The zodiac sliced through the evening water, Hanif clutched his AK and made sure that nothing on him was shinning. His accomplaces did that same. In all 5 boats were trailing the oil tanker cruising towards the suez canal, security would be lax as these waters had not recieved much trouble in recent times.

On board Captain Keyes checked everything was ok on the bridge before handing the ship over to the first mate while he went to get some shut eye. In a week he would be retiring, this would be his last trip. They had several million barrels of prime crude onboard and he had no doubt that they would end up where they were ment to and on time. Gazing at a picture of his children he drifted off to sleep

Unknown to the rest of the crew one of them had turned against them. Jim was poor and the monet those men in the port had offered him was just too much to refuse, they had proimsed him that they only ment to steal the cargo and would leave the crew adrift in lifeboats. He wandered out on deck and lit up a fag. He was on his own, no one saw him lower the ladders down the side of the ship

Hanif saw there man lower the ladders as instructed, the poor fool had been so easy to convince that the crew would be spared. The zodians all saw the same signal as Hanif and they sped toward the lumbering tanker, they quickly redied themselves for boarding and began to assend the ladders. Once all 20 had got on deck they spread out and hid. Hanif walked to the pawn "how many are there on the bridge?"

The terrists quickly stormed the rest of the tanker, they slew all they found and dumped there bodies into the hold. Once they were certain there was no one leftalive 10 men began a watch while Hanif met his aides on he bridge. "the ship is secure, instruct the men to begin placing the charges along the hull of the ship, remeber its double hulled so make sure you have enough to completely tear through one side of the ship. I will keep an eye on the tides, we must make sure that we remain undected untill i am certain that the crude will be washed onto the shore of the ziontsts pigs and not into the sea. OOC:the zodiacs arnt launching an attack. They were hauled aboard the tanker once it had been taken over. Im not sure how you want to do this but i'll right up a post as if you are where isreal is.

IC: Hanif began to swing the massive tanker toward the coast of IDF, he turned to his deupty "get in touch with the port, make sure they know we want refuel. You have the details of our backers accounts so make sure they get the money straight away, i don't want any problems on the approach."

He looked out across the deck of the ship, already his men had made sure that there weapons were well and truly hidden, only a detailed search of the hold would uncover the explosives. He continued to set the on board computer so that even if the crew abandoned the ship it would still get to the target zone. Metal plates had be welded to hamper any bomb diffusion efforts and remote detonators attached.

Hanif was done for now, tomorrow he would destroy some of the consols to prevent the ship being taken offcourse by any foreign forces that decided to board. Once they had got to within a certain point of the coast there would be nothing that cold be done, several million gallons of crude would spill onto the beaches of their enemies. More was to follow.

IC: Hanif was disturbed in the night, a message had come through. There had been a change in plan, they were to make sure that all the explosives they had were rigged up before smashing full speed into the main terminal at the port and detonating the explosives. At that the new orders were passed on to the men, it should be no problem, the port had been given for warning that their tanker wanted to refuel, if they hit they destroyed the fuel depo it should cause a massive explosion. Hanif went up to the bridge and set the new course before setting the ship to full speed.

OOC2:ill just finish off this one attack for now, if you want to rp at this point just ignore this last bit. They'll be plenty more rp opportunities in the future so dont think your missing out. I just want to get this one over and done with.

IC: The tanker began heading fr the fuel depo in the port, at first it all seemed normal but then the port staff realised that it wasnt slowing down, a tanker that size would take about 2km to stop but this one seemed oblivious to that fact.

Hanif stood on the bridge and watched as the port came closer and closer. He had picked out a point as close as possible to fule lines and tanks that would help him in his task. As he aproached his death Hanif was glad that it would be he who struck the first blow on this war against the infedels.

The tanker hit the side of the docks as people watched helplessly. The masive ship had been traveling at about 28km/h when it hit. The sound of stell groaning echoed round the wharehouses of the docks. As the cripled tanker slowly came to a halt explosives withing it ripped it apart. The huge fuel tank detonated sending buring fuel everywhere. The air was filled with debris and oil, peopel ran as secondary explosions lit up the sky.

IC: Scott Brolen had been working the mid-afternoon shift at the Haifa dock yards that night. He saw the large tanker coming at a high speed and tried to get a warning out. "Holy SHIT!" he yelled as he saw that the giant SUEX class tanker came barreling towards the fueling portions of the dock at a speed of 24 knots.

The warning this late was of little use. The supertanker hit the fuelling station blowing it and itself up. Brolen and over 500 other employees on the docks were killed. Debris flew up for a few miles. The explosion was only 400 yards from the Israeli Petrol Refinery in Haifa, the end point of the Israeli-Ottoman oil pipeline that was essential for the economy of the port city. The refinery blew up in a massive fireball that was reminicent of the only such explosion ever in Texas during the 1940's.

The large dockyards was home to cruise ship terminal. 6 cruise liners were tied up with many passengers aboard or nearby on their excursions. The Holland American Line MS Rotterdam and another ship of the line, the MS Statendam were both blown up by the explosion killing 4,450 people aboard. Norwegian cruise lines also had a pair of ships in port, both were blown up along with the 5,600 aboard them. One of the final liners was a Cunard liner. Most of the passengers were ashore so only 1,480 aboard her were killed. The final liner was the small Windsurf, owned by Carnival Cruise Corp. The 525 aboard her were killed.

There were 27 various cargo type ships that were killed by the attack, an additional 13 were damaged. They came from numerous nations. Of their crews, 5,142 were killed.

There was an IDF Naval base 8,000 feet from the refinery. Debris rained down on parts of the base. Some buildings including the administration building and some aircraft hangars were destroyed or damaged. Few of the Med fleets's ships were tied there, but enough were there to have serious damage. 1 of the IDF's few active Nimitz CVNs was damaged when a 2 ton piece of flaming debris went through the flight deck and 1 deck below the hangar deck causing a massive fire and over 1,000 casualties. The carrier, the ISS Toro is only 20 years old so it will be repaired and ready to rejoin the fleet in 18 months. 1 Farragat DDG, and 3 Ramon class DDGs along with 4 mothballed Perry FFGs were destroyed. A total of 8,500 IDF Naval personnel were killed and 5,600 more were injured as many barracks were destroyed. Over 100 aircraft were also lost.

