Airsoft Players invited to Chellis

Chellis

-A transmission from a quite desolate area in chellis; Bouncing off a chellian communication satelite to global channels.-

A man stands in front of a helicopter as it starts to warm up. Chellians in soldiers clothing, around the age of 16-25, loading up with a large assortment of weaponry. The Message is to be played on what was assumed to be prime time in most nations, as a commercial. Private deals were made with most nations tv companies.

"Team Charlie has just taken the south-western part of the city. Alpha is going to contest them, and this Blackhawk is gonna drop them on the hotel, where Charlie has a large weapons cache."

The helicopter lifts off, as someone mans an M-60 mounted to the side. The man speaking holds his cap on, then continues once the helicopter lifts off.

"The Chellian annual airsoft games have begun. The games go on for two whole months. The game area is a large city, evacuated about twenty years ago because of health problems, though in recent years the risk was eradicated.

There are four teams, Alpha through Delta. They each control sections of the city, the four edge corners. The center is large, and each side fights for control of it. The teams section of town is also attackable, but its defidentally harder to take. Defensive positions are much more set up.

The fighting is done with Airsoft guns, with special laser attachments to the front of the guns. The Airsoft guns are modified versions. The clips must be reloaded at realistic times. The lasers are set to disperse completely by the effective range of the gun. Each soldier wears a team uniform, with a special wiring so that a laser hit on anywhere but the head will be a kill. Each soldier has 5 lives a day. When they are hit, they have to make it back to their section of the city, where they can come back to life. When 'dead', the soldiers gun cannot fire, and his cap will have a special indicator that he is dead. If the soldier griefs the system, he will be expelled without refund.

The Fighting goes on from 8 to 8, am to pm. Housing is provided, mostly in the section of the teams city. The city is a working city, for the most part. Energy is fed to the city, and supply trucks come with food, etcetera. The city has been under chellian guard, and has not been stripped at all. Every soldier has a house to themselves, unless they decide to share one. Its personal choice.

Anyone can send people, as long as they meet a physical by a chellian doctor, and pay the starting $700 dollar fee, not including travel, but armament, clothing, etc. Each additional day is $100 dollars, and the maximum time is two months. Pay is all at once, though a refund is given for any days not taken, if leave is early.

Chellis invites players from all over the world to attend. The games right now are only a pre-nomer, with only chellians. In one week, the real games will begin. Players will be put on random teams, though players may ask to be on the same team before being given one. Players who break any rules, including attacking living areas(which are isolated from the actual fighting areas), abusing the system, which partially lies on honor alone, and anything else in the rulebook will be kicked from the game.

Further rules will be given to soldiers as they come to the games. These winter games are perfect for this, the town is very snowed upon. Every day, each team gets points for what parts of the game they control, the 5 parts of the center of the town each give a point a day, and the forest area to the east of the town is 3 points a day. Same rules apply basically. Each team is allocated vehicles, mostly for transport, though some have guns that work. Each man gets a radio and a PDA with GPS and location identification. The town is not huge, but its a town that held 40,000 with little overcrowding.

Check out our website at www.ChellianArena.com, to make arrangements to come."

OOC: This will be a large part character RP, though the 'war' part will play a big part as well. Have some fun with this. The 'soldiers' can go around the city from 9pm to 1am, even interact with the other team... Im sure you can think of some good stories in a mostly deserted city, with no cops... Though the chellian military is there nominally, as a police force...
