RHEAT SWORN IN, HUGE RIOTS BREAK OUT, RHEAT CALLS FOR HELP

After a recount that reversed the election, Lance Rheat(Conservative Party) beat the intierm President Santo. Rheat was sworn in today, and hunders of thousands of protesters are out on the streets causing havoc, and too large of a group, for the small Wrigleyivy Police and National Guard foces to stop, and President Rheat has asked for help from foriegn countries. "Any Funding, or people would be of great help," Rheat said. Fires, Broken Windows, and other damage have been reported. Two are dead, and ten others critically injured. A reported 150 arrests have been reported.

The numbers of the riot has gone down, many are leaving an estematied 10% of the original 200,000 protesters remain. They are very well dispersed, so it is persisting thanks to the great help of fellow nations.

During a political rally in Lumpana's capital city today, the inner party speaker brought up the anarchy caused by the swearing in of this president Rheat as once again another testimoney to the weakness of democracy.

Senator Reikos was thumbing through some foregin press realases and news reports, he stumbled across an article about riots in the small nation of Wrigleyivy, it seemed people would not accept thier rightful leader. He had 25 minutes before his morning breifing, so decided a show of support was needed, he would make this directly to the authorities in Wrigleyivy and to the Apollinan public.

The Grand Duchy of Apollina has heard of your situation and we stand fully behind you and your rightful Government. You are the rightfully elected leader of your nation and those rioting should be rallying behind your flag to make your nation great rather than bickering amongst themselves. The Apollinan Government will discuss the sending of aid to you, this will probably come in the form of medical aid for the people caught up in the crossfire, and of course protection from our infantry forces. Once finished he delivered it to his aide to send to the Wrigleyivy Authority. He was not sure how the public would take this, they were wary of getting involved in other country's internal affairs; however Reikos knew that to expand Apollinan influence on the international stage Apollina had to open herself to international affairs.

We can send a detchment of 300 troops to remedy the situation. Just give us the go ahead and consider it fixed.

Thanks the crowds are furthur subsidizing, My National Guard is 5,700 and my Total Number of Police is: 20,000 and I have 8,000 there. All deployment troops from foriegn countries may continue on in, Rheat said the democratic system is still storng, but he said this, "These people who are rioting must face that the results of the democratic, process, my administration and the Represenatives of both Houses will work together to stop this from happening again, and reform will be made to the vote to make the process easier on all." We again condemn the actions of opening fire on an unarmed crowd, there were other ways to resolve the situation. We do not see how this will help the legitimacy of the Government.

After hearing and seeing a military build up by Cherry Ridge forces Commander Thekis ordered all personnel back to the Apollinan compound, ambulances carried all the wounded they could back to the compound for protection and treatment. Civilians had begun grouping outside the compound, asking for protection, however this was not possible, the Apollinan forces had to defend themselves and tend to the injured.

Apollina- I understand your concern, and non-lethal weapons are used by us for riot control. Thanks for the help, and the Wrigleyivy's way isn't killing people. The death toll was 422, 420 were killed by Cherry Ridge Command, 2 died while setting cars on fire....

Cherry Ridge- You killed our citizens, I understand you wanted to help, but the killing of citizens, could be greatly damaging. As we speak, our Green Sash aid workers are sailing to Wrigleyivy. The Cherry Ridge are demanding we share their base with them or it will be taken forcibly. They claim they have the rights to the riot control in RedBrick. Is this true? If they happen to forcibly overthrow your country I am able to consult my partners in FINIA and arrange a liberation. Commander Thekis ordered contact to be made between the Apollinan Force and the Cherry Ridge Forces. In his message he states that rather than risk open conflict, in a state who is a mere passenger to these events, he promises to set up a meeting of all three military commanders and a representitive of the local Government. This should stop any more blood being needlessly shed.

You and the men you have with you currently may enter; but we remind you, our camp is a hospital, not a military base, there is limited room and larger numbers cannot be accomodated. If you are here to talk then you are welcome.

OOC - I am going away for a couple of nights, so I will set out what my reaction will be to possible events in my absence.

If there is no more unrest we shall carry on looking after the sick and injured in our hospital camp. If there is civil unrest in the local population we will stay, but reserve the right to fire back if fired upon, and use non-lethal methods of crowd dispersion (tear-gas, firing into the air etc). If there is any further aggression by non-natives we shall leave, being airlifted from the nearest airfield, again we reserve the right to defend ourselves.

We think that there is no need or cause for any foreign military base in Wrigleyivy, and will back thier choice if they reject foreign troops being permenantly stationed in Wrigleyivy. We will not give up command of our compound to anyone, we will work with Falcanian and Wrigleyivyian (sp?) troops and commanders but maintain overall control, if we are beseiged by any military units, we will pull out of the country. Hope this is clear and this RP carries on.

PS - Sorry for not using the colour code, but it is very hard for me to read, being colourblind, also all the other colours you use look almost exactly the same to me!

The main threat appears to be from the Cherry Ridge, who are technically allied, but appear to be loose cannons. They have already killed many innocent civilians, and are occupying Camp Patience with a majority, threatening to use force if we did not let them in. Of course, we will remain vigilant.

It seems that our work here is done, there have been no fresh outbreaks of violence and we have looked after and helped as many of the injured as possible. Our camp will remain as a hospital if the local authorities wish to move in and use it as such. We thank you for your hospitality, we were glad to work with you to help your people.

The Cherry Ridge troops began to pull out, helicopters coming to pick them up. Acfter that, they launched missles at the Camp Patience, until it was completly destroyed. They then flew off, back to Cherry ridge.
