Sovieten declare war upon Doomingsland

Sovieten
13-11-2004, 17:29
A few days ago, Doomingsland were in a state of high alert, as Voltarum troops were showing hostility towards them. Sovieten sent it's entire airforce (One Mi24 "Hind") to do a brief flyby, with the aim of discovering just how bad the situation was. The hind had all armaments removed for the mission, and had clear sovieten ensigns upon it. Doomingland intercepted the craft. We have recorded the communications for that reason.

Eagle, this is Dragonfly. We are doing a flybye of Doomingsland as we speak... Everything seems normal... Wait, Lorosov! 3 O'clock! Sir, we have troops moving in from the south-west... they could be Iles Confederate... wait, scratch that, they're Voltarum units. Eagle, requesting permission to return to Everone and refuel? Dragonfly out.

Attention unidentified aircraft. You have entered restricted airspace. Lower your altitude to 300 feet, and set your course for our beacon. Failure to comply will result in your termination.
You have ten seconds to comply.

This is Dragonfly, Sovieten reconaissence 'copter. We will drop our altitude and alter our course to an innoffensive zone. We are low on fuel, and cannot afford to spend time getting to your beacon. Repeat, request permission to drop and head to the nearest border. Dragonfly out.

Negative, you will set down at our beacon, and surrender your aircraft. You have ten seconds to comply.

Negative, negative. I say again, we are low on fuel. This is our nations only aircraft, and there will be serious retribution if you attack us. Why was a warning statement not given as we entered your airspace?

A warning beacon is always transmitting. Times up.

At this point, the hind was destroyed. Later, it was confirmed that the hind's radio system was too primitive to recieve the warning from the advanced beacon. Therefore, it's first warning was an order to surrender. The unarmed craft was destroyed, and Doomingsland is refusing to release the pilots. From studying Doomingslands history, we can be fairly sure that they are being interrogated.

Sovieten is mobilising what few troops it has, and all reserve Civilian drafts have been called into service. We will cease our preparations for war when the two pilots are released.

"Sir, Sovieten just declared war!"

"Damn. Well, luckily for you guys, you are now considered Prisoners of War. Take 'em away, they don't know anything."

The two pilots were sedated, and dragged into seperate iso-cells, with no light entering the cell, and right-wing propaganda blasting constantly.

Khan chuckled in reply. He knew what was coming.

Doom AFB, Doomingsland

A squadron of twenty B2 bombers lifted off from the airbase, and headed toward Sovieten to finish the war they had started. The aircraft were armed with a variety of weapons, ranging from JDAMs to JSOWs, more than enough to wipe out Sovieten's military, and more. They split up into four groups of five, one group heading to Port Lukin, a second group heading to the military depot, a third heading to Sovieten City, and the fourth heading to the airfield.

We thank the USN for their support.

50,000 feet above Sovieten

Hammer Four, bombs away.

Above the Port of Lukin, each bomber released 40 JDAMs, targetting sperate units, mostly URALs and UAZs and any BMPs in the area, in addition to any ships that may be docked.

At the airfield, each of the five bombers had 20 JSOWs each. They released their bombs from 50,000 feet, which then plumetted to the earth, seperating into eight seperate warheads, which were all guided to seperate targets via GPS, and would then burst into hundreds of bomblets with IR seaking warheads, made to home in on engine heat. All of this made for enough fire power to level the whole area.

At the capital, the bombers tried to keep civilian casualties to a minimal, targetting government buildings and barraks structures, mainly as a show of force.

At the military depot, two bombers, armed with JSOWs, targetted any vehicle or infantry concentrations, while the other three, armed with JDAMs, went after structures.

After unloading their payload, the bombers broke and headed home.

The B2 pilots watched with a degree of amusment as the SA7s exploded far below them. The B2s were flying above the range of the Strelas. One of the B2s had a single JDAM left (there weren't enough targets for him to use them all), and decided to use it on the Shilka. He lined up the crosshairs with the vehicle, and flicked the 'RELEASE' switch, dropping the bomb. He watched the camera, and for a split second, he could see a dot fly by the screen, and enter the crosshairs before the TV went blank.

The Commissariat of War realised the situation was dire. Other nations committed troops. And Sovieten was under developed. The Federation would not allow for a communist nation to fall. There was yet to be a response from the First Communist International.

