The Azaha Guardian (way future tech RP, open)

OOC: First, Just dont see my ship and open fire/maraud it, I would like to get some other RP aswell. Aslo, dont let my post count get you off, I got near 150 million people now. The ship I explain, if you have ever seen the remake of Battlestar Galactica, is what it almost looks like.

It was dead quiet, in the vastness of space. Far off in the distance, a green planet could be seen, along with ofcoures the star that provides it energy.

Out of no where, a bolt of lightning energy flashes through the void, then another, then two at once. Finally, a massive vortex opens up in the space. Out from the vortex, a seemingly tiny ship emerges from within it, then two, then three. The vortex snaps shut, leaving no sign it was ever there.

The three ships that emerged, were infact war ships, but no weapon systems operational. The lead ship was a massive ship indeed. It brissled with projectile(Bullets and shells) and laser anti fighter weapons. On the front of the ship, were two long barrels protruding fromt he nose, looking like they are used for capitol ship versus capitol ship engagements. This, was the Azaha Guardian. The two smaller ships, were mere frigates, designed to support the Azaha Guardian, with more anti fighter weapons, and one minor capitol ship cannon.

A captain pased on the oversized bridge. A man that looked in his 30's walked around anxiously about the bridge, looking out the massive view screen that saw outfront of the ship. He wore tan pants, blue shirt, and a vest that was tan. On his collar he wore a golden sabre, showing his rank.

"Any signals picked up yet?" asked the captain to the radarman.
"No captain, all is quiet"
The captain turned to the com officer, "Send a message on all known languages, requesting aid"
"Yessir" the officer replied

Now the captain stood, looking out on the view screen.

The WSGS Azrael was the newest Ship-of-the-Line in the Weyrean arsenal. This did not mean much, since Weyreans reinvented their military technology every year, and since the Azrael was one of a dozen craft launched that month. The destruction of the Weyrean fleet at Vortex led to a massive rash of shipbuilding that did not seem to be nearing an end.

At the time, the Azrael and its two cruiser escorts were in orbit around the planet, keeping guard over the local terraforming project.

"Unknown cavitations at 411, 0.3, 2," tactical stated on the fleet Net. Claxons sounded through the Azrael's dark passageways, sending hands scrambling to their stations.

"I -told- you we should have gotten autopods out first," the pilot commented in the CICC. The CICC was a cross between the bridge and the CIC. Everything on the Azrael could be controlled from there.

"Just....ready weapons. Target coordinates," Commodore Lorn said wearily, watching the unknown vessels on his Net link. Readying weapons meant plotting a firing solution, and seeing if the opponent fired first.

"Vectors set," the pilot stated. The massive vessel brought its drives online, alerting anyone paying attention to its presense. A few minutes would pass before it would be within weapons range.

"Unidentified craft, this is the WSGS Azrael, please state your purpose and origin," the comm-tech flashed. There was no image, only those words, said in one of the languages that the unknown craft had used.

Captain Sirus shook his head, coming out of his day dream, when the bridge radio crackled to life.

"Unidentified craft, this is the WSGS Azrael, please state your purpose and origin,"

Sirus looked at a speak with shock, not really expecting some one to anwer. "Match that frequency and open a line" barked Sirus. "Yessir" The com officer quickly tapped in numerous letters, and unknown letters. "It is ready sir". The radar man suddenly blurted "They have a firing solution on us sir"

The captain stood by his seat, near the middle fo the bridge, "This is the HES Azaha Guardian. We come in peace, please disengage your weapons, we mean no harm. We seek, freinds. We come from the Empire of Bhael"

The captain plopped back down in his seat and held his breath awaiting a reply.

OOC: Nation size doesn't really matter much in future-tech...

"Sergeant, did I tell you to do an active scanner trace?" Commodore Lorn asked, his voice not shifting from its passive, bored tone.

"Ah..no, ser," the tactical officer replied.

"Do it again, and I'll have you on fusactor duty for the rest of the tour. Shut those systems down," Lorn said.

"Aye, ser," the pilot responded.

"Azrael..." Lorn sighed.

"He'd take too long," the WSGS Azrael's avatar shrugged from the pilot console, which was actually above and at an angle to Lorn's. The Pseudo-Intelligence system could have handled the entire ship all by herself, but the analysts at Paradigm felt that lone craft had a high risk of going spychotic. "I'll blast them if they try anything." she grinned down at the Commodore. In the microgravity of the Azrael, there was no point in respecting spacial conventions and placing everything on the same plane.

