First Open Elections in Random Kingdom

Random Kingdom
12-11-2004, 17:52
This is the first Random Kingdom election, hosted years after the original government changed. This time, all the places have opened and will be allocated. The first priority is to elect the new 3 Supreme Ministers. This will be the main purpose of the poll. The top 3 candidates will be sworn in and the next 3 will become reserves; the rest will be allocated into ministries. If the candidate in line for a ministry is instead sworn in as a Supreme Minister or reserve, the candidate's reserve will take the place. Some candidates don't have a ministry to fall back on, and will not be enrolled in the government this term if they lose out on the SM post.

Candidates this term are:

Justin Aston (Foreign Affairs)

Background: Studied at the university at Confusion City, and decided to run for government last year.

Stances: If elected as SM, will attempt to slash military costs and attention, and will attempt to increase trade between nations.

Ajika Saya (Public Relations)

Background: Born to a native family, and worked as a reporter for a tabloid newspaper for four years. Hates capitalism.

Stances: If elected as SM, will overhaul Random Kingdom's free press, and build liberties at the cost of the economy.

Percy Black (Social Welfare)

Background: Worked at a secondary school for 3 years, and worked as a social worker for the last 2 years.

Stances: If elected, would build liberties and political freedoms, and step in at the sight of unfairness to citizens.

Ijian Pivaja (Education)
Background: Worked as a headmaster of an important secondary school in Random Kingdom for 10 years.

Stances: If elected, would put anything at risk to improve productivity in young citizens, even freedoms.

Jafa Sujah (Justice)
Background: Studied intensely at law school, and runs his own law business in Bayview.

Stances: If elected, would strengthen the law system and improve moral decency, but allow as much civil and political freedom as is affordable.

The Ministry for Business has been merged with the Ministry of Economy.

Brian Sure (incumbent) (Economy)
Background: Was Supreme Minister last term.

Stances: Wants Random Kingdom's economy to become stable, but upkeep the freedoms of the people.

Sandra Price (Healthcare)
Background: Was Reserve Supreme Minister last term.

Stances: Wants the healthcare system to be Random Kingdom's top priority this term.

Austina Sjiata
Background: Dropped out of school with no qualifications. Believes that her childhood was the worst time of her life.

Stances: Would make sure that freedom is top priority, and education is at least bearable.

Sandy Patterson (incumbent)
Background: Was SM last term.
Stances: Doesn't swing either way.

Reserves are (in order of ministry): Cat Everton, Ujijah Pyajos, Ijas Posthall, Zachariah Winfrey, Latrich Pillary, Ojoah Sajata, and Adrian Post (incumbent)
