A buff-looking man with a skimask on with an AK-47 in hand along with a Uzi is on-screen.

"We are Communists United. I am Josef Lenin and we have taken control of the Crazed Baseball Fans embassy in downtown Parris Island(ooc: CM puppet). We shall execute all the members in the embassy if any attempt to free the hostages are made, any member of my group is killed, or Crazed Marines does not revert to Communism. This is my message. If it is not replied to within an hour by the CM officials, we shall shoot a hostage starting with the security personnel and then going up the pecking order to the ambassador. After that, every ten minutes a hostage will be killed."

"Yuri!" Josef screamed, "Is the mini-nuke set up?"

"Nyet! The bumbling fools Donald and Ivan let me do it alone!" a man replied fearfully.

"Well then, I'll set it up with you and deal with those two later." Josef replied

Josef walked over to the two men who had let him down.
"You bumbling fools disobeyed my direct orders. Now as your punishment, you must go to the rooftop and work as observers!"

"Why? We didn't do anything wrong?" one man protested.

Josef pulled out his pistol and shot the man in the foot.

"Nevermind boss, i'll take my rifle and go up without question!" the injured man said as he wrapped up his foot and reached for his Druganov.

"That's better. Now move!" The angry leader said as he holstered his pistol.

"Sir, we're getting a message from a space colony. Apparently, a bunch of hostages are being held captive. And, we're detecting what I think is a nuke near them," Major Sakata said.

"What is the survival priority?" Captain Jennis asked.

"Low," Sakata said.

"Then target the building or whatever with our disruptor cannons and charge them. Contact all ships in the area and ask one with teleporters to beam them up. Then, we'll just open fire and demolish the building," Jennis said.

"Transmitting now," Sakata said.

~Electronic Communication to All Ships~
Would someone with transporters teleport up the hostages? We're sending coordinates. Once you do, we'll demolish the building with a couple of shots and this terrorist threat will be over.
-Captain Jennis

OOC: An edit was made. I have a few ships in the area, a few problems with terrorists as a history, and a few people who have nothing better to do. This would be a good time for a bad reaction to the idea, but not a military reaction. After all, you certainly don't want some ship trying to shoot one of your colonies anymore than someone detonating a nuke on it.

Also, it is a chance for them to try to give a good impression. The last impression your people got of DLE forces came mostly from a dictator now mostly absent.

If you want me gone, say so. I'll withdraw my posts and not continue.

Repsonse to DLE ships
Halt your actions! You have invaded our territory, tresspassed into a restricted over the dome, and you have targeted a friendly nation's embassy in OUR CAPITAL with charged weapons. You will power down all systems except life support on all your ships and prepare for boarding. We remind you that you are in our territory and doing otherwise would prove very, very bloody. If you will look around, you will see that there are around five thousand graviton mines forming an interlocking gravity shield around your fleet immobilizing them. If you so much as move a ship, your entire fleet will be crushed.

We wish to send a contingent of our Brothers Battle to help resolve this hostage situation. Our troops are equipped with non-lethal weapons, and we believe we can bring the hostages out alive, and the terrorists out to justice.

Jennis turned and glared at Sakata upon recieving the communication. He was not pleased, as it was her job to keep track of territories and when they were passing close to an area they shouldn't. He felt very lucky the majority of the ships in Earth Orbit were unaware of this and, being a total of ten since the fleet was dispatched back home a few years ago, only the one was in CM space. But, even one was a violation of CM space.

"Sakata, do as they say and order the marines to disarm and disarmor," Jennis said.

"But, sir, General Order Eight says..." Sakata said.

"Cut the power, you stupid mejnot, before I throw you out an airlock to test how explosive those mines are. We're legally under their laws and will continue to be until we exit their space or die. You know the policy Ministress Soybayun put in place when she was Acting Dictator still applies, mejnot," Jennis said.

Gulping, Sakata keyed in the commands for the ship to power down. She then relayed Jennis's orders to the rest of the crew, trying to ignore their groans as they very audibly removed their spacial armor and weapons. She silently hoped they would not be put to death or, worse, in prison.