"Azaha Guardian, welcome to the Irhidras system, currently controlled by the Imperial First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr. Any reason you're looking for 'friends'?" Lorn flashed to the Azaha Guardian

"Freinds, we are always on the lookout for freinds, and those to call themselves freinds to the Empire. We just wish to extend our reach, and unite all we can." Sirus replied.

He motioned for the com officer to turn off the bridge wide macrophones. "Triangulate thier position if you can, in conjuction with the Quelard and Kalanta I want to know where they are, if they fire on us."

OOC: There are plenty of nations out there with massive post counts who can't RP. Anyways, I'm not going to actually attack you. My characters are just being absolutely bored from six months of guard duty on a fringe system. Then again, Weyr is on the edge of the galaxy.....

"They'll get eaten alive, ser," Azrael chuckled.

"Not our problem,"

"Think they got the scanners to see us?"

"Probably,"

"Azaha Guardian, I can't negotiate treaties with you. You'll need to meet the High King at Paradigm for that. We can escort you there in a few hours, when our replacement arrives."

"Ah, Excellent, we will be standing by, will we need to trans-jump there? If so, let us know so we can bring our converter to critical mass, Azaha Guardian, out."

The massive ship turned around to face where they speculated the other ships to be. The Azaha Guardian is Indeed massive, nearly 1/2 a mile long, and as wide as 12 football(American) fields. It was the flag ship of His Emporer's navy, and only one of three of the class.

Motioned again for the macrophones to be disabled. "Atleast these guys will be easier" Mumbled to himself.

<Three hours later>

Black turned to white, white turned to black, and the universe inverted for a moment that took an eternity.

"Azrael, Storm here. How's it been?"

First, there was nothing. Six craft appeared at the edge of the system, drives firing in a decceleration maneuver. The Storm was a dreadnaught. Six kilometers long, it outgunned most craft fielded by Weyr's enemies. Four slight protrusions at the bow of the massive vessel indicated the presense of singularity cannon. Four of the other five craft were transport craft, carrying colonists and supplies for the terraforming project. The last ship was another Ship-of-the-Line, a one-and-a-half kilometer craft with massive wave cannon.

"Boring. We got visitors," Lorn responded.

"Yep, I see them. Just in time,"

"As you said.

"Azaha Guardian, Azrael, please stand by for access codes and coordinates for transBeacon A653F1 to Paradigm system. We'll take you inside the system."
Azaha

"Roger that, receiving the codes now."

The nav computer displayed numbers and symbols, switching from screen to screen, then finally ending up at the final destination.

"Should we wait for 'em?" the nav computer blaired. Sirus had put in a personality chip for it, before the misison started, giving the voice the accent of a scottsman. He had gotten the idea off some old archived space flicks.

The captain dilibereated for a moment, "Set course, engage the fold space converter" Sirus barked.

A lightning storm occured infront of the Azaha Guardian, lasting several seconds, before it finally burst into a massive, dark vortex. All three of the ships slipped into the warp, bolts of lighting threatening to break thier shields, and destroy the ships. The vortex then snapped shut, and the energy field dissapated.

The most populous system in the Kingdom. Its real center, however, was Starhavven. The giant station allowed for commerce to flow between the inner planets, which were protected by a dense, spherical asteroid field.

Thousands of craft passed through Starhavven's massive portals every day. Trillions of Weyrs flowed throgh its coffers every year. The spherical station, eight hundred kilometers across, looked incomplete, with panels seemingly missing, but this was to allow the massive eight-kilometer-long starlighter pass into its depths.

"Foreign dignitaries?" Victoria asked, curious.

Her official title was Regent. She was not a Royal, and could not assume the Staff even had she wanted to. But with Alicia gone, she was the effective ruler of the Kingdom of Weyr, second only to the Imperial Governor in power.

"Yes. Some ship called Azaha Guardian,"

"When will they be here?"

"About...thirty minutes,"

"Have the Azrael escort them here. We will see what they want."

**********

"Azaha Guardian, please stand by for updated traffic column information. Columns 41, 13A48, and 61D are closed to civilian traffic due to accidents. Thank you, and welcome to Paradigm Prefecture," the navBeacon flashed to each of the three craft. A few moments later, the Azrael and her two cruiser escorts translated into normSpace thirty kilometers away.

"Azaha Guardian, the Regent Victoria is ready to see you at your convenience at Starhavven Station," Azrael sent. 'We will secort you to the docking berth."

"This is the Azaha Guardian, understood, the Quelard and the Kalanta will remain here." Sirus had the coms turned off when he next spoke.

"Inform the armored marines, I want them ready by the end of the hour."

"Yessir"

Sirus motioned the com backs on, "Will I be able to bring along a five marine escort? It is standard precedure, I assure you."