The beachfront south of the refinery had dozens of hotels. All 21 hotels within 1.7 miles of the refinery took damage, some were completely destroyed and leveled by the explosion. Over 20,000 civilian guests were killed and an additional 23,000 injured. The guests came from numerous nations.

There were also numerous high rise condos and other homes within a 2 mile radius of the blast. In these places there were 41,000 residents. Over 35,000 were killed or wounded.

“Sir, it appears that a large explosion occurred in in Haifa,” said Captain Jim Morris of the IDF Army. “It appears that we have been attacked. A dock watcher called in a warning. It appears that a tanker crashed into the fueling base and destroyed the refinery nearby.”

“Well I'll be damned,” whispered Ballard. “Call Secretary Angelo NOW!”

“Much of Haifa has been destroyed by terrorists,” began Secretary of Defense Jerry Angelo. “It was a terrorist act, Mossad is trying to figure out who it is.”

Attention turned to Mossad chief Avi ben Jacob. “We are unsure still on who did it,” he began. “But, since we made peace with the Muslims and even have many joint economic ventures the list is narrowed. This is obviously a group that has some knowledge of our ports. There was a time 4 decades ago when the Labor Party was still in power that there was a system of cowing to and paying off terrorist groups to not attack. The only such group in existance is the HLF. Many of you know that this policy of giving a few of the older cargo versions of the Farragat ships to the group in exchange for a promise not to attack. It was the pubic knowledge of this wuss policy that led to the Labor's demise and the rise of New Likud Yisrael.”

“Fucking Labor party,” muttered Williams as he realized that this was a problem of their making. “It would seem they are the only possibility. Secretary, I want you to flatten the bastards, conventional weapons only though. I don't care if you have to kill all their civilians, I want that nation annexed. The bastards will pay.”

HLF was an Islamic nation and fairly close to IDF geographically. IDF fighters and bombers would have no problem reaching the puny nation. The Navy under the command of Admiral Joseph Jacobson would be sent for bombardment and also to blockade the nation. IDF was taking the gloves off and would make sure this was the last time IDF took abuse from terrorist scum.

The IDF fleet was being prepared to sail quickly. Over 1,000 warships and logistical ships were being readied to sail. Despite the close proximity, the sheer numbers of ships would cause them to take over a week to get everything in position. The 4 remaining Guillen DBNs and their SAGs and 9 of the 12 Tribe classCVNs with their CVBGs would be the 1st assets sent as they were the bulk striking force. SSN squadrons would actually be the 1st to arrive due to speed and the fact that they just traveled under water. IDF would call up 1.25 million ground troops plus an additional 2.2 million logistical backline soldiers. The ground troops weren't being sent yet, the 1st phases of the war would likely be air and naval strikes.

The known enemy Navy was mainly a dozen old and outdated IDF made Farragat type I stealth merchant DD. They were barely armed as shipped 40 years ago and without proper and regular maintenance the ships wouldn't run as well or have the stealthy signatures. Besides, IDF Ramon DDG hulls were better and the Chicago FFGs had trimarian and better stealthed hulls and Radars that easily detected the new Farragat type IV DDG or type III merchant DD, let along the type 1 merchant DD.

Secretary Tommy Philson was working after spending the last 22 hours without sleep. IDF's Magen David Adom rescue workers were working to recover from what was the greatest catastrophe and terrorist attack in the history of IDF, a nation quite accustomed to this type of event decades ago during the issues with the Palestinians that had since been settled.

The IDF aid workers were not enough. Blood viles were running low and along with the 150,000 deaths there were over 200,000 injured people and 100,000s homeless or evacuated people. Fires were raging still in Haifa and dry windy conditions were causing them to spread. Many fire departments from across the nation were helping, but to no avail.

"God damnit," groused Assistant Director Lars Tannebaum, as he tried wearily to wipe the sleep from his eyes. "What the damn hell is worthy of waking me up at this ungodly hour?" The Asst. Director had trouble adjusting to the duties of a full leadership position due to the abscence of Valerie Fenton, particularly when it came to emergency Directorate meetings.

"Exactly," complained the Imperial Reserve chairman, Dr. Milton Greenspan, who was getting on in years.

Suddenly, the dim room was illuminated by the plasma screens mounted on the wall, showing a live news feed of the carnage in IDF.

The assembled staff looked on, transfixed with horror, until the coverage was interrupted by overall estimates of human losses.

Executor Xavier Davidson, chief of state, walked in, just as the lights went on.

"As you can see, gentlemen," said a white-faced Executor, "Our allies in the IDF have become victim of a disgusting, cowardly attack.

Tyrandis National Intelligence Agency operatives have been unable as of yet in determining a perpetrator, despite their best efforts. The IDF Mossad, have ascertained that the nation responsible is a rogue state known only as 'The HLF.'

Approximately five hundred persons with Tyrandis citizenship were killed in the attack, mainly dockworkers and vacationers.

Retaliatory efforts are already underway, as the entire IDF navy has been mobilized on the offensive. We have already issued a communique indicating our complete support, and air assets under General Aya Matsuura have been pledged to the invasion. Furthermore, the majority of Task Force DRAGON is expected to return within the week, and will be redeployed to the offensive."

"Asst. Director Tannebaum," motioned the Executor to the temporary head of Foreign Affairs, "I want all humanitarian aid we can afford given to IDF. Blood, medical supplies, everything they may need."

The discussion continued, while the air force of Tyrandis prepped themselves for the coming slaughter...

"General," breathlessly, the aide gave a salute, "there's been an attack on Haifa."
"How bad?" Her attention shifted seamlessly from OVERSIGHT views to her aides news.
"A tanker was kamikazed on the port. Large numbers of civilians hurt or dead, property damage is significant."
"Our forces?"
"Four submarine packs and two fleets were in the area, along with elements of the 927th corps. SOP had the submarines at sea, and the "Red Fleet" units were in the Red Sea, looking over the area before the wargame next month."
General Riva Sola al-Din nodded. "What casualties, Captain?"
"Fourth Fleet Reports: One Kirov, two Arleigh Burkes, and nine Farraguts destroyed by wreckage. One of the Guillens has significant damage and will be drydocked for at least six months, the other has cosmetic damage to the superstructure, two launchers out, one main gun will need work - one week at most.
"Elements of the Fifth fleet were at sea, so they suffered less damage. Two Cherokees and nine of the fourteen Elmos seriously to critically damaged. There is also deck damage to six Slingers, requiring repair and replacement of tiles and repair of launch tubes."

