President Bogdashka Zorin peered out of his office window at the massive crowd of protesters below.

"Incredible.." he said to himself as he headed straight for his liquor cabinet. To his great disappointment, he was interrupted by Captain Arkand Oblonsky of the Zarbia City police.

"Sir, we have reports that approximately another thousand civilians are heading in this direction from the northern sector of the city. Information tells us that many are armed and dangerous, posing a direct threat to Zarbian security. What do you propose we do?"

Zorin poured himself a shot of whiskey and downed it. "What is there to do, captain?"

"We must bring these traitors to justice, they should be arrested and questioned."

Zorin shook his head and sighed.

"Sir, we cannot give in to these rebel bastards!" exclaimed Oblonsky, his eyes fixed on the whiskey, his face a mask of complete confusion.

Zorin still remained silent, his eyes still.

"We could have a few Polizia squads called in to take care of these fools, sir." suggested Oblonsky eagerly.

The President glared at Oblonsky with a look of complete disbelief on his face. "Use your head, captain! Think of what hell an action like that would create for us! There's already a thousand more protesters coming to join the seven or eight thousand already assembled outside. First it's protests and riots. After we slaughter them it's stolen tanks and explosives on our goddamn doorsteps!"

"I am sorry, sir," responded Oblonsky with a pause. "Then what do you wish to do?"

"Speak to these rebels. Find out who their leader is and what they want. Do it quickly before they move on to more drastic measures." ordered Zorin.

The captain saluted and left the room. As he walked down the hall he grit his teeth in anger at the weakness of his ruler.

Outside, a young man by the name of Trotzig stood in the middle of the crowd, waiting for a response from Zorin. Today would be a victory for a new Zarbia.

OOC: Anyone who has RPed with me before should recognize the name Trotzig. Yes, he is related to Zarbia's former dictator Borin Trotzig. This is going to get reaaaaaaaal fun. ;)

Captain Oblonsky approached the door, thinking over what he was going to say to the masses gathered outside. Another police officer stepped in front of him and stuck his hand out.

"Excuse me sir, where are you going?" he asked.

"I'm going out there. To talk with them." replied Oblonsky, sweat trickling down his face.

"They won't talk to you, sir. They say they will speak only to Zorin."

"Goddamnit," Oblonsky said angrily, "how bad is it out there?"

The officer bit his lip. "We have to do something.." He looked as nervous as Oblonsky did, not a good sign.

"Tell that to your glorious leader." spat Oblonsky and headed towards the stairs once again. He stepped into the President's waiting room and was immediately let into the main office.

"Yes?" asked Zorin anxiously.

"They demand to speak to you, sir." stated the captain, staring Zorin in the eye.

Zorin stood up and walked to the balcony of his office. "Shit." he said under his breath before opening the double doors and stepping out into the sunlight. Below him, thousands of angry Zarbians yelled and chanted threats, displeased with their leader.

"People of Zarbia," he exclaimed, silence reigning as he spoke, "I understand what you are asking for. Zarbia is weak and riddled by riots and disruption. I will hereby resign as supreme ruler of Zarbia, but mark my words, this nation will come crumbling down, there will be no end to the destruction."

Standing in the Presidential office, Captain Arkand Oblonsky could barely believe his ears. It took him a moment before he knew what he had to do. He unholstered his standard issue 9mm Luger and pointed it at Zorin. "You goddamn traitor! Face me!" he screamed.

Zorin turned around. "Put the weapon away, boy. If you shoot that, you're as good as dead!"

"Rebel whore," spat Oblonsky, "weak fool! You wish to live like a traitor, you will die like one!" Oblonsky pulled the trigger one, twice, three times, and Zorin fall back against the railing of the balcony. Blood dribbled from the President's mouth as his head lulled to one side.

Oblonsky fared little better. Hearing gunfire from inside the office, Zorin's personal guards rushed into the room. Within seconds, Oblonsky had been gunned down, his bullet-ridden body joining Zorin.

The rebels outside, their blood already pumping, saw their leader's dead body and went estactic.

With chants of "storm the building" the protesters went mad, chucking homemade molotovs through the windows of the building.

It had begun...

OOC: Ummm... if your nation is wracked by this internal strife, how the hell are you able to mobilize 100,000 troops to oppose my conquest of the Democratic Republic of the Congo?

But... w/e. I'm not particularly interested in overthrowing the govt, I just want my uranium mines.

OOC: Easy. There are already soldiers in Angola and all my African colonies are controlled by military leaders. They don't know about the situation in Zarbia, they act independently unless told differently.
