ground, running over enemy soldiers before bursting into flames and raining debris everywhere, producing even more fire. Flames scorched the tall grass and spread rapidly. The two opposing forces both exchanged shots, as massive explosions rocketed the air and filled the sky with billowing clouds of smoke. Another RB jet was hit, and it spiralled through the air like a top, before plummeting to the ground in a sea of flames.

((OOC: Let's pretend the fleet is already there. And if you want to know how much a Rosian Fleet has, look at my Factbook :) ))

The 1st Rosian Fleet. Flagship, the CRS Rose of course. One of the fleets fully prepared to assualt anyone and anything. Now, the strange thing is that these ships are completely of Hamptonian design. Ironic isn't it? It doesn't matter, it was one of the best damn ships in the world. Well, according to the Rosian Naval Command anyway. The Admiral of this grand fleet? Admiral Wilhem von Sturgem. Fitting that a German leads it isn't it?

The carriers were abuzz with activity. Half of the R/F-91s on top of the CRS Rose were already taking off to provide patrols around the fleet. 10 of the R/B-91s aboard the CRS Rose were armed with one giant Napalm bomb and four 500 pounders.

They took off towards the forest surrounding the embattled Doomlandian Fort. The Rosian Bombers were about to do something they could never do to their own Island, burn down a forest.

"This is B-5 to Rose, we have the forest on target, we are preparing to drop our payload... now." The Napalm bombs were released on the peaceful forest. It burned, and it burned all right. The other 4 bombs on each R/B-91 were released on various rebel armor pieces. Such as those fancy King Abrams.

The R/F-91s on patrol, around 16 of them, spotted enemy aircraft. They were armed with standard 4 Sidewinders and one small bomb. Never knew when you had to bomb something.

"Well well, these rebels want to mess with us? Eat snake!" The pilot released a sidewinder towards one of the enemy aircraft and the other R/F-91s proceeded to do the same one the other aircraft.

"HP Aircraft this F-1. Go back to your Destroyers, we have over 100 planes we can handle this. But if you want to help, it'd be much appreciated." A small chuckle. "Over."

The ocean was busy also. Every big ship, including battleships, cruisers, and destroyers, were ordered to blockade the Island so that enemy forces wouldn't enter or leave. It would begin.

Yes it would.

Please refrain from bombing the cities. I want to minimize civilian casualties. We believe there may be a hidden rebel base in the southeastern tip of the island. Hunt looked at the situation grimly. She had a full 9,000 troops at the base, but 1,500 were considered a skeleton crew needed to ensure the safety of Sarzonia's base in Roach-Busters. She also realized her forces had very little in the way of pure combat experience, and the most experienced troops in the Sarzonian army were in Branwyn and were likely exhausted from a protracted war.

"Looks like it's up to us," she told Major Deanna Grevey, her second in command.

"I guess so," Grevey responded. "Listen, we're going to have to affect the outcome of this without resorting to a pure firefight."

"No shit, Sherlock," Hunt said sarcastically.

"Bear with me for a moment Ruth," Grevey said. "We've got a good set of special ops people, do we not?"

Hunt thought for a moment. "Yes, and?"

"Why don't we use them to disrupt rebel supply lines and power supplies and that will eventually wear them down and force them to fight for their survivals or die trying."

Hunt slapped her forehead with her left hand. Why didn't I think of that, she thought.

"I see your point. I think we're going to have to do that but then be prepared in the event they find our position and attack."

"Already thought of that," Grevey said. "What we do is we take 1,500 of our troops who are particularly well trained in special ops and find their key supply lines. Have them attack the lines with the hand-held missile launchers and set up about 50 StormForces ready to support them with heavy fire. Hopefully, they'll think they're facing a much larger force and we'll get a surprise kill."

"I like your thinking Dee," Hunt said. "Perhaps we can add some snipers in various positions to make it look like we're coming at them from several directions at once."

"Exactly," Grevey said.

The troops began their trek toward the site that satellite images told them would be where the key supply lines to the rebels would be located. They set up shop with the tanks as well-camoflagued as possible and with snipers holding rifles and hand-held missile launchers ready to wreak havoc on the supply lines.