The aide took a deep breath.

"Due to the way IDF had our ships berthed, major damage was taken by our support fleet. Five of the six Cadecus hospital ships were destroyed; the sixth suffered external damage, but is operational and in use in the aid mission. We also lost three Corbin resupply vessels, with an additional eight suffering significant damage; two Vulture tankers were destroyed, three damaged; and nine Atlas freighters suffered damage, but none sunk.

"One division of the 927th Corps was in the area, and has been allocated to aid missions; we lost approximately 150 troops in the blast, not including sailors, owing greatly to the long R&R and general movement of the troops as far from port as possible. The other three divisions were further south, owing to IDF's request for our spreading out our troops R&R locations. All are being recalled for aid missions."

The pencil in the General's hand snapped. "Scramble the 222nd, 255th, 383rd, and 6299th MASH battalions to Haifa. Inform Admiral's Sif and Gurgi they are to aid and assist IDF in all operations. Do we have any idea who the perpetrators are?"

"According to the release by IDF, it was a nation called HLF."

"Assign additional fleets W-7 and -8 to theater. Effective immediately, all fleets and wolfpacks are to engage retalitory strikes on HLF, Code Green."

The glow from the explosion at Haifa was detected by a Izistani reconnaissance satellite , the images and data were quickly relayed from the satellite through a network of other satellites until it was transmitted to a area some twenty kilometers from the town of Coral Point.

The location of Space Reconnaissance Command, the location that processed and analyzed all images taken by the reconnaissance satellites. These fellows were quite dumbfounded by the image of the inferno that had been the Haifa docks. The first thought that went through the heads of the analysts was that somehow a nuclear weapon had been detonated. The data that followed dispelled their fears of a nuclear exchange but they did their jobs and relayed the information to High Command. By this time, the IDF goverment had announced what had happened and this was relayed as well.

After the fires are out the 1st priority of rebuilding will be the oil pipeline that goes from Ottoman Khaif oil fields to the Haifa harbor. Without it, the world economy will suffer. In the IDF commodity markets, oil futures for December went from $32.50 all the way to $48.25 and that only stopped when we froze prices. Thank you for our aid.

Northwind AFB was a hive of activity as a series of Z-12 transport planes were loaded with teams of Izistani medical personal and crates of equipment, and various refrigerated stores of plasma and blood. At the same time, a group of firefighters were preparing to leave with the medical personal.

The first of many Z-12's took off and made for Tel Aviv.

OOC: TAG. Wow, the HLF is back, and with a vengence.

IC: In the port of Umbar, in southern Intelligent Neighbors, hundreds of thousands of men were gathering, all armed to the teeth with a selection of AK-47/74's, RPG-7's and other cheap weaponry. For about 5 hours the port slowly filled with men, the atmosphere was exciting, something was going to happen.

At about 3pm, a sound of a helicopter rose above the din of the crowd. A Marsupial Gunship appeared, and set down in the middle of the crowd, it parted to make room. The door slid back, and a man stepped out. He was clad in a trenchcoat, which swirled around him in the wind. He wore a grey uniform, with the Iron Cross, marking him as a general of the armed forces, pinned to his pocket. His face was grim, and a long scar ran across his left cheek. His gloved hands reached up and he pulled himself onto the to helicopter, avoiding the now still blades. The man pulled a pistol out of his deep pocket and fired into the air.

The crowd became still and quiet, and turned to look at the figure standing confidently on the top of the helicopter.

The man began to talk to the crowd, in a quiet voice that seemed to travel through the air.

"Today you have been called here. Today you have a purpose, to carry out the will of the Emperor, even to the point of death.

I too am willing to lay down my life for our Lord, and I have done before too. I am Von Luck, first General to the Emperor!"

(OOC: Von Luck is a legendary figure in Intelligent Neighbors, ever since he took a bullet for the Emperor in an assassination attempt.)

"Today you will follow me, we are going on a mission, to carry the word of the Emperor to those who need it. We will massacre all who oppose us. There will be no mercy, no respite. The heathens will be cleansed! We will purify them with their blood!"

Von Luck steps down from the helicopter, to massive cheering and the firing of weapons. He steps into the helicopter, and, standing in the doorway, flies toward the large ship anchored in the harbour. He lands on the deck and motions for the crowd to enter the ship.

The crowd begins to move onto the ship, and the neighboring two identical ships. After a further 2 hours of loading, the ships begin to leave harbour. Von Luck stands on the prow of the lead ship, staring out to sea as the wind swirls his trenchcoat around him.

Moving on to retaliation. We understand that the purpetraters of this attack has been identified, and as such, we are willing to invoke the mutual defence clause within the OMP charter in order to allow military aid for your campaign against the HLF and the regimes that support them.

Sirs, it appears that you have fallen foul of the attentions of the terrorist group known as the HLF. This attack was both cowardly and without resolve, a worthy opponent never attacks when his adverserys back is turned. Therefore, we offer you substantial military aid for your approaching invasion of HLF, our black sea navy and thousands of regular troops stand at your disposal. Furthermore, we can offer Islamic forces from the Free State of Azerbaijan who would be, in our opinion, vital for restructuring the shattered nation. Please respond if you wish to accept our aid.

I will reiterate that I will not use WMDs, but civilians will still get killed and if you are uncomfortable with that I can't ask you to go any further. We won't hold it against you if you can't send aid in the war. What we need most of all is medical supplies anyways.

300 miles South of HLF
Only 25% of the IDF surface fleet had arrived at their designated waypoint by this time. Over 40% of the submarine fleet had arrived also. The blockade and bombardment was ready.

On the flag bridge of the ISS Guillen, flagship of the IDF fleet, Admiral Joseph Jacobson stood peering out onto the dark sea with an overcast gray sky. No sunset would be viewed this evening. It almost seemed that this was fitting to the mood of the fleet he thought. “Fleet General Quarters!” he called ordering every ship under his command and in striking range to get to battlestations.