The Commissariat sent out a message to the 3rd Marine Division and 6th Airborn Division. It simply read "Mobilize. Be ready for anything." The men were on active duty and so it would not take more than a day to mobilize the soldiers.

A large airborne force was being assembled, three divisions strong, 60,000 elite paratroopers. Along with them came 300 M8 Armored Gun Systems, 600 Strykers, and 1000 HMMWVs, armed with a variety of weapons. All of this was being loaded into hundreds of C5s and C17s for the journey to their targets. The paras were armed with XM8 carbines, grenadiers had XM29 OICWs, and the auto riflemen were armed with M249 paras. Platoon machine gunners had M60E4s, anti tank missile teams (one per platoon) had SMAWs, and every fourth man in each squad (nine men, that makes to AT4 men) had an AT4 launcher. Every company had an XM304 OCSW team, in addition to three Javelin teams, and a TOW team.

Nodacri AFB, Doomingsland

A lone squadron of F35A JSFs lifted off from the air force base, armed with two maverick missiles, two AMRAAM missiles each and two CBUs. A total of 21 aircraft took off, and headed for Sovieten, for yet another sortie. This would be to finish the job the B2s started, and hunt down the remaining URALs, UAZs, and BMPs, and hopefully kill a slew of infantry while they were at it. They would have to refuel several times on the way there, and were guided by an AWACS bird, so the enemy wouldn't detect a radar signal coming from the craft, making their detection difficult, if not impossible for the pimative equiptment of the Sovietens. However, the SA7s would be more of a threat now, since they'd be flying at a lower altitude.

Meanwhile, the B2 squadron touched down at Doom AFB, and walked over to the heavily damaged bomber. The pilot had been careless, and had taken a few shells when his bomb bay was open, resulting in the death of his copilot.

"This is it? this is IT? we're supposed to hold off an invasion with this rabble?" It was true that the Captain had succeeded in pulling together very few troops for the defence of Koljulev. He had only one proffesional squadron, a BMP, some civilian cars, two half trained draft squads, and 30 or so civilians they had simply taken off the streets of Chatoi and given weapons. His main asset, however, was the ancient T-55 tank. That was his one suprise on the enemy. The tank had been concealed, and only sovieten officers and crew knew of it's existance. "You better hope they parachute. We'd never hold a beach aussalt. Dimitri! Start laying mines down by the coastline! Take some of the civs!" If they landed, they would not find him waiting...

Satelite photos had revealed the presence of enemy forces in the vicinity of Koljulev, and the fighters had been vectored in on it.

This is Wardog One, we're coming on the target.

Affirmative, Wardog, you are cleared to engage.

The fighters broke formation, and headed to various areas of the country, hunting for the remaining pockets of resistance. A group of four fighters came upon the troops planting mines on the beaches.

Wardog Five, pickle, pickle.

The four fighters released their cluster bombs, and flew over the men on the beach, listening to the sound of hundreds of bomblets and mines going of behind them.

The others made use of maverick missiles, using them on URALs and armored vehicles, occasionaly dumping cluster bombs on infantry positions.

The sound of the engines choked the air. It was dark inside the C17, except for the red lights eminating from the walls. The men sat side by side, checking their rifles and ammunition. It was cold, just as it should be at that altitude.

Suddenly, the light above the doors went red,

"Red light, on your feet."

The paratroopers stood up, and cocked their rifles, making for a satisfying CLACK CLACK that filled the cargo bay.

"Yellow light, check your partners."

The men checked the soldiers next to them, to make sure they were all hooked up. Finnaly, the moment of truth...

"Green light! Out the doors! Move it! Move it!"

The men poured fourth from the transports, into the black abyss that was the night sky. The men hit the ground all around, and quickly made use of their GPS systems to link up with one another. They would then move on, securing cities, hunting down hostile forces, ect.

"Comrades, we have detected the launch of ICBMs from the nation of... Holy Paradise. We have no information of wheather they are nuclear are not. Currently, retaliatory actions are being prepared. We must work harder to avoid the possible fate of Sovieten. As you were, comrades!"

People immediatly went back to work.

Alpha-I ICBM Facility, the Halladi Desert

"Comrade, are the orders real?" A General asked two soldiers, each holding a peace of papper.

"Alpha-I, Gulf, Tango, Bravo-IV, Five-Ten." One, a lieutenant said.