"Here they come," a corporal whispered to Hunt.

"Steady, steady." The supply convoy slowly emerged into view. She realized her window of opportunity was narrow and she had to take advantage of her chances at once.

"Fire!"

The troops unleashed their fire aimed toward the supply convoy, while the snipers took aim at the soldiers providing an escort. The hand-held missile launchers targeted the armored vehicles, while the tanks did the same. They hoped to force the surrender of the supply convoy and then take the supplies back to the base.

"All right see ya boys. This is F-1 to Rose, we'll need some 35s out here, about 10."

Silence, then a response. "All right, careful with them. We had to steal them from the American Government."

F-1 chuckled. "Yeah yeah. Just send them over."

10 F-35s, coming from various Roska Class Carriers, flew over to the other 10 R/F-91s on patrol. They would support them. And like the R/F-91 they were armed with 4 Sidewinders and a small bomb. Just for this patrol of course. Never knew what could happen.

Meanwhile the 10 R/B-91s that rained destruction upon the forest returned to the CRS Rose. 5 R/B-91s, escorted by 10 R/F-1s would fly towards southeastern East Island to see if there really was a base. After a few minutes, since the Island was so small, the group, now labeled "FB Group", arrived.

"This is F-11 to Rose. I don't see any base."

Silence. "Exactly. It's hidden. F-11, instruct your fighters not the bombers to drop their bombs. We might able to see any activity confirming there's a base."

"All right, out. F Squad, drop your 500 pounders on the following coordinates. We'll see if there's a base here or not, over and out."

The 10 R/F-91s escorting the 5 R/B-91s dropped their small 500 pounders on the supposed base. If it works, it could lure out any activity from the area.

"Affirmative."

Fifty M11 Air Defence Vehicles came online, and began peppering away at the fighters with their 25mm gattling guns, and launching stinger missiles. Each of them had 8 stingers each, and would be more than a match for the rebel airforce. However, a few of the fighters got through, and two bunkers went up in flames as bombs slammed into them. The tanks then surged forward, running over the fleeing rebels, firing into the retreating mass with 7.62mm miniguns, and .50 gattling guns mounted on remote gun pods. Legionarrie IFVs also came in along side them, spraying into the mass of rebels with 25mm gattling guns, while the air defence vehicles continued to cover the advance. Any wounded rebels unfortunate enough to be found by the marines were dragged over to a large area where more prisoners were held to await a gruesome fate.

As the allied jets from TIOF began slaughtering the rebel aircraft, HP soldiers continued fighting as enemy and friendly aircraft crashed into the ground. Almost the whole battlefield was covered with wreckage or dead men. "God, 10,000 soldiers isn't going to enough in this war. We need more men," the commander of the HP forces thought as he watched the battle from the infirmary nearby. He decided to telegram President J.L. and ask him to give President Holtz permission to send at the most 20,000 more troops along with artillary, air, and naval support:

The 1st Parainfantry Regiment has been taught by the ROK 'Tiger' Division after the Vietnam war ended, they have a wealth of knowledge in COIN operations.

Three hours into the patrol, the men heard a crack, they thought a tree branch had falled, but soon the entire foresst was filled with gunfire.

"Hit the dirt!"
Already there were shouts of:
"Medic!" and "Corpsman up!"
But the platoon fought on, small as they might have been, they were special forces, and they knew their stuff. Finally the 1st Platoon arrived to reinforce the 2nd, and they drove the Insurgents back.

The carnage......its....its horrible. I've seen the blood of my friends and allies along with my enemies spilled onto the ground together by the bullets of M16s, M60s, shrapenel, explosions, and the impact of shot down airplanes. I can't take it. I've already killed 3 men. I feel both proud yet disgusted with myself. My God, why do we have to hate each other to the point that we go to war with each other. He looked at the report. Many powerful nations were already helping, and surely victory was in sight. "Send a T-Boat Division, maybe an Aegir Division? But I want something in the waters, not their territorial borders, but international coastal borders, close as you can get. I also want the President of each aiding nation and R.B. themselves contacted with my propossal." She looked at him. "You, well, we, have had no past relations but a confretation with thier President when the Zoogies had thier two billion population party. And even then you two ended up shooting potatoes and cheese at each other." She smiled at saying that. "Hell, send them the propossals, if seventy five percent or more says they could any support in the waters, or even air or special operations, we will go in, and of cource, get R.B.'s accepting note also." "Looks like it's up to us," she told Major Deanna Grevey, her second in command.