The Guillen herself was the 1st ship to open fire. At 20:05 on the 15th of November 2004, The giant behemoth fired 18 30” shells from her ETC guns at a range of 300 miles. The shells were aimed at coastal cities in HLF. The primary targets were airfields, Naval bases, harbors, government centers, military installations, communications infrastructure, and transportation infrastructure. The giant ship repeated the firing sequence every 50 seconds.

4 Netanyahu class BDNLs did the same, but with their 15 smaller 25” ETC guns. 5 Arizona class BBNs also did the same with their 12 20” ETC guns. The 1 Iowa II on station loosed 32 TLAMs at shore emplacements, but did not fire her guns yet as she was not in range. 3 Cherokee class arsenal ships launched a total of 2,250 TLAMs at some further inshore targets. The missiles could carry 1,000 pounds general explosive or cluster munitions 1,200 miles from their launch point. Cluster munitions tended to be launched at military bases to kill tanks and other softer targets or even airfields. Larger explosives went for bunker emplacements. Both types were launched into cities to wreak havoc in HLF. 5 Imperator class arsenal ships launched a total of 3,000 TLAMs into HLF. The 8 arsenal ships then went towards some replenishment ships where they would restock on their missiles for their VLS cells.

There were 3 12 Tribe class CVNs on station. They launched a total of 570 F-35C JSFs along with 5 E-2C Hawkeyes to get a good look on the war. The fighters moved inland with a loadout of 6 various AAMs, 2 AGM-88 HARMs, and 2 small ASM 65D Maverick missiles. The stealth fighters worked their way North to strike enemy planes and air defenses along the coast. As soon as they got in range they'd fire their loadout.

There were 4 older Yorktown CVNs in place. Between the 4 carriers, 96 F-14D super-tomcats went aloft under the control of 2 E-2C Hawkeyes and multiple Aegis radars. They were armed with 4 AIM-54E Phoenix missiles, 2 AMRAAMs,and 2 AIM-9X Sidewinders. Their job was simply air superiority with their Phoenix missiles with a 115nm range. There were also 200 F/A-18E super-hornets up from those 4 carriers moving North and armed with 4 AAMs and 6 various ASMs or even JDAMs.

The other carriers stood in reserve holding back so they could counter an offensive or just keep the bombing continuous. The dozens of submarines on the other hand had a job. The Halibut under the command of Commander (Captain selectee) Hyman G. Rickover III was leading the group. The submarines were working to blockade HLF and keep a handle on who was going in or out. The orders were to sink any non-allied ships that entered HLF waters. Few exceptions would be made.

Meir AFB, 25 miles North of Jerusalem. 2 infantry divisions were boarding their C-141C Starlifters. There was a total of 25,000 infantry soldiers that would land on the Southwest side of HLF. The soldiers were looking towards the runways in time to see F/A-22A Raptors from the 5th fighter wing joining what would be a total of 412 of the American designed stealth fighters. They were loaded with 6 AAMs and 4 ASMs each. E-767s were taking off under F-15C protection to control the air battle.

The IDFAF also then put up 124 F-117A Nighthawks loaded with 2 JDAMs each to take out enemy installations and other military targets. There were 72 B-2A Spirits at the Tel Aviv AFB preparing on the ramp. They were members of the 2nd, 4th, and 5th bomber wings. They were each loaded with 24 Mk-84 2,000 pound bombs. That bomb would level a city block. Their target was a large Western HLF city about 70 miles in from the border. Their job was to rain bombs in and hopefully show the HLF government and people what terrorism brought to sponsor nations. It was also possible bringing the war to them would force surrender.

The bombers would be escorted by 84 F-4G Phantom II Wild Weasels, old American built fighters that were sold to Israel during the 1973 war. IDF mechanics kept these planes ready and in reserve for a war like this. Their target was SAMs and AAAs to help pave the way for the bombers. 48 F-15Cs would help take out fighters in the way, but the Raptors would work with that.

At 2015, the Raptors and AWACs birds took off and headed East at a speed of mach 1.5 using their supercruise abilities. At a range of 40 miles to HLF, they started having their missiles track targets pointed out by the AWACs. At 40 miles they fired their AMRAAMs.

At 2045, the escorts for the bombers took off. 15 minutes later the bombers themselves took off. As soon as the escorts got over enemy airspace, their RWR systems activated to track SAM radars and AAAs. When they detected them, they answered with HARM missiles. A total of 16 F-4s were downed and 27 pilots killed, only 5 ejected.

9 F-15Cs were downed along with 5 of the priceless B-2As. Only 69 of the birds made it to the city at which point each plane carpet bombed with their 24 2,000 lb Mk-84 bombs.

After the bombing mission was completed, the C-141s rolled down the runway. The planes carrying 25,000 airborne troops took off at 2245. They dropped their troops 20 miles inside the enemy border. 600 troops failed to get there since 2 planes were downed early.

The Izistani fleet was nearing their objective quickly, though they would still arrive after the initial IDF strike. Soon they would be passing through the Suez Canal and from there they would join up with the IDF battlegroup and focus their efforts on HLF.

The IMS Walrus, a Charles de Gaulle class carrier, and the Imperator class IMS Shoal arsenal ship formed the core of the strike group. The Naval Marines onboard the transports were running drills and checking their equipment over and over. They were ready...

The four BK11 Fer-de-Lance bombers had been waiting for this moment since departing Izistan and refueling at Tel Aviv. Under both wings of the bombers hung a IM-23 ALCM, a enhanced land attack verison of the Russian AS-6 Kingfish; these were going to serve as Izistan's first strike on HLF. The missiles guidence computers sounded a tone in the headsets of the bomber crew, signaling that the missiles were ready for deployment. One by one, they dropped away from their carrier and their rocket engines fired; thrusting them towards their targets(eight C&C facilities) faster then the speed of sound.

Vastiva’s first strike option was less of a manned operation, and more of a flat out punch in the teeth to HLF.

Vastivan civilians had died – the Law of the Prophets was clear.

The Vastivan Combined Strike Fleet had arrayed itself some 50 nautical miles behind the IDF fleet in a crescent formation; 130 F-135 Peregrines flew patrols around the fleet.

Inside the crescent were the bulk of it’s Slinger SSGNs.

Twenty minutes behind the IDF strike, the SSGNs rose to periscope depth and began firing off sheaves of cruise missiles, set to strike at HLF cities.

