"This is Channel 7 news, and today's events have been truly shocking. Several Fascist Party leaders, including party chairman Adolph Quisling, were arrested today. They are being charged with treason, conspiracy, election fraud, espionage and several horrific murders of Moroii minority citizens that took place last fall. Adolph Quisling himself faces three treason charges. As you know, treason is the only crime in Callisdrun that carries a death sentence."

"The arrests took place at their party headquarters, a guard who attempted to stop the police investigation was reportedly shot. Most of those arrested declined to comment, but Quisling had something to say. Here he is:"

The News shows Adolph Quisling, looking very red in the face. It is easy to see why most Callisdrunians think he's a raving lunatic.

"I'm not sorry for anything I've done. I wasn't involved in those murders, but those leeches aren't even human and they deserved what they got. As for committing treason, I say that trying to expunge the leeches is a service to my country, no matter what it takes."

The News goes back to one of the anchors, whose eyebrows are raised. "So there you have it, folks. The charges of treason had something to do with attempts to sell information on Callisdrun's nuclear weapons program and other military information both to Altar Rang and to several countries on the other side in the regional war. The piece of evidence that gave the police warrants was an identical document recieved by many fascist party bosses that detailed the previously mentioned sale of military information. The Fascists, however did not know, however, that the government knew all along about the documents and had only allowed the letters to be delivered so that the leaders would sign their own death sentences, in effect."

The camera goes to another anchor.

"Earlier, the murders of last fall were mentioned. As you might remember, last fall, there were more than a dozen brutal murders of young Moroii women. Some of them were split open from the top to the bottom of their torsos, the others had apparently been burned alive. It is well known that 'cleansing' Callisdrun of Moroii has long been an integral part of the Fascist Party platform, and police say they have evidence connecting Adolph Quisling and other party bosses to these murders. That evidence, however, remains undisclosed. It is seen as unlikely that any of those arrested will escape capital punishment."

OOC: I'm kind of just throwing this out there. It's completely open, in fact, PLEEEASSE post.

When asked on the matter in a press breifing, Foreign Minister Reikos said this,

"If indeed thses people are guilty of, what can only be described as these horrific murders, then thier punishment for this is just. The same goes for thier alleged betrayal of thier nation with regard to the selling of Callisdrun's nuclear secrets and other issues of national security."

An anonymous aide is quoted as saying,

"If these allegations are just an attempt to silence a part of thier community they will find no support here."

This view has been dismissed by the Government as "mere speculation by one junior aide".