"Goddamnit!" Golbez bellowed, brandishing his fists and flailing them about wildly, roaring savagely like a famished tiger at the sight of a deer. He was brimming with vehement, unadulterated rage, nearly berserk with fury. His face contorted into the expression of a severely constipated man, as he gritted his teeth and his flesh assumed the color of a plum. The vein in his forehead bulged prominently and profusely. His hands clenched into fists, clenching so tight that there was a loud crrackkk sound.
"General Golbez, sir, calm down!"
"Befuddled by a motley assortment of foreign interventionists? Those pitiful wretches," Golbez muttered. "For having the gall to fail me, they deserve whatever horrors the Doomingslandians inflict upon them. For losing, the only outcome acceptable for them is bloody death."
"Sir, we've managed to take Seaside City. The police and National Guardsmen barely put up a fight. Moreover, most of them surrendered and defected to our side, after they saw what we did to some of the civilian population. That means we now have an extra 17,000 plus men, in addition to thousands of handguns, rifles, etc., and hundreds of police cars and armored personnel carriers. They're preparing to launch a counterattack on the Doomingslandian base. Since most of the foreigners are located on East Island, we'll send down our new men, lure them deeper into the heart of the island, then call in our naval units to surround them, and, as soon as they surrender, our jets'll bomb the f***ers to Kingdom Come!"

"Over."

Can you reply to this in specific?

The rebel King Abrams tanks melted like plastic as they were devoured whole by searing flames. Clusters of napalm bombs drizzled down from the sky like raindrops, generating explosions immediately upon contacting the ground, trees, or whatever. Rebel troops screamed hysterically as they were barbequed by the Rosian onslaught. Many of them were reduced to moldering, scorched ashes in minutes. Many of them blew their own heads off to end the pain as quickly as others. A large percentage of them, upon witnessing the demolition of their allies, wisely signalled to the Rosians that they surrendered.

Wilhem chuckled when he heard the report. "Excellent. Send all available transport helicopters and planes to pick up those who surrendered. You know, like ROH-1s (Blackhawks), RCH-1s (Chinooks), Ospreys and RCCP-1s."

An R/F-91 was sent to the the burning forest. It did a scouting run around the forest once. Yet it stayed there. Well, those were the orders anyway.

"This is F-9 to D-Base, say thank you because we just prevented you from getting overcome." A laugh. "Over. Wait let me talk to the Rose here." A few seconds. "This is F-9 to Rose, new orders?"

Silence, wait a response. "Yeah, we're sending 9 R/F-91s to join you in the immediate vicinity. We need you guys to guard the oncoming aircraft that'll take the RB Rebels outta here."

He chuckled. "All right..."

And so, 9 other R/F-91s joined the lone fighter near the burning forest. They would protect the oncoming transport aircraft.

Wilhem smirked. "Have you heard the report Gonnen? Seaburg is rebel held terrortory now. We have every bomber ready to go and this blockade can only make it easier. All we have in the air now are the 10 R/F-91s, of course."

Gonnen Ross, his adviser nodded. "Yes Admiral. Do you want a request to bombard the city?"

Wilhem sighed. "Yes yes... also, order 10 R/B-91s to take off and any ships near Seaburg City to point their cannons in its general direction."

Gonnen nodded. "Yes Admiral. Do I foward the response to our allies?"

Wilhem rolled his eyes. "Of course, now go."

Gonnen gave the standard beating of his heart with his right fist Rosian Salute and left. Bastard, I'll get him one day. he thought as he left.

And so, 10 R/B-91s took off from the CRS Rose, armed with 4 1,000 pound bombs and a Napalm Bomb, they were ordered to bombard Seaburg City in case the order was given. And who knows, maybe the order would be given.

From The Rosian First Fleet-To President J.L.

Admiral Wilhem von Stergum requests to bombard Seaburg City due to the
fact that it is now Rebel Terrortory. We have 10 operational bombers in the
sky ready to go as soon as you give the order. We also have our ships ready
to bombard the city. All we need is your approval.