"I confirm it's authenticity, comrade General. Alpha-I, Gulf, Tango, Bravo-IV, Five-Ten." A Major informed the General.

"Very well." The General walked to a large computer pannell.

The Major and Lieutenant joined him. Each put in a code at a separate keyboard. Three small pannells popped open. Each was a small container holding a key. They each took one.

There were three key-holes. The two lower-ranking men did not hesitate to put their keys in and turn them to the right. The General sighed, took a deep breath, the followed suit.

Throughout the facility read lights were flashing. An intercomm repeated a message.

"Comrades! Prepare for ICBM launch."

Several Sergeants sitting at computers behind the officers were typing in co-ordanance, some were telling the computers how many Geiste-I Non-Nuclear ICBMs to prepare. Thirty were being launched.

The preparation took 24 minutes. Now the General stood over a sergeant shoulder. He looked at the computer screens.

"Comrade General, preparation is complete."

"Open the silo hatches."

"Yes comrade." The Sergeant put the command into the computer. They waited another minute. "Hatches open, comrade."

"Launch on my mark." He paused for a moment, looked back at the officers. They nodded, urging him to finish this business. "Mark."

The missiles took off, the several areas of large military build up in Holy Paradise, along with various military bases.

130 F/A25 Hounds moved to intercept the Halladi aircraft. At a range of 200 miles, with their radar switched off, each of the Hounds launched two AXRAAM missiles. The missiles accelerated to mach 5, and engaged their 3D vectored thrust when the enemy attempted to evade. There were a total of 260 of the missiles launched at the transports and fighters. The F25s then accelerated to mach 3, and engaged with AMRAAMs.

The convoy(If you could call it that) arrived at the mouth of the strait in between Everone and Maldon. The commander of the division decided to sieze the port of Lubek and the military depot on Maldon. If the maps read right there should be tons(or at least alot) of ammo and fuel in the depot. Seizing it would deprive the Sovieten Army of important resources. The big 18.6 inch guns of the battleship swung around and began to open fire on the beach just north of Lubek in order to soften it up.

The Squadron of Mig-29k's zoomed impressively alongside the Galaxies as they streamed into Sovieten airspace.

"This is Captain Roger Winterzov, Hogsweatian Army, to Sovieten Air Traffic Control. The cavalry has arrived! We request permission to drop off at a nearby airport."

The idea, having knowledge that the Sovieten had a small military, was to impress them with military might superior than their own. As they got the go ahead, the C-5s dusted down to a clapping of the Sovieten's. The Mig 29's zoomed over head, streamers alight, doing impressive maneuvers that would hopefully capture the attention of the Sovieten's. What would get them most though, was the two T-64's rolling out the back of the C-5.

"Alright, back a bit.... some more.... perfect, keep it going."

The second one rolled out, its turret swivelled in the air ready for combat. A Tankist popped out the top, waving to Sovieten women and children as if he was a heroic liberator. Following them an AA tank. As the other's landed, the first taxied to refuel. As the ramp dropped, the two half-companies unloaded, chanting the Hogsweatian War Chant [The Saint's War. Some of it is in my sig], their SKS Simonov's swinging back and forth as their forage caps and helmets bobbed up and down, the red star on top all alike. Winterzov left his company, and strolled up to the top of the airport.

"I need to speak to whoever is in charge of the Sovieten military. We are here to assist."

The Republic had been watching the growing conflict, as it did with just about any conflict that involved a fellow socialist nation. Prime Minister Zyteslav read over some public opinion polls,

"Well, the people do not want a war, it seems, but I must help my comrades. Perhaps... yes, they will do quite nicely..."

Zyteslav stood up and activated the intercom to the Ministry of War. [i]"Minister Daspronodov, mobilize the 1st Red Marauder division to Hallad..."

-------------------

Petrograd Army Base: Northwestern Hattia

In the dead of night, many figures could be seen emerging from the buildings within the huge military base, and along with those from nearby bases, they filed onto a fleet of civilian cruise ships that had been recently commandeered by the military.

Once everyone was onboard, many of the soldiers changed into civilian clothes and milled about the decks of the ships as they left for Hallad...