Sirus sat back down in his chair, which seemed small for such a massive bridge, and let the nav computer fly the ship to the docking berth, along with the escorts.

OOC: Unless yopu've been openly hostile to Weyr, your ships have full clearance into the Paradigm system and access to most of Starhavven. If you -have- been hostile to Weyr, then your ships will be heavily guarded and have quite a bit of firepower pointed at them at all times.

"Yes," was the response. Who would be foolish enough to try something in a station crawling with private and Star Guard security forces, bounty hunters, and rodues and heroes of all sorts.

The craft pased into the caverous space of Starhavven's main docking zone, past an outbound, massive stellar lighter that dwarfed even the WSGS Azrael's 1.5-kilometer hull. A docking arm extended, while soft clamps moved towards the Azaha Guardian, to hover a few meters above its hull. The Azrael came to rest a berth down. This was the Star Guard section of the docking zone, where a half-dozen cruisers and destroyers were currently berthed while their crews wre on leave.

"Docking boom secure,"

"Star Guard ready,"

Unlike the Azrael, Starhavven had full Terran ArtGrav. The station was a megapolis; it could afford to waste power on creature comforts.

The docking boom was made of the same gray material as the rest of the station. The head attached to Azaha Guardian's main portal was cylindrical, and currently flanked by four Star Guard soldiers in full black and gray power armor. Black, reflective faceplates hid their faces. Their stubby weapons were held at ready.

OOC: Weyr, mind if I have a freighter in your system? I'm making this post assuming no, but if yes, then I'll change it.

IC:

The VCS (Veredian Civilian Ship) Deathscythe sat in space, docked in one of the berths at Weyr's immense Starhaven station. The ship was commander by Captain Matt Miller, who had served his compulsory service in the VSN, commanding an old Redemption class destroyer at the battle of Harlin Junction before retiring, and with a crew in hand (and some of there money), some gratitude from the government, his life savings, and the fact that the Deathscythe was being retired from service, bough the destroyer off the government. The ship was then heavily modified, much of its crew complement removed, missile magazines converted, and its armament scaled back to turn it into a defacto freighter, albeit, a relatively heavily armed freighter. They were trading in a variety of goods when their scanners picked up an unknown style of warship and a pair of escorts, bearing unknown markings and transmitting completely alien codes.

Captain miller turned to his XO and spoke, "O'hara, ever seen any ships like that?"

"Nope, never, they looked there being escorted by Weyr warships, think its a new nation?" the XO, O'Hara, responded.

"Might be, or at least one we've never seen, not even the explorer corps database has anything on 'em...Comms, send them one of the old naval standard greetings, inviting them to open relations with the Commonwealth of Veredia, and inform them that we can request Veredia send an Alacritous Missive courier ship out here, or to their space, to open formal relations. If it is a first contact situation, then I'm sure they'll be grateful and we can let the navy and diplomatics corps handle it. No need for a freighter crew to be handling first contact" Miller said.

"Aye aye Cap', sending message" the comm operator replied.

Sirus was in his full dress uniform when he walked into the umbilicle. Black jacket with various medals and badges, tan pressed pants, black gloves and boots, polished to a magnificent shine, and a black beret in his head. But behind him was the more astonishing sight. Out from the airlock of the ship, 5 huge bulky figures ducked undo the short doorway of the umbilicle. Dwarfing the 5' 9" captain, they stood at 7 feet tall. Black bulky power armor they had on, giving them twice the girth as they would have without the suits. Thier helmets were rounded at the top, with a line of silver running from the middle of the brow to the back of the head. Thier armor was obviously not built for mobility, but the hulking figures moved with grace. The eyes glowed red with scanners and optics. In thier hands they held rather large weapons, an assault rifle, grenade launcher, and somthing else that wasn't iddentifiable yet. The captain ordered them to stop with a hand gesture and turned to who was there to meet him.

"These, are the Imperial Guard, only 1000 out of countless billions are ever alive at one time, becuase of thier sheer power, we had to put our own laws in place so they wouldn't go rampid. And my ship has been graced with ten of them. Now then, shall we?" The caption motioned that he was ready to go, the Guard close behind him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 2nd in command of the Azaha Guardian almost fell alseep in his chair. It was so utterly boring when the captain went on his escapades, and left him, to baby sit. When suddenly the incoming message signal rang. He saw the message and decided to return it.

"This is the Azaha Guardian, of the empire of Bhael, we accept your offer, send a 'courier' ship out here, and we can get to it shortly, Lt. Anubark out."

Anubark leaned back in his chair once again, and dozed off, lazily.