High explosives would have been bad enough, but these fleets were those that had been allocated to the defense of Euroslavia. As such, they had expected anti-carrier operations.

And to Vastiva, that meant ACRATHERM – vaporous thermite, fuel air bombs with a kick. In WWII, the Allies had used firebombs to silence Dresden, Tokyo; those were to these as matches are to fireworks. Even shooting them down did not mean the missile was useless – the thermite would ignite and rain down, perhaps off target, but fire is fire.

6,600 missiles were allocated to the mission, a full half of them ACRATHERM fireball-in-a-box. Target primary was the HLF port, with 4,900 missiles allocated primarily to fuel depots, barracks, and drydocks. 100 were to swarm inside the hell IDF had created, adding coals to the flame.

The remainder (1,600) was set to fly through the city bombed out by IDF – and to strike the next closest major civilian center, turning it into a charred mass.

Skimming along at treetop level at Mach 4, the missiles began crashing into their targets a scant fifteen minutes after the IDF bombers had dropped their last. Set to hit in a pattern much like MIRV low-yield bombs, their reflected explosions would cause a firestorm of biblical proportions in a very short time.

Far off, Admiral Sif Mesfin al-Din watched the destruction occur from the perspective of the three OVERSIGHT satellites already in the region.

Their job done, the Slingers retreated to deeper water until they were needed again.

OOC: Notes on ACRATHERM : its made of a cellulose-based plastic, filled with "thermite" in vaporous form under pressure. Before it hits target (via laser in the head), it erupts and detonates the payload first with an electric arc scattercharge, then with the remaining Octol fuel splash. This sprays flaming material (2600 C peak burn) all over the target area. ACRATHERM is tacky on impact (it sticks), cannot be extinguished with water, and will burn through a cars engine block in approximately 90 seconds - from the top of the hood, through the engine and block and into the ground.

The IN fleet (3 Transport Vessels) slowly made it's way toward HLF waters, it noticed the fleets of IDF and allies, waiting off shore, firing into the nation of HLF. The IN fleet broadcast a message of peace to the other fleets, and moved onwards towards the shore.

Von Luck sat in his control room, talking to the captain of the ship.

"There's one thing I hate more than commies, and that's terrorists. We will drain the blood of our enemy, we will never give in. They will pay for their deeds."

The small fleet turned towards the beaches they had chosen to assualt, and messages came on over the loud speakers, telling the soldiers to get ready to board the landing craft.

Within the hour, 3,000 men were ready to land, on the three shores. They looked out towards the shore where many men would be waiting.

The Momanguise Naval Forces steamed silently to the very edge of the HLF's waters, joining the assembled fleets of the allied nations determined to punish the terrorist crimes of this dispicable nation. Two aircraft carriers had joined the battleship forces, and limping behind them at a safe distance came landing craft after landing craft, numerous thousands of Momanguise soldiers were packed into these floating steel containers, ready to hit the HLF beaches. Yet more support ships followed behind them, fuel and ammunition in abundance supporting the machines of destruction. Below them, fifty submarines cruised lazily through the water, protecting the soft underbelly of the fleet. A veritable tide of gleaming steel sliced through the lapping waves, as the forces of vengence drew nearer. Retribution would soon be delievered to the cowards, and battle would soon be joined.

A chant rang out from the men waiting to die for valour:

"LET THEM EAT WAR! LET THEM EAT WAR! LET THEM EAT WAR!"

The initial barrages were devestating; the genocidal maniacs had deliberately targeted highly built up civilian areas. Missiles and bombs rained down on the heads of the people of the HLF. The fire bombing by Vastiva was particularly devastating, a whole city of 2 million was completely destroyed, the smell of charred flesh and the screams of dying children carried for miles as the huge firestorm created rose into the sky.

The onslaught spared no one, what little organised military the hlf had was left in disarray. Most of the decent airfields were rendered useless making it impossible for any relief to get through. The HLF had no air force save for some soviet helicopters hidden in the mountains but they had been left relatively unharmed. The government was wiped out along with much of the modern structures in the country. Not a single hospital remained with as much as half of its normal capacity. Medical staff were overwhelmed with the number of wounded and injured, the vast majority were innocent civilians.

Throughout the HLF terror spread among the population, mothers hurried there children to what shelter they could find in a desperate attempt to avoid being caught in the open.

At the beaches people saw the enemy soldiers and there hearts were filled with anger. Thousands of local people lined the beaches and watched as the enemy approached in their boats, in the distance all manner of ships could be seen dealing death. The first Momanguise boats hit the beaches and the ramps were lowered as the ever growing crowd of people silently watched. They had experienced 2 invasions before, they were well educated in the schools of war but today they just watched.

Suddenly fire erupted from some members of the crowd, mg fire from men who had rushed to the beaches to defend there homes ripped up the beaches toward the invading forces. Men and boys with AK’s fired from amongst the crowd and light mortars from the nearby village found there range on the beaches. There was no chance of winning this war conventionally but they would destroy these infidels one way or another.

People of the world,, several days ago a cowardly attack was launched agianst the nation of IDF, Aust does not support such action, howvere IDF's reaction was foolish and irisponsable.

In anger they attacked civillians and thus aroused the anger of the HLF citizens, can you blame them? The HLF citizens I mean, they had no defense against these attacks, yet they also had not part in the terrorist, thus I ask IDF and it's allies, desist, desist these base attacks upon a sorvrign nation, and leave hem, for it is shame on you for your actions. With this message I send footage from our own television crews and U2 spy satalites of the distruction that IDF has reigned upon HLF.

These acts cannot be allowed to stand, as of now, I, Emporer Palpatine the 4th of Aust, ask IDF to disist and only attack armed enermys and the enermy army, not civillians, for that only intesifies the feeling against them.

3 legions and 1 tank corp have been sent to HLF, not to aid ever side but to peacekeep and to set up a safe place for HLF citizens to flee to, we ask the HLF goverment to let us set up this camp, if they refuse then the fleet shall turn back and Aust shall only send humanitarian aid.

Secret IC: Message sent from Aust to HLF.

HLF, if you accept this, then your citizens can go into the camps, replenise themselves and Aust will supply them with arms. It shall be utterly secret. We have had our difrences, you and I but now we must work together to defeat a mutual enermy

The men in the boats gazed in awe at the might of the allied air raids on the nation of The HLF. The sight inspired them and they let out a mighty cry as they sped towards the beaches. They neared the beaches in their Higgin's-esque boats, and they saw what was waiting for them.