OOC: Just some notes about the Red Marauders. They are generally deployed when Hattia doesn't want to directly involve itself in a conflict. They will either work 'independantly' of the government or under the command of a allied nation (This time, Hallad will command them). They are extremely well trained and should not be underestimated just because of their small numbers. Mainly, I am using them because I don't have enough time to RP a war, but I still want to help.

ALL ALLIES OF DOOMINGSLAND ARE URGED TO STAY AWAY FROM THE MILITARY DEPOT ON MALDON AND THE AIRBASE ON EVERONE.
-------------
20 USN B-2 Bombers took off from a base outside of the capitol. Their order came directly from President Bruno. They were to bomb strategic targets in Sovieten. Their mission was an extremly confidential one...only Bruno, the head of the Department of Defense, and the crews of the planes knew it. After flying for what seemed like forever for the crews, they approached their targets. The crews had been notified that allied forces may be seen below and if they encountered any they were to abort. But from what they could see...nothign stood between them and their mission. 5 of the Bombers went after the military depot on the island of Maldon. Each plane dropped 8 GBU-37 laser guided missiles on the depot below.
The 15 other bombers went after the airfield on Everone. Each bomber carried the maximum amount of AGM-158 air to surface missiles that it could. (16) The 2250 pound missiles fell from the bottom of the sleek bombers like rain falling from the sky.
The lead pilot radioed back home, "This is Eagle calling back to the nest. The eggs have dropped and are frying in the pan. The hunters have not been caught and are ready to fly home." They received a response, "Affirmative Eagle. The nest is open for migration."
With that the 20 bombers quickly turned around and sped back home.

The missiles streaked into the tanks as they did their maneuvres, curling upwards and coming down straight into the hull of Bertha, setting it alight and forcing the crew to break ground and run into the airport. Another went straight for Tanya but the elusive Tank went straight over a ramp as a Javelin hurled itself downards into a fuel tank, causing a massive explosion. The crew loaded their shells and immediately retaliated against the Doomingslandians, the hull machine gun rattling. The tank accelerated, AT4's streaming past and hitting into some airport equipment lying around. The crew turned it, the turret swivelled and fired backwards as the T64 ran off, its morale broken.

The AA tank swivelled, its 20MM blasting away at the Doominsglandian's before a missile hit its turret, sending the tank lurching and burning. A/1 Company came under immediate fire. Corporal Sucheli dropped to the ground, his PPSH roaring as his squad took cover and fired back. However, the Doomingslandians had hit hard as the light arms fire slaughtered the surprised Hogsweatians left and right. Sucheli grabbed his radio, and reported in.

"FIRST SQUAD, TAKING HEAVY FIRE!"

He got a stream of replies.

"We are routed!"

Came the helpless reply from second squad as Sucheli watched them try to dash across the runway, before having their legs shot from under them by a machine gun. One of them survived, crouched behind a little ramp, a grenade in hand and a pistol in the other.

"AAAAMBUUUSSH!!!"

Sucheli watched his left flank, as a platoon from B Company put up fierce resistance before their Galaxy was hit by a missile, setting it alight and exploding. The men were scorched alive, the fuel tanks blazing.

----
Winterzov looked in horror as he saw the unformated defense fall back in loose, ragged, formations.

"ALL UNITS, RETREAT! REPEAT, RETREAT!"

The men made a dash, but most of them were massacred. Approximately two platoons made it into the airport, and linked up with Winterzov. They immediately made for the city, and tried to link up with the running T64.

Sucheli cocked his pistol. He rested his back against the burnt chassis of the T64, bayonet in one hand and pistol in other.

"Your mission is to soften up the defenses at Port Lukin at waypoint 4. I want you guys to do manuever 5293, "Splitting the Arrow", at waypoint 3, which is only 2 minutes ahead."

2 minutes later, the arrow formation of the F-15Es split in half, one group going to right, the other going left. The jets then turned back towards Port Lukin after flying 10 miles.

As the Hogsweatens attempted to retreat, the Doomingslandians pulled the second part of the ambush, opening fire from the opposite end of the airport, cutting off their retreat. An officer got on a loudspeaker, and called for their surrender. Another three javelins went streaking through the air toward the remaining tank.

The element of surprise and excelent cover had kept casualties to a minimum, just 7 dead and 20 wounded.

A small squad of four men headed over to the burning aircraft. The carnage was immense. People were torn to pieces by the machinegun fire. The smell of charred human flesh filled the air.