OOC: Yes, the description sounds contradictory. Let's just say that when you spend an incredible amount of money to build the biggest artificial structure in the known world, you can splurge on interior decorations.

The trader entranceways are patrolled, but not individually guarded. They're more akin to a normal trade station, although the insignia of the Tower and the Kingdom are still there.

The four Star Guard marines' armor was not nearly as impressive as that of their counterparts. It did not have to be, since even the thinnest arachnoweave could stop conventional bullets, and since nothing known could really stop a blaster pulse.

"Regent Victoria is waiting," one of the four High Guard responded, pivoted on his heel, and led the way. His second fell in behind the group. Their stepps resonated through the long docking boom.

The outer hall, into which all berths of this sector led, was done in gray eternastone, which gave off a faint sheen of warm light. Sunlamps high above drove away shadows, but did not cast the hall into an unnatural shadowless fluorescent light. The insignia of The Tower: the ouroborous encircling a mountain, beneath which stood a thin spire; of the Kingdom: three stars above the rising sun and mountain; and of the Star Guard: the teardrop flame speckled with stars; all traced their way on the gray eternastone floor of the hall in silver and in gold. Near the center of the hall was a sort of fountain and garden, placed there because Star Guard psychologists learned somewhere that trees and images of home planets made crews go insane somewhat slower.

Beneath this hall were the more functional facilities, with weapons, supply, and engineering sections that would make returning warships ready for duty when their crews would return in two months' time of leave.

Four Star Guard stood at the accessways to the craft and docking booms, their faces concealed behind black faceplates. On the other end, many high-ceilinged passageways led to station shuttles and the other parts of Starhavven.

The arrivals from the Azrael and her two escorts did not even come close to filling the massive hall. The two Star Guard marines and the representatives from the Azaha Guardian went through it quickly, through a passageway slowly filling with Star Guard crew, and into a sort of conference room, whose portal whooshed open, then slid shut. If the captain wished to take his Imperial Guard escort inside, then that was his business.

*****

Victoria came off the Net before the party of the captain of the Azaha Guardian entered. Foreigners were put off by finding their host sitting motionless with glazed eyes. Just as well, it was bad etiquette to be on the Net while meeting with a dignitary.

The Regent stood up as the captain and his escort entered. The room was still of the same eternastone, with no viewports or mediatrons apparent. An oval desk of some sort of wood was placed at its center, surounded by several comfortable-looking chairs, which were made for standard humans but could accomodate everything up to a groll by expanding and contracting as necessary.

Captain Sirus turned to his troopers, who immediatly stood at attention. "IG/3, IG/29, IG/25, come wait here at attention, you two, come with me." "Yessir!" Boomed the troopers, whos voices were deep and mechanicle.

The captain slowly strode into the room as to not seem too eager, the two Imperial Guard right behind him. He walked into the office, and motioned his troopers to stand on either side of the door. Sirus then walked up tot he desk and bowed a deep bow of respect.

"I am Captain Sirus, also acting as ambassador in this system. I represent the infinite Empire of Emporer Bhael himself, the all knowing and loving. We have come into this system in search of freinds." Sirus then showed himself a seat and sat down, uniformly. "The Empire as a proposition for you."

The captain sat there, staring at the regent, troopers behind him like stone, not moving a synthetic muscle.

Victoria returned the bow, before sitting down across the table from the captain. Her loose gray arachnoweave singlesuit was not anywhere near as flashy as that of Captain Sirus, but it was confortable and quite bulletproof. She'd have to check up on the Siege Whooper planetbusters after this, which meant narrow passageways and a two-hour flight in a cramped shuttlecraft.

Her brown eyes considered the ambassador thoughtfully as he spoke. "I am Regent Victoria, holding place until the High King returns," she responded, "If you are here to offer us a place in your empire, then I'm afraid you have come too late. We're part of the Galactic Empire, now, as the Star Destroyers around this station may have shown you. Aside from that, what is your proposition?"

Empire Never Forgets is when Weyr becomes part of the Empire.

"Honestly?" Victoria's eyes flashed. A holoprojection of the spherical battlestation appeared above the dark table, "This, is the Death Star -- two hundred kilometers of durasteel built around a superlaser that has destroyed three settled planets in the past ten years, protected by Sith as well as turbolasers. For whatever reason our admiral forged the High king's orders and attacked the Death Star, destroying our entire fleet in the process. It appeared on our doorstep the next day, demanding surrender. Do you have something to counter it, because three nations more powerful that Weyr have already fallen to it?"

We do, of course, with the Siege Whoopers operational, and the Siege Fleet complete, but not at the moment. Victoria did not say.