OOC: Not a problem. Ship forces convert to ground forces with ease. My military isn't, as you have observed in the past, that structurally advanced yet. Also, the fleet was dispatched, at the time of this, back to Terran a few years in the past. I typically play each RP as though it is all happening at the particular moment it starts, so timeline-wise this is several years after the events of Cherry Ridge.

Very well. You know the route. We'll see y'all in a few. Just remember, we want these guys dead anyways. So if you kill them, good. If you capture them, they'll get a 21 gun salute fired horizontally.

To DLE
Very Well. The Marines are en route in their shuttles. Direct us to your airlocks and we'll monitor your ships from the inside. We'll let you do the piloting. Mind you, if you do something "bad" that we feel is intentional, your crw members may be shot without a question raised from us. The mines will remain on passive standby until you are in our impound shipyards where you will be treated like any merchant vessel, except with a few guards every deck.

"We advocate the rights of workers worldwide, but deplore such tactics as terrorism. The embassy workers have done nothing. It greatly displeases us that leftists are lowering themselves to such levels, as it reflects badly on efforts to increase the rights of workers internationally. We support efforts to bring these terrorists to justice.

The Samaritan Brothers Battle stepped out of their shuttles, striding quickly and efficiently across the landing bay. They had chosen their light exo-skeletons in favor of their more common powered armor, not only for speed, but also for dexterity. The bulky suits of powered armor did not lend themselves to graceful movement, and none of the Paladins were willing to risk the lives of the innocent embassy workers. At their head was Paladin Oburo, his helmet under one metal-clad arm, revealing his piercing brown eyes and dark complexion. A few words were exchanged with the CM dockhands and a policewoman appeared to escort the Brothers to their forward positions.

The Police officers took the warriors to the embassy. It was covered up by police, military, SWAT, commandos, and snipers. There was no way that anyone could get out. The warriors were then shown to the CP and staging points.

OOC: They're on a P3X40. I don't think it has more than one deck. Remember that I use altered Siesatian fighters.

Also, as stated on my factbook thread, marines are the lowest rank in DLE military forces. That explains their reactions to being boarded by marines and Jennis's "knowledge." They don't realize that in most cultures Marines serve a different role.

IC:

The DLE soldiers complied, frowning as the small ship became crowded by the CM marines. Jennis wondered silently why they would send low-level grunts on such a mission, but figured the grunts were well trained. If they were trained as well as their position indicated, Jennis knew his crew of four could easily take the entire CM contingent, but the moment they did they would become a rogue ship hunted by both CM and DLE military forces, and beiing hunted by DLE forces meant all of their hiding places would be worthless. Then, there were the mines.

Jennis piloted the ship to where he was told, having had Sakata move so the marines could get a good view of his control consol. Once the ship landed, Jennis held his hands on the back of his head in the standard Sarkarasetan posture of being nonthreatening. He wondered, for a brief moment, where that posture had evolved from, as the few Sarkarasetan records mentioning it refered to it being developed by a previous culture they evolved from.

"My crew is under your command," Jennis said.

"Good." the Marine commander said, "Our Blood Rangers will enter the bridge of every ship now. I want your men to take your ships in to the docks since we have no knowlege of your ships compared to you." As the Colonial said that, a Blood Ranger entered each ship in their full armor (think capital ship on a man's back...kinda like a mech)

*at the Command center*
The Commander of the rescue effort entered with maps under his arm and said, "Ok, negotiators on on their way. Here's the blueprints. Its pretty standard with offices, supply rooms, bathrooms, and even the occasional sewer line. Everything has been cut off that could fit a man. The Sewers are being patrolled by the Navy SEALs, the roof is covered by snipers, the attack and transport helicopters are on stand-by, and we have a dozen teams ready for a breach. We're starting to conduct PsyOps, playing 'Hells Bells' over the PAs mounted on the chopers. Our plan is to put some subliminal messages in the air telling them to let the hostages go and come out. KEEP YOUR HEADSET ON! We're broadcasting a countersignal on it to ward the messages out of your head. We suggest no more than 10 minutes without your headsets. Any questions?"

Paladin Oburo nodded and turned to his Brothers and Sisters, "Remember the commander's words well, for this is his land, and these are his people we must rescue."