Enemy after enemy were standing on the shore, weilding weapons of every sort imaginable. As soon as the lead boats neared the shore the firing commenced. Immediately men were torn in two by the mighty barrage. Boats were sunk in an explosion of limbs, as RPG's flew toward them like hornets.

Some men sank down into the boats, trying to cover themselves. Other, more brave, soldiers stood up and returned fire. It was futile though, the men had to duck back down, to avoid the fire.

Eventually some of the boats hit the shore, ramps slamming down immediately. Before the men could exit they were gunned down by waves of bullets. Blood sprayed onto the white sand, and the screams of the dying rent the air.

A few men managed to start to return fire on the enemy, and finally the enemy started to pay for it's actions by tasting death. The numbers were too few though, and eventually the HLF rebels gunned down the last survivor in a hail of blood and gore.

The assualt had failed miserably.

OOC: Shucks, my troops have been massacred. This was all part of the plan though, as it means I have an excuse to call in the IN special division, the Black Watch. I need to test them you see... Only problem is, I have lost my assualt boats.

OOC: How did the RWC nations get by my blockade. There is no way your ships could get there to invade as we are not clearing nations that will end up supporting terrorists. My blockade would not let your ships through as we would search them to make sure you are not giving aid to the enemy.

The Momanguise invasion beach
The emergency messages from the allied troops under attack came over encrypted allied radio frequencies. 24 F/A-18E Super-Hornets were only 75 miles away from the battleground. Momanguise had decided on their own will to aid IDF in this struggle and IDF would try and safeguard their troops.

"Damn," muttered Vice-Admiral Joshua Painter, the commander of IDF Naval Avaition. He began to call his E-2C controllers code named Hummer. "Hummer, this is Big Bird get Judea Hornet squadrons 1 and 2 vectored to Momanguise beach. Orders are to open fire on any muzzle flashes with Mk-82 500 lb bombs."

It took only 3 minutes to relay the messages to the Hornets. In only 8 minutes the 18's were in attack range. There were many people on the beach. The XO of the number 2 squadron saw muzzle flashed from a large group of the men. Hiding behing civilians was cowardly. IDF would not be reluctant to fire just because the HLF soldier was a wuss. Israel learned that lesson during the Palestinian "Intafadas."

"This is Hornet 2-2," called the pilot. "Muzzle flashes seen on my 11, request permission to fire lead."

"This is Hornet lead," responded Hornet 2-1, the CO of the 2nd squadron. "Weapons are free, weapons free."

"Copy," responded the flight. Hornet 2-2 flew towards the enemies at a speed of 550 knots and an altitude of 975 feet. At a range of 1,000 yards he dropped a pair of his 12 Mk-82 500 pound bombs on the HLF soldiers. He hoped to cause the beach opposition to flea. He then pulled up and lit up his afterburners and picked up speed and altitude to turn around and rejoin his group and look for more muzzle flashes and fire if they were seen.

3rd and 4th Airborne Divisions, Western HLF

The 25,000 troops were under the command of Col. Richard Hart and Col. Ilan Riyas. They were marching for 2 separate objectives. There were 2 very large airfields within 70 miles of their separate LZ's. Each group marched towards the objectives killing the few dozen people they encountered in the quiet landscape. No one could know of their presence. IDFAF F-16C support was always ready to help in the event of a surprise attack.

The 2 separate divisions marched towards their objectives. The ground troops were now only 10-12 miles from their objectives. UAV reconnaisance showed enemy troops within Mortar range. Each division carried a good number of them. They were set up at which point the troops opened long range mortar fire on airport defenses. 48 F-16C Falcons moved in to help attack enemy positions. While support fire rained in, the troops armed with the new XM-8 assault rifle made a run to storm and capture the air fields.

There was much celebration upon the news breaking that HLF leaders had been killed. No one like the killing of civilians, but very dire action had to be taken to send a message to the world that no one fucked with IDF.

"What do we do now?" asked Secretary of State Ted Phillips.

“We send a message to the people and surviving government members of HLF,” said President Williams. “I want you to draft a message, ask them to surrender immediately or face a total destruction. We want every soldier to disarm and every gun in that nation to be destroyed. We will temporarily annex HLF for the time being and work to set them on the right foot if they comply. If not they will be a wasteland to look like FWS or AustoHungary.”

“What about the RWC nations sending troops and ships to HLF?” asked Defense Secretary Jerry Angelo.

“Secretary Phillips will draft a message to the RWC nations sending ships and troops. They will be told to turn around or at least have their ships searched. I bet the bastards are sending weapons to HLF. I want them stopped. We do not fire on them unless fired upon,” said Williams. “Our blockade is now in place and no ships can enter HLF waters or get aid in there. Their borders are under air patrol. Nothing is getting in or out.”

20 miles off the coast
There were 8 Wasp II LHDs formed up with large destroyer and frigate support. LCACs were being boarded by some of the 15,000 Marines of the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force that would storm the beach head and capture a harbor to allow Ro/Ros and the troops carriers with multiple infantry and armored divisions to land.

The beach code named Waypoint Golan was near a medium sized harbor city that had docks big enough and a harbor deep enough for the large IDF troop transport ships that would follow the LCACs.

The way was paved for the strike by the raining of dozens of 5” guns from destroyers and cruisers. 5 Arizona BBNs each fired in their 12 22” guns on the beach to destroy defenses. 2 Netanyahus were further away firing their 15 24” guns. A pair of de Gaulle class CVNs put up 80 F-35 JSFs to help destroy any resistance with hundreds of more fighters on call and missile ships ready to neutralize any threat to the IDF Marines.

The LCACs present could only carry 8,000 marines on the 1st launch. There was heavy fire from enemy positions. 50% casualties were taken before the other 7,000 marines of the 2nd wave came up to support their wounded colleagues. It took hours of fighting, shelling, and a total of 10,000 casualties, but the beach was secure. CH-53 Pavelow III choppers brought in IDF Army troops. In the 36 hours after the beach was taken, 32,000 Army troops representing 2 divisions landed and made moves towards the harbor that was to be captured. LCACs brought over Abrams tanks, Bradleys, and other vehicles such as Mobile SAM launchers.

