OVERVIEW: The creation of the Dangerfield class represents a new age in IDF thinking. These ships, produced at IDF shipyards Haifa, will be the bulk of IDF logistics during times of war. These aren't just going to be used in the grim event of war. These ships will be owned by the government, but leased to private companies for commerce during times of peace. Leasing these ships out will pay for their construction and help the IDF economy along with the military when they are used for logistics These ships are built to survive light attacks, but should still be working under escort in times of war. They have good speed for a ship of her type. This decreases the amount of time they are exposed to danger, but also equals more corporate profits when put to civilian usage.

Badger class Supertanker
http://img93.exs.cx/img93/2484/ULCC.jpg
OVERVIEW: This tanker is built by IDF Shipyards at the Gaza facility. It is built as Suez-max type tanker. She is the largest tanker that can currently make the transit through the canal. The IDF Merchant Marine contracted to have her built for the purpose of helping the logistical side in war. This ship is by no means a fleet oiler, but it can carry crude oil or refined petrleum to a distant battlefield if need be. During the majority of their time when not in war use, they will be leased to private companies in IDF to allow them to actually make a profit and improve the IDF economy. Due to the nature of her cargo, she doesn't have armor like other merchant marine ships as it wouldn't matter on a crude carrier. She does have a double hull though like all other modern tankers.
length: 845 feet
beam: 147 feet
draught: 64 feet
deadweight: 80,450 deadweight tons
speed: 17.1 knots
powerplant: 3 diesel engines producing 70,000 shp over 2 shafts
crew: 48 crewmembers
PRICE = $1.4 billion
