OOC: This is not going to be an actual revolution, so if you want war and violence, this isn't going to satisfy. However, the ANL government, although socialist as is, is going to be undertaking massive liberal movements.

The ANL Soviet Congress has just enacted a new bill that would ban all biological and chemical weapons from the Aztec Communist Union. All research and development into nuclear weapons will be halted. Although the ANL does not have any active nuclear weapons, there are several tactical, ICBM and SLBM designs that are in the final phase of development.
The ANL has never had nuclear weapons, or any WMD for that matter, but under the Interm Executive Council, the ban on WMDs was lifted. Despite the Supreme Court overturning the lifting of the ban, research still continued.
Although the bill recived much support from Chief Majority Leader Jorge Arroyo (DCP-Nayruit) and newly elected Minority Leader Izel (LCP-Quintana Roo), the bill wasn't expected to pass so easily. However, it passed with a landslide 91-10 vote, with one abstaining. Premier Quetzalcoatl (DCP) is expected to sign the bill into law shortly.

We formally congradulate your government for taking this step towards a more stable world without Weapons of Mass Destruction. Of course, we expect that the people of Aztec National League have reasonable defence systems in order to deter other nations from thinking they have gained any ground on the ANL. In anycase it's nice to see other nations taking the same stance as Iuthia took many years ago.
Well done,

Official Statement from The Proletariat Commonwealth of The Island of Rose:
The Island applauds this move of our ally. You know, every time the Corporate and Red Party is about to ban WMDs, an incident occurs that we need to threaten with nuclear weapons. I swear, luck is being a unmerciful person. Again, we congratulate our ally on this wonderful move of theirs to reban WMDs. I can only hope that Parliament finally approves of banning them too.

We are glad to see the approval of our friends in our nation's direction. It is for the greater good to try to make the world a more secure place, and although the deturance advantage of weapons of mass destruction is lucrative, this is the better position to take. While we have an advanced defensive system, I hope diplomacy is good enough.

Office of the Premier
Quetzalcoatl looked up at the clock, it was about 7:47 PM, almost time for the day to be over. Another late night of working. Quetzalcoatl was obviously tired, 13 hours today, a typical day at the office. No wonder he was 25 and still single. He didn't care all to much though, he liked his job.
Knock, knock, knock."
Someone was at the door.
The Premier got up and walked over to the door and opened it. Enthusiasitc and grinning, Congressmen Arroyo and Izel walked in holding a large file. They walked over to his desk and placed the file on it. Quetzalcoatl sat down and asked "Did the congress reject the economic plan again?"
"If they did, I wouldn't be smiliing. No, this is the ban on WMDs."
Quetzalcoatl's tired eyes perked up. He then said "good, I guess it passed then."
"You are correct."
Quetzalcoatl began to read the document. Long and complex, he just flipped the papers and went straight to the last page, got his pen and signed it.

We applause your statement about nuclear Weapons. As a neighbor to ANL we were worried when the ban of WMDS was lifted. The whole nation of Kopparbergs feels a great relief today.
Kopparbergs has never had nuclear, chemical or biological weapons, and we have no plans of getting such weapons.

I am glad to see our neighboor approves of our new direction. While WMDs gave us a tactical advantage, it was not worth the security, prestige or ethics of the ANL. Under my administration, I will make sure the ANL never has nuclear weapons - ever.

"Fools.", the Emperor muttered as he tossed aside a newspaper.
"Do they really think they can survive in a world filled with gigantic super powers, armed to the brim with all types of modern technology? Stupid liberals. If only our Empire was not so young and weak..."
He sighed mournfully as he sipped his coffee.