The news that the IDF airial forces were pounding the beach head was a welcome relief to the marine force which expected to be raked with small arm fire and artillery positions. The burning beaches, scared by the high impact bombs of the IDF fighters bellowed great clouds of thick black smoke. The battleships added to the carnage, shell after shell blasted from the great guns of the ships into the forified positions. The landing craft touched onto the beach, as the first wave of soldiers began to storm the thin strip of land.

From one area of shoreline of HLF, four large LST's could be seen out at sea.

These were the Izistani Andromeda's, the huge LST's were loaded with equipment and troops that were going to cover IDF's flank. From the coast, one could see sudden flashes of light on the deck of the ships, then they would soon hear a high pitched whistling sound as the 122mm barrage rockets fell upon the beach.

A few minutes after the inital bombardment the ships had beached themselves and the huge bow doors opened; spewing forth armoured vehicles and Naval Marines. A T-1 Keet rumbled towards the perimeter, followed by two AP12 APC's. Two Nightengale combat helicopters lifted off from the helipad at the stern of one of the Andromeda's and headed off to scout the surrounding area, with asistance from a UAV launched by the IMS Walrus.

The HLF citizens I mean, they had no defense against these attacks, yet they also had not part in the terrorist, thus I ask IDF and it's allies, desist, desist these base attacks upon a sorvrign nation, and leave hem, for it is shame on you for your actions. With this message I send footage from our own television crews and U2 spy satalites of the distruction that IDF has reigned upon HLF.

I think that Aust's reasons are justified, for example there were influential forces that almost persuaded the british government to aid Finland, simply because the SU was the enemy. The troop *poof* factor, yes it's godmoddish, but for the sake of the RP I am willing to tolerate it. I suggest that you do the same.

I am not supporting the RWC in this case, as you can see by the fact that I have attacked The HLF, whilst others defended it.

B) why am I here? Ages ago after I invaded HLF I balive we signed a allince, and so I am honour bound to protect him, I have not openly stated I am helping him eather, just sending in some men to set up a refuge camp, so until you break the code, (And if you do it would be almost GODMOD) then you have no IC: reasons for ignoring me.

C) I know it is expensive, but when you are a nation the size of Aust spending a around 14% of your buget on defence, (Actual buget is $23,541,681,798,835.21-24% of my buget) then I can mobalise that meny men, and I havn't brought much scince I purcased a new fleet around 1 month back.

D) If you read my post then I have not yet reached HLF, my troops are moving but I seek permission to get through the blockade.

E) Other than my allince, I have things to gain, though maybe as of yet you do not know it.

SECRET IC:On board the men around mustafa were ushered with him down into the hold, they were around a third of the council. They were the masterminds behind many of the attacks the martyrs of the HLF, including the most recent one. They had tens of billions in numbered accounts across the world, accumalated over decades and they would try to set about contacting there cells across the globe as soon as circumstances allowed. The infedels had no idea what they had got themselves into but they would come ot know it soon enough

President Kenny Williams was angered by the fact that the HLF had not responded to his demands to unconditionally surrender. The 2nd such demand message was just released. IDF threatened drastic action if not accepted and until a real response was reached such action would be taken. He picked up his phone and got Secretary of Defense Jerry Angelo. President Williams felt a lot like Truman before ordering the atomic bomb drops on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As bad as the effects were they were neccessary missions. Williams had long wondered what he would do in such a situation and upon reflection he decided to act as Truman had and give the go ahead. Williams wasn't using WMDs, but the effects of the mission would still be catastrophic.

The Secretary of Defense relayed the message to the CincAIR, General Mickey Moore.

4 hours later the action began. 348 F-16Cs lifted off various IDF Air Force bases loaded with 2 AAMs, and various Air-Ground Weapons. Some planes had HARMs, others had AGM-65D Mavericks and others had JDAMs or gravity bombs.

176 F-15E Strike Eagles from the 11th and 18th fighter wings were armed with 2 AAMs, multiple Air-Ground weapons that were similar to the loadout of the Falcons, but in a larger number.

A lighter wing of the escorts was 48 F/A-22A Raptors. IDF was sending them up from 15th fighter wing, the elite fighter jocks of IDF. They were armed with 4 AAMs and 2 HARMS in the internal bays, and 4 Mavericks on external pylons that hurt the plane's stealth profile.

They were only the escort wave. 51 B-52H bombers of varying age lifted off. Their load was 1 MOAB each. Their job was to wreak havoc in HLF and force a quick end to the war. The other part of the mission was revenge, sending a message to the world that no one could fuck with Israel and get away with it. It was a message that should've been taught to the Arabs after the 1973 war thought Moore, but no Israel wasn't big enough or ready then. Today they were.

The fighters planes took off at 2100. At 2155, the bombers started rolling down the runways to drop their bombs. Targets were infrastructure and cities. IDF was only throwing a small percentage of their bomber force at HLF today. This mission was to send a message and force the unconditional surrender of HLF.

The fighters engaged SAMs, AAAs, and other threats as they appeared to escort the bombers. The B-52s carried very powerful jamming pods that were to be activated upon the detection of active RADAR waves as they flew towards their targets.

OOC: IDF, why do you 'poo-poo' everything I do? There is no need. I had 3 Ships, cargo vessels, and I posted that they had moved away from your forces to enter The HLF. I was unaware of you having the entire nation blockaded.

Besides, The HLF has agreed with me the invasion attempt thing.

Another thing, why in the last post do you talk about asking the RWC to unconditionally surrender? As far as I am aware, the RWC is not involved in this war, only Aust is helping HLF, and I aiding you.

SECRET IC:

Von Luck strode down to the cargo hold, where the captured terrorist scum were being held. He looked at them in pity, they would soon be meeting their maker.

He pulled out his O'Dwyer VLE handgun and pointed it at one of the terrorists heads. The man swallowed. Von Luck pulled the trigger, sending blood and brains across the floor.

"Let that be an example of what I do to terrorist sh!ts like you. You will do as I say or perish. Now, get changed into those clothes."

Von Luck gestured towards a bunch of clothes lying on the floor. The HLF men looked uneasy, but changed, watching Von Luck's gun. As the men put on the clothes, they noticed bullet holes in them, and blood stains across them.