The Paladins nodded gravely, then began activating their PEP repeating blasters. Similar to the non-lethal PEP pistols and rifles, the repeaters were designed for use with powered armor, and thus were larger and had a faster rate of fire. Each one was soon fully charged, and the Paladins prepared to receive their assignments. Depending on what jobs were given, breaching charges, sensor devices, and other items would be allocated.

"A PEP-blaster? You have to be kidding me!" the lead team's number two (commander) shouted in bemusement. "Those things are for riots and little children! This is time you guys step up to the big boys league and get yourself something lethal. From what I remember about this group, when they were brought in during a demonstration the PEP pistols we used didn't even phase them. We believe that they had a few back at their HQ and worked for a few years to become resistant to the balst caused by it. They might also be wearing multiple layers of clothes in order to stop such a move. I suggest you pick up a MP5sd and use those. You can come back from being KO'ed, but you cant come back from death."

Paladin Oburo turned his weapon to reveal the controls, and in plain view of the Crazed Marines commander, slid the force setting from "Normal" to "Shotgun Blast." A high-pitched whine emitted from the weapon as the capacitors charged up even more.

OOC Mind If I join in? If so I will deleate this post. I would like it to be known, this is a part of the Tsurani Empire that was left behind at earth. They are a offshoot of human, though they will not look it. BTW, this is Alethria, I just can't be bothered to log in.

IC The Avenger class shuttle moved through space, a message had been forwaned to the Crazed Marines, and the Brotherhood of Nod ((National Order of Deffence)) the Alethrian Anti-Terrorist Agency had almost 10% of the Army ingrafted. The shuttle came through fast, landing on one of the platforms. The men ran out, their Zat'A'Lik Pistols and Rifles. The weapons used the idea from the Stargate Series, besides the shape. The pistols resembled a Glock 13, and the rifles a AK-47. They ran up to the Crazed Marines, and their faces where a Coffee cream colour. The problem most people would find with them was that all of them had pure white eyes with small dots in the center barly visible. The hair was the same white, bleached of all colour, and they wore it long, with no way to hold it up.

"Sorry we are late" He said, "We had problems with the hyperspace." He flicked his armour on, witch blended into the surrounding area. His men did the same. "Want us anywhere?"

The Men nodded, although the Marines would have difficulty seeing them under the Camoflage the charmelion Armour. The moved, and the light padding they where wearing sounded down the movement. They moved with a fluid grace. They waited at one of the entrances, and used the viedio feed in the helmate. The Feed showed a blueprint of the building, and they made a cheak to find the best location for the weapons.

The Alethrian Charmilion's moved through the various entrances, their weapons ready. They moved through the building, cheaking each room as they went. One passed a terrorist, and holding compleatly still, the terrorist walked passed, noticing no more then a shimmer in the air. The man ran and found the largest number of terrorists, and punched it through to the commander still on the ship. He, in turn, sent the message to the Crazed Marines.

-We have a average map of the locations of most terrorists, please come look, and show where the bomb locations might be.-

Oburo gestured to his Paladins, then planted the breaching charge. The bio-sensors in his exoskeleton confirmed the location of a number of the terrorists, as well as the hostages on this level.

They tensed, waiting for the signal from the CM commander. Every member of the team was prepared to race in, guns blazing.

The Black Hawks moved through the building. They found the Ambassotors office, and waited for one of the Terrorists to leave. When they did, two managed to slip in, one a Legendary Selucid, known as the living computer programs. Keeping under the camoflage, the Selucid sliped over to the bomb, and placed a gloved hand on it. Small wire brissles came up, stabing themselves into his nevers. He read the entire data code, the messaging. He smiled, this networking was nothing. He recoded the mechaisum, so when the Communist thought they where turning the weapon on, they would be cutting all power sorces, as well as the main wires. He almost giggled as he slipped to the door.

He sent a worded message to everyone outside.

-Weapon disabled, move in, move in.- This was picked up by the coms officer in the ship, who relayd the message to the entire opperation.

"We are ready to move, the Selucid has promised us that the bomb is disabled, so we can be sure."

30-11-2004, 18:51
"This is command. Hawks, stay in place and control the bombsite. All other units, MOVE IN!"