Sirus chuckled softly, then changed to a more serious look, "Remember when I presented myself? I said 'I represent the infinite Empire of Emporer Bhael himself'. In truth we arent infinite, but we control some of the largest mineral deposites this section of the galaxy. The Quelard sect is constantly mining and producing ships of great magnitude. The sect of Kalanta are also constantly researching and producing some of the finest weapons and super soldiers this galaxy has to offer, as you say, the Imperial Guard. I do not claim that we are more powerful than these other nations that tried to help, but we could deffinitly try, and free you. Our Imperial Guard, can match just about anything the enemy can throw at them, infantry, armor, heavy armor, with just a single gun. If we could get infantry on this 'Death Star', it's all but over."

It is cheaper than searching for pre-formed elements, I'm told. Trade is not an issue I discuss, normally, since even enemies of the Empire can still trade everything here at Starhavven, she chuckled."

Could withstand a rocket... turn the weak minded? These guys are brainwashed to where they dont even have thier own wills, and faster than the eye? They have the most advanced targetting optics we have. Ma'am, we own some of the biggest mining colonies around, we have over a milliion big war ships, armed to the teeth, the sect of Azaha, that is. The Lt was confused, a non-agression pact to some one the empire didn't even know exist yet?

"This is the Azaha Guardian... er, I will have to take that up with Captian Sirus, we will contact you once he is able, out."

OOC: I have bo inclination to fight, peace and land talks is all.

"Emporer Palpatine? Hm, yes I would like an arranged meeting with him. We wish no agression to anyone, unless they are the first to fire, or they lay in the way of a goal which we may have, but we do not have any specific goals. We are new to this region of space, and we want is some space, perhaps 1 planet or two to colonize and research. If you want no agression, then you will get no agression. All a matter of land and freinds, the Empire of Lord Bhael would love to make freinds with this, Emporer Palpatine. Infact, I will bring the absolute leader of our armed forces to meet him, Lord Fenix Exio himself(the actual leader of Azaha), to talk with Emporer Palpatine. If you can arrange such a meeting, I will call Lord Exio and bring him here ASAP." Sirus looked embrasive, but sat in his chair, showing no other emotion except calmness.

"I will see if I can arrange a meeting. The Empire is currently busy dealing with the Rebels and their allies," Victoria chuckled at that, "Adn the empreror has many...personal things to attend to."

"Now, you have mentioned your need for planets," her face grew more serious. "We will be deploying the Siege Fleet into one of the systems closer to the galactic core, sitting just on our border. Igrana, I believe they call it. They have been most disruptive to trade with their tarrifs, so we will put the matter to rest once and for all. There are two uninhabited systems near that point, both of which have habitable planets or planetoids. You will, unfortuately, have to finish the planoforming yourself, but those systems can be yours for a simple non-agression and mutual defense pact."

Sirus leaned back into his chair and thought momentarily. "I see... well, my main role in this was to scout possible civilizations to conquer, but we see that is impossible now. I cannt sign anything for land or peace, only one person can do that, and that is Lord Exio. I will go to my ship right away and call for him. I would still like us to be able to speak with Emporer Palpatine though. I will get back to you once I have called him, good day, regent"

With that, Captain Sirus stood up from his chair and bowed. He quickly turned on his heals and left the room. As he left, the five Imperial Guard followed quickly, forming a protective circle around him. The squad made thier way to the Azaha Guardian and dissapeared into it.

Captain Sirus strode into the bridge, where the Lt. jumped up at him right away.

"Sir, we got two messages already for negotiations... one ship is already on the way." Sirus stared at him for a long while, and held in his anger.

"You made a decision like this...? Lt... do not let it happen again, or you will be executed."

The Lt. looked at Sirus, and nodded to him. He quickly left the bridge, cleary frightened.

"Com, patch a message through to Azaha prime, directly to Lord Exio." ordered Sirus. At first the com officer looked at him questioningly, but went to the task at hand. "Com is open, sir"

"This is the Azaha Guardian, captian Sirus reporting. Location suitable for conquer: Not possible, a massive alliance protects this area of space, even outnumbering us, if what they say is true. Though they have offered planets, and a non-agression pact. Lord Exio... you are needed once more."

Victoria stretched after the representatives left to be escorted to their craft by Star Guard marines. She made a mental note to write up a request for an imperial representative to meet with Captain Sirus, or whomever the Azahans would send.

Ambassador Choren had been waiting for a while to get into contact with this 'Captain Sirus' so he decided to contact that Azaha Guardian and find out when Sirus would be free.

"Attention Azaha Guardian, this is Ambassador Choren of Veredia, any idea when Captain Sirus will be available?" he asked over the comm.
