About a dozen green hyperspace gates opened on the outskirts of the Tamqora system, on the rim of the Shadow Tech territory. They widened and convulsed as a pair of massive carriers and ten destroyers appeared. They looked like they had been piled together from a collecion of different technologies. They were ugly and asymetrical, but bristling with weapons nonetheless.
"Fleet chieftan, this is Quillbeast. All spearthrowers and lightning launchers report ready to go."
"Lok'narosh, Quillbeast. This is Fleet Chieftan Gul'dan. All ships, fire!"
The "spearthrowers" turned out to be massive kinetic weapons, and the lightning launchers were ion batteries. They fired at random intervals, disabling Tamqora's defenses. Pods and crude transport ships began swarming down to the planet.