"Well, another job well done." chuckled an old sergeant to his men. One of them walked over to the T64, and ended up being shot in the head by Sucheli. The others took cover, and began laying suppresing fire on his position.

After the devastating air and artilery strikes made by allied forces, 5,000 paratroopers moved in, killing anything deemed dangerous, and siezing key positions.

The men had already made their positions known after initial contact with Hogsweaten forces. The whole airstrip and area around it was surrounded by over 3,000 paratroopers, who had taken up positions in foxholes and concealed areas. The airfield was thouroughly hemmed in, with another 2,000 spread throughout the island.

The first of the An-124s came down.

"Comrades, there's not enough room for all of us. Some of you've gotta land in a field." The pilot informed his comrades.

The plane touched down with no problems, moving out of the way to provide room for as many planes as possible. 34 planes had been able to touch down at the airfield. The rest looked for an open field.

The men at the airfield did not come out of their planes. They stayed in the cargo bay with the doors closed, holding AK-108s. There was little communication, but what little there was simply encouraged the men to stay in the planes.

The other planes did find a field. Three of them ran out of fuel and landed in the ocean. The men in those planes were able to escape with a bit of luck, they waited for someone to pick them up.

Captain Murphy, the captain of the USN Fleet, sat in his cabin. He then heard a sailor quickly approaching his room and peaked his head out of his door. "What is it?," he asked the sailor. "We've received word from President Bruno. We are to ship out about 3/4 of our forces to aid in the fight for Chatoi" The captain immediatly met with his advisors. A plan was agreed upon. 6500 USN troops would be shipped out to Chatoi to aid in the fight for it. Also to be shipped out would be 20 M3A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle Systems (OOC: Photo (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m2-bradley-ds.jpg) ) and 25 M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank (OOC: Photo (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m1a1-980120-A-0000K-002.jpg) )

Captain Murphy had his force ready within 3 hours. When the transport/landing vehicles shipped out Murphy ordered missile strikes from the ships to open a place for landing for the USN forces. The ships opened fire on defensive positions on the island. (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/smart/960903-n-00000-001.jpg) The forces on the transport vehicles cheered as the missiles hit the island they were about to land on. Withing minutes the ships came to an abrupt halt as they hit the island. The doors opened and the USN forces poured out.

Commanding officers immediatley set up a command center in a covered area near where they had landed. They were discussing whether it would be better to go alone or fight with allied forces. They decided to go alone and within an hour of arriving ordered 6000 USN soldiers, 15 M3A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle Systems, and 15 M1 Abrams Main Battle Tanks to march towards Chatoi. The others would remain behind to guard the position where they had landed, in case it was needed to ship in more troops or to evacuate the soldiers already on the island.

Satelite photos had shown the presense of enemy forces at a nearby mountain. Rather than waste men and resourses trying to take it, the High Command had decided simply to level it. A squadron of 21 B52H bombers headed toward the mountain. Loaded aboard were over 70,000 pounds of unguided bombs. All of this would simply be dumped on the mountain in an effort to route the remaining resistance, and completely take over the country.

24 miles off the coast of Chatoi:

The Parthian fleet moved into positions to assist in an aircraft bombardment and then an amphibious assault of the Sovieten lands. Within the fleet, one new Pernicious class carrier, the Light of Ahura Mazda, turned and manuvered so the planes would take off with the winds to their backs. Five other Nimitz class carriers emulated this manuver and began to prepare a total of 35 JSFs with clusterbombs and napalm and 70 F-18s with AIRRAM missiles and sidewinders. In a small space of time, any city in Sovieten could be flattened.

Ten minutes later, they were inside. A major approached them.
"Welcome to Eagle base!" he cried.
"Eagle base?"
"Didn't you wonder where Eagle's orders were coming from after the capital fell?"
Lukin smiled. "I see.. but wont we be seen?"
"Look around you. its little more than a converted barn with walls. From the air, our M2's wont be visible, and our personnel will look like simple farmers."

Sovieten would be retaken, piece by piece. It would take time though, and Lukin knew that as they went to their billet, which was little more than a corrugated iron barn.

Bombard it whenever you want to.

Excellent.