At that que, twenty teams stormed twenty different places in the building. The trap was sprung and the terrorists were out of luck.
New Exodus
01-12-2004, 01:01
Paladin Oburo gave the signal, and Brother Lucas began to chant his disorientation prayer. If it worked, the terrorists would have their reactions slowed by barely perceptible levels, but enough to allow the hostages to be secured. Four different New Exodus breaching charges went off on two levels, and in poured the Paladins. Oburo, as commander, was not allowed to go in first, but was able to watch the progress of the point men and women.

The very first was one of the Sisters (Note: She is not actually a nun, despite the title.), Paladin Hamad, who leapt with catlike grace thanks to the exoskeleton. She fired three blasts at an equal number of terrorists, tossing each one like a rag doll. Before the unconcious men hit the floor, she managed to lob two flash-bangs down the hall, then turned to secure the prisoners as her fellow Samaritans proceeded deeper into the rooms.

The rest of her team dashed in, blasting away at anything that even looked threatening. After all, the hostages would doubtless forgive their rescuers for a little rough treatment, especially in a duty-driven nation like Crazed Marines.

The team on the floor above had managed to reach the hostages within four seconds of breaching, and had taken down seven terrorists. But what would have been a great success was marred by a fluke. One of the communists had managed to resist the disorientation enough to shoot a hostage, but the wound might not be fatal. The combat medics were already working on the innocent, while the entire team formed a protective perimeter around the hostages on that level. Slowly, they moved outward to clear the rest of the level...

As the clocked ticked inexorably on, a number of the communists had recovered their senses and begun returning fire. The exoskeletons were armored, but they were too light to be completely proof against small arms One of the Paladins was brought down when the servos of his left leg were hit by a lucky burst, but he was quickly dragged to safety by one of his Sisters. Another member of the team was unfortunate enough to encounter an enemy soldier with an RPG, but the rocket went wide and only left the Paladin with shrapnel wounds to his torso and right arm. The terrorist got a full-power blast to the gut, knocking the wind out of her and possibly causing internal injury.

Blast!, the wounded Paladin thought, I will have to ensure her survival, even if only to see him executed for her crimes.

The Communist terrorists were disorientated. The mind numbing by the musicand New Exodus' prayers had worked. Only one terrorist (the leader) had managed to shoot one hostage. This one hostage, however, was the problem. The Ambassador had been shot thru his leg with poisoned bullets. As Josef was shot down, he knifed the Ambassador as well. As Josef was knocked unconcious, his friends were also being brought down. Most of the terrorists were incapicated due to New Exodus' PEP weapons. However, three had their heads blown off by snipers using .50 caliber rifles and four by a full clip of an Uzi each, directly to the head. The cleanup would be fun, as the Communist traitors were being made to clean up all the blood and brains of their "commrads" with their tongues.

*Twenty minutes after the storming of the compound*

All the hostages and traitors had been sorted out. They began the trials of the terrorists in a 5 foot square tent. The Prosicutor was the Commander of the entire rescue operation.

"Josef Lenin. You have been hereby convicted a traitor. Do you have any last words?" the Marine Commander asked.

"I..." The terrorist said before he was interrupted.

"Oops! TOO LATE!" The commander drew out his pistol and shot the traitor through his temple. Bloods and brains splattered across the tent and the body crumpled like a sack of beans.

"Next. All parties in State versus Yuri Zengei." The Commander said as he cleaned the blood off his gun's bore.

"Excuse me Colonial!" an aide said, "The Ambassador just died. They had the bleeding from the bullet hitting his femoral artery stopped, but they failed to see a knife wound nearby. He bled to death."

"Thanks for telling me Joe. Could you please bring me the next prisoner and a welding torch? Thanks"

The Samaritans all knelt, lay prostrate, stood, or sat in silent prayer. The wounded Paladins also closed their eyes or bowed their heads. They thanked their various deities for the blessing of an operation gone relatively well, and prayed for the soul of the Ambassador. They also then prayed that the terrorists might repent their sins, and be forgiven. Although there was no question that the enemy would be executed, the Paladins felt it was a just punishment.
