The Government of Descolada, after heated debate in the Cortes, has decided to sell off 40% of its shares in the formerly nationalized Estramadura Oil Fields off of Estramadura Island. The oil fields, containing at least 1.5 billion barrels are a huge source of revenue for the rapidly developing nation. It is hoped that foreign investment will help revitalize the oil industry of Descolada.

So what does all this exactly mean? What are the dimensions of the land the oil rest under? Anything else of interest in this area? What are the geographical features of the fields? Need info!

The Estramadura oil field is offshore ... it's been in production for about four years, but the government just wants to raise money. The oil fields completely surrround the island of Estramadura, which is a relatively small island in the far eastern part of Descolada. The island is approximately the size of Barbados and is, more or less, exclusively devoted to the oil fields.
I'll get a link to the first Descolada thread ... provides a lot more geographical and demographic info.
The Federation is interested in investing in these oil fields. If Descolada would allow it, we would like to send over some expirianced advisors from H-Oil, Hallad's nationalized Oil company.

(Only my first post is really valuable ...)
IC:
The Popular Front Government of Descolada would be willing to allow such advisors to tour the Estramadura Oil Fields as well as the somewhat smaller oil fields in the south of the country. The government has also stiputed that no one country may own more than 15% of these shares, whether public or private.

Docklebaln is also interested in sending over some analyst to look into these oilfields, also what sort of prices are we talking about? Because if results come back positive, Docklebaln will more than likely buy into these oil fields.