35 B-2 Bombers took off from USN Airbases. Unlike the last bombing mission, this one was out in the open and not confidential. A crowd of jubilant citizens cheered watching the bombers take off. Each plane had the maximum amount of weapons it could carry. Also preparing for the bombing were the 5 USN Battleships and 8 Submarines. They moved into a position where they could see their target....the port. The lead ship, the USS Mills , received a transmission from the bombers. "This is vulture to catfish. The eggs are ready for cooking and the birds are approaching the prey." The captain responded, "Affirmative vulture. This is catfish and we are also ready for the meal."

Soon enough the bombers appeared to the ships below and the ships received the signal from the captain. The ships fired Tomahawk missiles at the port, 30 in all. (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/smart/9908tomahawk2.jpg) The ships firing was the pilots above signal to drop their weapons.

16 JDAM missiles and 80 MK 82s dropped from each of the 35 bombers on the port below. "This is vulture...the eggs are fried...and the pan appears to be broken. The flock is returning to the nest." And with that the bombers returned home.

The JSFs and F-18s flew into the air with the munitions under their wings. Thier objective was simple: annihilate any urban areas on the island. At the lead were E-6s, who jammed any enemy radars before unleashing radar-killing HARM missiles. The F-18s and JSFs followed behind with the F-18s breaking to engage enemy aircraft and the JSFs moving in for the bombing run on the largest city on Chatoi. Each of the JSFs had a specific target for a clusterbomb drop in order to maximize the destruction and number of casualities.

Capt. Bijan Taheri piloted his JSF directly over his target, and then flipped the release munitions switch, sending the clusterbomb down. The weapon exploded in midair and then released the bomblets to scatter over the area equivalent to 10 football fields. When he saw the apartment blocks below explode in a hundred flashes of light, he smiled with the knowlege that the commies were now dead.

Occupied Sovieten

Imperial Propaganda officers arrived on scene, along with 3,000 Imperial Guardsmen(elite riot cops). The men began establishing Imperial offices in all of the urban centers. Everyone was ordered to report for ID tagging. This involved the insertion of microchips under the scalps of the people, so that their movements could be constantly tracked. Armored units moved into rural areas and began rounding up farmers for ID tagging. This would make rebellion extremely difficult. In addition to this, the local school systems all changed. It was now all 'indoctrination'. Children were taught why it pays to be loyal to the Empire, and why they should report any suspicious activity by possible 'heretics'. Those who refused to comply were siezed, and deported to Doomingsland for 'reeducation', where they would be brainwashed into being loyal citizens. Private buisiness was now allowed, and promoted. Taxes were lowered substantialy as well. People were now allowed to make their own wages. However, welfare was abolished, on the grounds that it promoted laziness. The occupiers provided work for the locals at depots and factories (under close supervision, of course), and were payed well for their work. All of this to ensure loyalty.

PRIORITY Z!(highest priority)
From:Red Tide Goverment
To: The Empire ofDoomingsland
subj. Military Bases
"We humbly request that you let us set up a permanent naval base at Port Lubek. We plan on using it as a supply port for our 6th naval taskforce. Also the Tech-Com Corporation(our largest and most prominent corporation) will be contacting you soon. They have a qeustion to ask... something about ammo factories, off-shore drilling, and coal veins. Anyways... good day and may your 'liberation' not go in vain."

:a few seconds later:

MESSAGE! MESSAGE!
PRIORITY ZETA!
From: Tech-Com Corporation
To: Doomingsland Empire
Subj. Economic interests
We are interested in building ammo factories on the Sovieten Mainland. The current ammunition needs of the Red Tide Military(who buy their ammo from us) are to great for our factories on Red Tide Proper to bear. Also our geoligists have indicated the possibility of cold veins in Konjulev and oil deposits off the shores of western Maldon Coast. We want to confirm the existance of these deposits... then exploit them. We offer you, in return, a share of the profits.
END MESSAGE!

Official Response

Your requests have been granted. In fact, we were going to ask for corporations to begin building up the industry. Both of you may begin construction immediatly.

OOC:You know that Sovieten has been totaly conquered? This whole thing is pretty much over, I'm just waiting for Hallad and Hogsweat to post.

IC:

The airfield was now a full fledged air base, now called Everone Air Force Base. A large cotingent of aircraft was stationed there, consisting of F35s, A10s, F/A25s, B109 Longswords, among other things.

Very few things were hidden from the eyes of the Republic, and this 'war' was not one of them.

