I was going to leave this until after the name poll, but it seems a long time to postpone something important to, so:

Feel free to contribute any changes to the proposed draft, member or non-member. The constitution must benefit the members of the alliance, not other alliances.

NOTE: This is a DRAFT and until it is accepted by ALL members, in any form or revision, will the laws and bylaws concerned become effective!!!


The Alliance's Purpose
To promote trade and interdependance in left-wing nations, and also make them support each other in times of war, when a leftist nation alone won't stand a chance.

Membership

Any left-wing (i.e democracies, benevolent dictatorships, etc.) nation can join, as long as it accepts the final constitution. No right-wing nations can join as it will defeat the purpose of the alliance. Centrists from now on are allowed, but they are only allowed in if they choose to aid the leftists.

Rights and Duties
It is an allied nation's duty to:

Trade with all members of the alliance, what the allies need and is in surplus in the nation.
Aid other allies in times of war.
Aid other allies after major disasters or crises not related to war.


It is an allied nation's right to:

Trade, to help stabilize the economy
Aid in times of famine, disaster or crisis.
Be treat as an equal in the alliance and not used or abused in any way relating to the alliance.


Policies
The Alliance WILL:

Promote trade in its members.
Support its members.
Support fair trial and punishment in its members.

The Alliance WILL NOT:

Allow unjust mutual attack. Any proposals for mutual war will be discussed by the members and voted on.
Allow discrimination of any other leftist alliances.
Allow discrimination of ethical minorities.

Sirs,

We write in the first instance to congratulate you on your venture, and to wish it well. In the second, we write to put forward a proposal for limited membership of both Lasatania and Ruro-Severia, collectively known as Greater Lasatania, of this alliance.

Given that the combined population of these two nations is close to two billion, we reckon that you might see the strength that we could lend, should we choose to.

However, we wish our membership to be undeclared, and secondly, we shall only intervene where we consider our intervention is necessary. We shall not offer support publicly, nor shall we advertise our 'limited membership'. However, in times of war or crisis during which we feel compelled to act, we shall provide every piece of support you require, including armed forces and the supply of hardware at a discounted rate.

We ask that you give serious consideration to our proposal and respond with your views on this.

Yes. Im a liberal nation in the RWC.

Just because your a liberal nation, doesn't your a Left Winger. Besides The RWC is Right Wing, if I am correct, so is it not a conflict of interest?

As for the draft consitution, it looks fine too me.