When they had finished, Von Luck told them to go, under escort, to the medical facility, where they would be made to look ill. They wondered why. Their old clothes and all their possessions were put in weighted bags, and dropped into the sea.

The three cargo ships started to move away from their postion near the shore, and out through the IDF blockade.

As for your invasion, my blockade was announced in a much earlier post. No ships in and no ships out so even if you got there your ships leaving will be inspected as we don't want any government officials or terrorists leaving.

Aust agrees to these demands and will pass through to start constructing a base.

IC: Civilians watched in awe as the mass wave of aging IDF fighters flew over the coast, the raptors had begun destrying the active radar stations on the route tothe bombers destination. One thing teh hlf was proud of was its air defence, experiance from the mass bombing campaign of Alleana had taught them well and most crews had shut down their hidden sites long before the bombers had got there aswell as firing up aging radar stations nearby to act as decoys. Most crews were schooled enough to know what a plane looked like when it had exausted most of its ammunition.

The raptors had been largely affective in their attacks on staions, taking many of genuine emplacements out but they were not prepared for the scale of the defences in the hlf. The country had bought up hundreds of patriot systems and all had been painstakingly camoflaged from the air as they sat partialy under ground. The crews were proud of their patriots and they were sure that they would claim many of the aging fighters on route to their capital. All over the nation radion traffic reported that it was apparent that most of the enemys harm misiles had been exausted and the reply was for every emplcemnet that haddened been destroyed to become active once more. The Pac-2 launchers began unleashing their revenge on the fighters. In all 400 Pac-2 missiles were fired at the F-16's and F-15E's, there was not much that they could do about the B-52's just yet but with any luck the bombers would go low to drop their payload.

All over the nation frantic efforts were being made to arm the people, men poured out of small towns toward the port that had been invaded by the zionist scum. Men slipped into the outskirts and began to prepare for a bloody geurilla war against their invaders. Roads were booby trapped and roadblocks fashioned out of ruble. The people of the hlf would not go down lightly

IC: The F-16 pilots thought they were in the clear until their RWR systems starting sounding warnings. The pilots knew missiles were tracking them so they began jinking right and left. It wasn't enough. F-15 pilots soon discovered the same. A total of 195 F-16Cs were shot down. Only 75 of their pilots were able to eject. The F-15Es were better off. Only 65 of them were lost, but only 56 of their pilots and RIOs lived the hits.

The B-52Hs flew much higher, but 3 were lost to some lucky shots. They flew over the towns and the 48 surviving bombers each dropped their 2 massive MOABs on large cities to destroy as much of the HLF's will to fight as possible.

The surviving planes provided good intel to allow arsenal ships to fire in TLAMs at SAM sites. IDF satelite watchers now knew what to look for also. Next time, IDF would be more prepared for the bombing missions.

On the beach it was a different tale. The Colonol was caught off guard by the civilians running towards his group. He had 4 layers of Clayemore mines in front of his position. That should've been enough to take out many, but nowhere near all of the enemies. The mines went off as groups went over them. The Marines knew they were in a clusterfuck. Their mortars began firing into the city to take out as many people as possible. M60 machine gunners took cover behind sandbags and fired streams of bullets into the crowd. As the range closed men used their M16A2s to fire into the crowd. It was hopeless.

15 minutes into the battle, 15,000 IDF marines were dead or wounded and only 10,000 were left. They would never retreat and would fight to the end.

They were not alone though, The over 100 cruisers, destroyers, and frigates rained in their 5" guns on the city to take out as many people as possible before they could harm the marines.

Further off the coast the Iowa, Arizona, and Netanyahu class battleships fired their much larger and numerous guns at the coast to destroy this city and surrounding coastal cities. The idea of killing civilians was distasteful, but they were not civilians, they were a militia.

Carrier based F-35Cs took off and dropped bombs in on the cities to help out the marines. 3 hours after the battle began, all 25,000 marines were dead or wounded. Enemy casualties were unknown, but they would continue to rise as the IDF Navy struck with their guns and bombs in shots of retribution.

Back in the western region, the paratrooper divisions were being evacuated as it became apparant that they didn't have the firepower necessary. Staying would mean another Mogadishu. MH-53 Pavelows were flown in under F-22A escort to evacuate them.

Operation: Enduring Vengeance

The peace-keeping operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo had kept Tyrandisan aerial forces too busy to aid in the ultimate annihilation of HLF.

Now that the aforementioned country was pacified and taken by the colonial government, it was time for the Hawk to bring down a wave of destruction on the cretinous terrorists responsible for the murder of innocents.

Firehawk Air Force Base
0800 hrs

From the complex morass of runways at the premier Tyrandis Air Force base in Cyprus, some three hundred TSEB-52N Skyfortress ALCM platforms roared into the clear, blue skies above the Mediterreanean Sea.

Following the lumbering bombers were six hundred TSF-28A Seraph Air Superiority Fighters, flying escort at 50,000 feet, while the bombers stayed a bit higher.

Armed with anti-radiation guided missiles with Octo-Nitro-Cubane warheads, the strongest conventional explosive in the world, the mission of the bomber fleet was simple: Annihilate each and every single SAM and air defense position that the terrorists had used to such effect against the IDF aerial units.

Some six TAGM-88X HARMs were launched at each and every known SAM site, ascertained through satellite feed and ELINT.

Screaming across the landscape at just twenty five feet above the ground, it was almost guaranteed that the formidable AA defenses would be completely and utterly destroyed by the missiles. Simply put, no matter how good their countermeasures were, the target missile positions could not engage the HARMs at such a low altitude (OOC: Current air defense batteries have a minimum height engagement of somewhere around 20km).

Meanwhile, the entire Imperial Navy was prepared to move, accompanied with thousands of troops thristing for the blood of HLF citizens...

The Imperial Senate of Nycton has deemed the conflict between HLF AND IDF a just war, and have just passed a bill for a Declaration of War on the terrorist of HLF. The Super Dreadnought Scipii along with the 2nd Grand Fleet are being ordered to report to Nycton to escort Marine and Army Legions to HLF. The Imperator has had no official word yet. Two Armor Marine Legions (750 Tanks Each, 1,500 total) are being sent to HLF, as 3 Marine Motorized divisions, 3 motorized army and 2 infantry divisions. No more facts about Nycton are available at this time.