From space, observers watched with mild annoyance at the petty nations that had deemed it necessary to smash a small country. The Prime Minister sat with growing anger as he read the reports.

From: Prime Minister Zyteslav of The Soviet Socialist Republic
To: All involved

Seeing as the conflict is soon to be over, we request that occupying forces turn over control of Sovieten to a provisional government to allow Sovieten to remain a sovereign nation, free from the imperialist clutches of any nation.

Should Sovieten become a colony of Doomingsland, this will be viewed with great annoyance by the Republic, and will open up Sovieten to later liberation at a time of our choosing.

Also, any Sovieten refugee fleeing the fighting should note that our borders are open to them.

Please take our words to heart, we do not wish to have to back them up.

OOC:I cant find out... is the MIG-39 OR the SU-37 carrier capable? If neither is... I am gonna have to find a carrier capable interceptor.
A section of Lubek naval port was quickly transformed. At Red Tide proper the 6th Naval Taskforce was prepaing to set sail to Port Lubek.

6th Naval Taskforce
1 Typhoon Class Supercarrier
2 G-Battleships
3 M(issile)-Battleships
15 Willie-Willie Class Destroyers
24 Vodka Class Frigates

The taskforce departed and would arrive in a few days. At the same time a team of geoligists, neo-prospectors, and a large amount of construction workers took off in airplanes and headed for Sovieten.

OOC: Really sorry, been verybusy. Shall we say the men surrendered. 1,346 men died, you have 14,754 prisoners from the Airborn division, another 122 from the An-124s. I assume the prisoners were realised?

OOC:Thanks, I've been waiting for that. I'm not going to immediatly release them, first I'm gonna brain wash them, then I'll sell them back to you (I did that to Hogsweat a while back). No, the MiG39 and the Su37 aren't carrier capable, if I were you, I'd just make one up, I did that, and it's a pretty sound design. If that isn't your thing, than I'd say go with the Su33, it's a pretty capable carrier based fighter.

IC:

The prisoners had all arrived in Doomingsland, and were all seperated, the nationalities intermingling to prevent revolt. They were then made to stand in several lines, then chains were affixed to their hands and ankles, linking them all. The chains were attached to the back of several Strykers, with the .50 cal trained on the captives. They would stand there, out in the blazing sun, for several more hours as they were filmed by camera crews.

Finnaly, the parade got underway.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Imperial News Network, Special Report

After the crushing victory over the rouge nation of Sovieten, the commanding generals have returned in triumph along with their para divisions, the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Airborne Divisions. The supreme commander of the operation was General Aulus Scipio, a highly trusted commander, and personal friend of the Emperor. He, along with his division commanders, can be seen leading the parade within their open top limo, waving to their fellow citizens, who are cheering wildly. Young girls shower the men with flowers and confety, while boys snap salutes to the returning soldiers, and others simply stand by, cheering their victorious countrymen,

The camera pans to a view of the generals crossing beneath an Arch of Triumph, followed by a company of paratroopers marching in perfect formation. Behind them lies the rest of the three divisions.

The convoy arrived in Doom Square, and at the gates of the Doom Citadel, where the generals' vehicle entered the fortress, and the divisions assembled. A great view of the Colleseum and the Imperial Library can be seen. Behind the long convoy lied the POWs captured in the operation, being forced to run behind the Strykers as bystanders flung rotten vegtables and insults. They finnaly arrived in the square, exhausted and beaten in their tattered uniforms, and were loaded onto trucks and taken away.

As you saw there, a tremendous amount of enemy soldiers were captured, mostly from the nations of Sovieten, Hallad, and possibly Hogsweat.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, the soldiers were trucked to the Doom Valley Prison, and sedated, where the enlisted men would wake up in a low cieling pitch black room, filled with other prisoners. It was freezing inside. The officers, on the other hand, were placed in their own personal cells, which, in turn, were blazing hot (and pitch black, as well). Meanwhile, propaganda was blasted, giving an effect of subliminal messaging. Occasionaly some guards would sneak in, taking the darkness to their advantage, and sneak away with several prisoners, who would be subjected to interrogation and brainwashing.

OOC: The MIG-39 cannot. The SU-37 can be adjusted to be carrier capable. The Halladi Military Storefront sells SU-37Ks, which are carrier capable (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=351552).