The men were hungry for even more revenge. They had captured 12 rebel soldiers, and had dragged them into the base. At the center of the base was a hill, on it were twelve steel crosses. The men were dragged to their place of death in chains, and tied to their crosses with piano wire, ensuring an extremely painful death. They were lifted up, and the crosses now stood in a great circle facing outward, so they would feel alone during their painful deaths. The soldiers stood around jeering the tourtured men, who would take several hours to die...

"Christ, I can't believe we got captured by a buncha goddamn commies," one of the hostages muttered sullenly, sounding utterly disgusted, as if he had just treaded across a field littered with clumps of elephant feces.

"Hey, at least now we know J.L. really is a traitor, if he's having pinkoes help him. What a little bitch! He goes whining to the international asshole friends of his, I guess we're just toooooo much for him!" a second hostage said in a whiny falsetto, and burst out laughing, laughing so hard that spittle flew everywhere and his cheeks flushed scarlet. He shrieked like a hyena whose [you know] was being tickled.

"Hey, Rosian bastards! What're ya gonna do t' us?" the first hostage shouted. "Gonna make us go throu' one o' your Marxist-Leninist gangster brainwashing sessions? Castrate us? Hang us upside down f'r a couple o' years? What?"

"Yeah." The Pilot said. "Apprently, Barney and Friends can kill foreigners."

The Co-Pilot chuckled. "Sissies. Anyway, I don't know what they got planned for you, but it'll be bad."

One of the guards inside the Osprey smirked. He was holding an RAR-1C in hand and looked at the three prisoners. "Don't worry these guys are tough. Oops, you surrendered and tried to run like babies. You should've shot yourself. Don't go acting so tough when you know you're captured." He pointed to the guard across him. "Barney and Friends?" one of the hostages gasped in a choked, hoarse, dry voice. His eyes bulged to enormous proportions, his jaw dropped, and all the blood drained from his face. He was literally so pale he made snow look like charcoal. His body temperature plummeted to a dangerously low level. His body trembled and convulsed spasmodically, as if he had Parkinson's disease. The terror which seeped into his heart was so profound it nearly induced a myocardial infarction. "D-D-Did you say...Barney and Friends? Jesus Christ Almighty, what kinda f***ing monsters are you!?"

17-11-2004, 01:35
Hunt smiled when she saw the results of her first live military campaign. The Sarzonian regulars acquitted themselves well against an admittedly overmatched foe. While the rebels suffered over 2,000 casualties, including just under 1,000 fatalities, her army suffered nine dead and 12 wounded. The plan to launch a sneak attack worked to perfection.

She walked up to the three prisoners her forces managed to capture with a commanding gait that befit a four star general who had just won a major victory.

"What do we have here," she asked theatrically. "Three poor, miserable souls who thought they could pull one over on us, eh?" The men struggled to stand and the guards who restrained each of them shoved their rifles into their backs.

"So what do you snot-nosed punks have to say for yourselves? Hmm?"

The man standing in the middle straighted up and grimaced. He wanted to call Hunt every name in the book, but he knew that he'd be taking his life into his hands if he did. He snarled.

"What's the matter? All of a sudden, you don't look so big and bad when you've got hot lead ready to be pumped into your back, do you? I've got a few questions for you. Question number one, what the hell was the purpose behind this stunt?"

"President J.L. is a traitor," the man said in an earnest voice, trying hard to sound authoritative in spite of the helpless condition he and his men found themselves in. "He has dishonored the great country of Roach-Busters."

"There'll be a time for your editorializing," Hunt sneered. "But right now, I want facts. If I don't get them, you'll get what's coming to you."

"And you'll get what's coming to you," a 18 year old private who was to the left of the leader of the prisoners. "The Woodstock Convention--"

"I know all about the Woodstock Convention," Hunt yelled. "I believe I know a lot more about it than you do, little man." She walked over to the man-child, sizing him up. He's a cutie, she thought. What a shame. She looked and saw Grevey scowling at her. She knew exactly what Grevey was going to say.

"Take the prisoners back to the brig at our base," Hunt said, directing her order to her troops. "We'll deal with them there." As the men were roughly lead to the transport that would take them to their cells, Hunt looked at Grevey.

"He's right about the Woodstock Convention, you know," Grevey said.

"I know he is," Hunt replied. "But the Constitution is suspended right now for Sarzonian citizens. I think under those circumstances, I can get away with a little bending of the rules."

"No, you can't Colonel," came another voice. Captain Harvey Benson, the division's legal expert walked up with the code outlined from the Woodstock Convention. "Article XVI, Section 8, Clause C clearly states that a suspension of the Constitution does not apply to the terms of the Woodstock Convention."

Hunt sighed. Still, the information they needed about the rebel movement was highly important and she was determined to get as much out of the three men as she could. She knew she'd have to do it from the confines of their base.

Hunt opened her communications device, choosing to leave the signal open so that the three prisoners could hear her orders.

"Get the Britney Spears concert videos ready for our prisoners. If that won't make them talk, nothing will."

Because right now, the R/B-91s are right over Seaburg City, and the bombing would begin.

President Sergei read of the threat against his life. His response? "Meh."

And so, he took out an M60, set up the bipod, put it on his desk and pointed it towards the door. Yes the curtains were closed. "Let's see them get past this."

CRS Roska

The prisoners, around 100 of them, were escorted to their jail cells. Sailors rolled thier eyes, some even had pity. This wasn't a war of hate for them, just a job. The Rosians were trained like that you know, they would never get their emotions get control of them.

They ended up at the jail area. It looked nice. Clean even. The prisoners were escorted to their various cells, a guard (armed with an RAR-1C) was posted outside each cell.

One of the guards looked at his designated cell. "Welcome to the CRS Roska, any shit and you'll be shot. Those are the rules, any questions?"

Sarzonia
17-11-2004, 04:03

Actually, it wasn't much of a chamber... it was more of an underground walled ping-pong table; a line down the middle with a runing camera on the middle, chalk-white walls surrounding him, with a black metal door at the end. One of the kidnappers kicked him in the shin, forcing him onto the ground next to him. What appeared to be the leader stepped forward. He called himself Barbala or Berberia or Barber or something. He described his time until all proccian troops to be withdrawn: 48hrs. Yeah, right. He was gonna die.

[OOC: Yoohoo!]

"B-Britney Spears concert videos?" one of the prisoners whimpered in a high-pitched, squeaky voice. "Have you no dignity, dear sirs? Have you no hearts, or souls?"

due to the fact that Roman Republic is now aiding the rebels and is sending help, 1,500 F-16s have left HP for RB along with 10,000 extra troops. Making the total number of troops 48,000.

By now, the rebel corpses had been thrown into a mass grave, but the men on the crosses were still hanging up as a warning to all who would oppose the marines. The base was now better fortified, the gap in the wall had been sealed with sandbags and barbed wire, and a large formation of F/A25s(1000) was enroute to maintain air supperiority and hit ground targets.

OOC: I haven't read through the entire thread, so please excuse my lack of knowledge on the specific rebel leader(s)'(s) names. R_B and I have made some plans for an RP of our own and this is the starting platform. I think. :)

Uber-secret IC:

Certain factions within the United Empire of Colerica wish to assist the secessionist rebels in this war. Operating under the radar of the Emperor, these rogue Imperial officials are offering to secretly wire money to the rebels and can (clandestinely) supply them with weaponry, ammution, and equipment. No questions asked. If this information is leaked, they will deny all involvement and any evidence will be 'erased' (assassinations in RB may occur if this is leaked).

These people mean business, plain and simple. Again, these are a select few Imperial elites that are operating against the wishes of the Emperor, Maderic Thra. They collectively call themselves the Shadow Guild.

Because of Roman Republic's added effort, I will be sending 3 more super carriers, each with up to 96 aircraft.

IC: Hundreds of C-56 transport aircraft flew over the dawn sky. In them were the 32 Parainfantry Division, 27th Mountain Division, and the 2nd Janissary Corps. They had spent the last 6 months learning air drop tequnies(sp) and COIN operation. In exactly 5 minutes they would be on the ground near the Doomingsland Military Base.
